Hi Scotty sorry i didnt get back to the PM sooner. Ive been off line due to moving home. I'll try and get to the jedburgh meet complete with the customised Z ( thanks to the talented bodywork designer i had the missfortune to meet in Falkirk retail park, I now have a reshaped drivers door and front wing) :( I confirm nearer the day
  6. Quite a few of the UK Z's are fitted with cloth seats, during my 6 month search for one probably 40% were fitted with cloth, but all had excessive tin worm, I realised thats the price you pay if you want UK and had to bite the bullet and buy one with the least corroded sills and a rotten tail gate, still got mine for a good price so that helped pay for the welding
  7.
  8. lol looks like half the forums moving home at the moment. I move next month  still got to sell the current house though :( , but all the hassle will be worth it just to get a garage for the Z (if it fits) I also need to find a new broadband provider, im with blueyonder at the mo and am quite happy with them but apparently they dont cover the new housing estate im moving to yet, swore id never go back to bt so looking for recommendations. ps good luck with the moves lads
  9. Ermmm dont take this wrong, but you need to seek specialist help!! urgently!!
  10. Fook all wrong with pugs, :) got on as my daily drive. and its a turbo too!!! (well its a 19tdi) does the job and the best thing is it makes me really appreciate the Z when i go out to play in it. does driving a turbo pug (406 estate) make me a chave then???? :( :( :(
  11. Another way to get them to loosen without heat is to belt the nut with a hammer whilst holding another (preferably bigger) hammer at the other side of the nut... sometimes works sometimes doesnt but worth a try
  12. you asked how many were still in the UK. so by that I took it some git was sending them all abroad. ;)
  13. no they dont get paid, they just get a £1000 allowance as long as they are on duty for a least 60hrs per year, not a bad hourly rate me thinks!!!
  14. What are they exporting them now??????
  15. personnally I thought the yellow hose sticker was cool !!!! really unusual whered u dig that up from chunk????
  16. fooook nearly at 200, me thinks I need to type some more pish!!!!! ;)
  17. lol what is it now? £1000 for 60 hrs sounds fine by me!!!!
  18. Yep agree with the last couple of posts, manufacturers fall over each other trying to get forces to buy their cars because its great advertising, and because of this the police get the cars at a knock down price. the one you saw with leather is probably a demo motor, the manufacturers are always dishing these out and are usually a higher spec than the police end up buying. regards the type of motors that are being used its horses for courses, specialist units need motors suitable for their needs. SO19 will need something big enough to carry them and their kit, get where ever they are going quickly and be able to cope with just about any terrain hence the X5. do you want the whole of the UK police fleet being diesel focus's. FFS never mind terrorists armed robbers etc, even chavs in corsa's would out run them. Believe it or not there are a lot of bad people out there and the police have a tough enough time without being critised all the time. to catch these guys they need the equipment that does the job so give it to them!!!!! As long as they dont raise my tax to do it :D :D :D :D :D
  19. Sorry to the oranisers!!! i didnt get there this year personal circumstances meant i couldnt get down. and id been looking forwards to this for months too!! Next year circumstances permitting i'll be there. Cos apologes but if i can get down to some of the more southern meets i will then you can see your ex, but she's all mine now hehe!

  21. hmmmmmm worrying!!! what were you doing with that mag to be able to scan the front page ?????
  22. yeh everyone slags rovers but I had an 800 vittesse, 2ltr turbo it was a great car apart from crappy leccy windows. boy did I miss it when I sold it and bought a 406 td estate :o . Its alright now i got the Z :D :D
  23. Agree with Sgt C, that wasnt police who carried out the emission check they dont do that. it was either VOSA or the local authority council If it had been the police who issued the paper work he'd have got a 21 day slip (V rec) and have to have the emissions checked at an mot centre vosa would issue a pg9 delayed prohibition order allowing you to use the vehicle for a maximum of 10 days before you had to put the car through a full test dont know about the council they probably just hit you with a £500 fine :D The emission testing is really a political thing, the government has got to show the EEC its doing its bit against pollution and gobal warming etc, they are the ones for these checks
  24. Whats wrong with that???? i'm just going out to fit the tow bar to the Z so that i can bring the caravan down to JAE :D
  25. Errm not sure now youve got me a bit concerned!!! you sound a bit serious!!! how much do you love her?? cause I dont want any splooge marks over her arse ;) :D Yep hoping to be down on the Friday night for the whole weekend. so you can see your lost love :D :D
