  1. There are guides out there on fitting, you'll find then on http://www.300zx.org.uk , but its very straight forward. 2 nuts at the top, 1 bolt at bottom. and you'll have to remove all the plastic boot trim to get to the rear shocks top nuts.
  2. friendly/dodgy MOT inspector who'll sign the producer to say they've been removed ? ;)
  3. Nice one :D Which nights are being booked, and how many rooms ?
  4. Click your name, then click view profile...and in there is a link to view all threads started http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/search.php?do=process&showposts=0&starteronly=1&exactname=1&searchuser=craigyork
  5. Try checking the connecor pins for corrosion and cleaning first.
  6. Courtesy Nissan sell a leather version, so it may have been swapped for that, or like a lot of us do and retrim it and the rest of the panels.
  7. Stock TT rev limit is 6800. Most chips raise the limit to 7200. You wont want to go past this stock injectors. I expect its the same for the NA. Although the NA has its powerband higher up the rev range your still out of the peak power band by then so there is no real point in going past the limit. It will give you a few mph more in each gear, but is more than likely slower than actually changing at a lower rpm. With a TT, with different turbo's a higher rev limit allows you to make more use of the higher power band.
  8. sounds like a bargain to me
  9. make sure you get the "Solvent" version, not the "Solvent free" version as thats crap ! B&Q sell it, and usually have to take empty tin to counter and they get full tin out of their safe/lockup
  10. My response was only in relation to your first comment, hence why I did'nt include your entire post! ....and was meant to be a helpfull advice. ...umm ok, well to correct your confusion, There are no traders selling chips with freeware style downloaded maps of the internet.(that Im aware of) AndyP sells Nisstek chips with full ownership. John Dixon maps his own chips Ztech and zen can supply and fit chips based on the expensive ($500) jwt ecu and Mines varieties. DTA sale their own mapped chips none of the above are custom maps to your specific car or freebie chips. John Dixon can however offer full Dyno mapped Chips for your specific car.
  11. ...that would be an absolute bargain of the century if it was a custom remap. Looking at more like £200-£1000 for that.
  12. Usually between £50-£100 They ensure proper fuelling and timing for increase boost, but its actually the boost increase that gives the majority of the power increase. Some chips run safer (less power), others offer more power with leaner fuel mixture and more advanced timing, but more risk of detting. AndyP, John Dixon, Ztech, Zen, DTA can all provide different Chip options.
  13. Its a Supid idea, yes ;) But speak to Blackmagic, he has a flamer kit
  14. Nitropow and Bee Gee Vinz too
  15. Any more news ? Wife is moaning about taking her clothes shopping, so why not just buy a load of 300zx.co.uk clothing for her ;)

  20. Welcome :) The Fault you described is very common with Series 1 ptu's. The Series 2 PTU is far more reliable and was a Nissan Recall replacement on all U.S Zed's, but Nissan never saw fit to making the recall in UK or Japan. Available from MJP Parts (see traders section) or from courtesyparts.com Price is around the £120-£150 mark I believe Failing that, working S1 PTU;s often pop up for around £40-£50 in the Parts for sale section
  21. Quite often lately...In fact Im off there in a minute....its a hard work... ....but somebody has to drive the wife to the gym and collect her again while her car is off the road. I suppose I should join really
