Window tints...
Advise not to tint the front drop glass windows, its highly likely to make them illegal. Some of the Scottish police forces are now handing out fixed penalty tickets as well as making you take the tints off. Could also cause problems with any insurance claims because the car wont meet with C&U regulations.

News Report motorists paying £13,500,000 a year to fix doggy workmanship by traders
Cant agree more. when a plumber etc needs to be corgi registered to touch any gas instalation, why is it that anybody can fix brakes etc on vehicles that have a potential to be even more devistating than a gas leak ?????

HELP!! Bleeding clutch!
air in the system should mean the clutch dosent clear ie it should be hard or imposible to select a gear with the engine running. it shouldnt cause clutch slip. What were the initial symptoms could be your clutch is goosed and thats why you cant get it bled proprely ( too much travel) either that or youve adjusted the clutch rod too far

Plan for 2006
Hopefully I will get a bit more free time next year, too much happened this year to enjoy my first full year of 300 ownership, hopefully get to a few more meets defiantely JAE next year, Soooooo wanted to be there this year but it wasnt to be!! maybey we can start to plan for a Scottish contingent convoy early in the new year. On a more local setting I think the monthly meet would be too much given the distance some of the guys would have to travel, but a 2 month or even a quarterly meet would be pretty good. Fling in a couple of good runs, and even a weekend away b&b or camping. We've got some of the best driving roads in the country ( especially up north) , without the same amount of spy boxes at the side of the road as our buddies south of the border. so why not make use of them. Just make sure we comprimise between good roads, great scenery and towns with lots of pubs.

HELP!! Bleeding clutch!
just a thought are you bleeding it at the slave cylinder or the bleed point at the inner wing ???? cause that fooker caught me right out :o :o. Smart ass me didnt read the manual cause I Know better (20 odd years of working on motors. mainly heavies and most of which have hydraulic clutch operation and i thought id seen it all) had already seen the bleed nipple but thought it was for the coolant system because of the size of the pipe going to it. :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

Haven't they got anything better to do ?
Agree with all the comments here, but there is another side to the story as always. This time its reported the child was closely supervised, but thats not always the case. Ive seen kids around the same age around my area out with their "toys" and mum or dad watching from the end of the road. kids that age can barely walk 10 yards in a staight line let alone be allowed to control a motorised toy next to a road. ffs in a blink of an eye they could end up as another tragic statistic. another thing how would you like one of the little lovelies loseing it and scrapping up the side of your pride and joy parked at the side of the road. Yep the cop maybe went around things the wrong way, but these things should be kept for gardens and parks.

Summarise your 2005
Yep got to keep going and try to look on the bright side, its just things do get to you a bit at times, especially the last two years for me. In an 18 month period I lost my dad, step mum, gran, two uncles and a work collegue (car crash). one of my uncles was killed in an accident at work, he was only a couple of years older than me that hit the whole family really hard !!! But as you say thers always good times and bad times, hopefully im gonna hit some really good times now :D :D :D

Summarise your 2005
Put a deposit on a new house in March then got a call the same night that my step mum had just died. Spent all spring decorating and tidying my own house to put on the market. Then on Sunday 26 June while working on the Z got a phone call, my dad had died (59 years old ffs). spent all summer doing my dads house and making all the arrangements with the estate etc. From the begining of Autumn been trying to sell 2 houses when the market has died. My old house is supposed to be getting handed over to its new owner this friday after finally selling it, but still the lawyers are dragging their asses and nothings signed yet. Due to a combination of moving to the new house ( with garage for the Z )and a clutch fault the Z was laid up for about 4 weeks, got the clutch fixed washed the car then drove it 2mls into town only for a woman to ram into the side of it mangaling the drivers door and front wing. 2005 has been a shit year :( Still just had an offer put on my dads house so hopefully 2006 is going to be a whole lot better. It sure cant be much worse!!!!
