  1. A fantastic turnout....I forgot to count, but think we had about 25 cars
  2. 400..you sure ?...that 31 mpg ...way more than everyone else is getting on average
  3. I work from home as an Internet consultant to a Large International IT Business software company, and have done so for the past 6 years. Got called to visit the head office today....190 miles away (6 hour round trip  ) for a 30mins meeting :xxx: ....whereapon Im told I am being made redundant ! :headvswal  ho hum :(
  4. Failing turbo's do not cause safety boost. Safety boost occures when the ECU receives a incorrect signal or no signal from one of the sensors around the car. Perform an ECU test to find the cause :http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html p.s you could have another few years of turbo life. (depending on mileage ofcourse, but many last over 120k)
  5. I always thought that the only people to buy white lightenging was underage kids, who use it as the cheapest and most effective way to get everyone pissed in the local park before attending the junior nightclub. Not that I ever did anything like that when I was a little'un. Honest.

  11. Labour costs for fitting new clutch average at £125-£175 , so expect the same cost for rear main seal replacement.
  12. The main problem with getting a good launch in the zed is grip. Stock wheel sizes are just too small to put the power down, and wider wheels offer quite an advantage...especially one with Increased boost.
  13.
  14. Not keen on that front or rear. Have Quite a dated look to them. Prefer something more modern looking than the stock styles.

Hmm..nomally I would say changing the Zed headlights is a Big NO NO....they are one of the more integral design features of the car. New Glass enginering techniques had to be manufacturerd to mass produce the lenses, and I think it may be the first car with ellipsiod lights(dont quote me on that last bit) However!....They are nice !!! Dont fit those rear lights though, they look older than zed lenses.
  16. We will certainly be having more Cornish & devon meets this year. Im hoping to arrange a big meet for us all to attend, somewhere central (exeter area), but there will be more meets arranged on dual dates to cater for northerly and southerly regions during the summer months. Im also in Cornwall (Truro area) for a weekend every other month, so I'll try and arrange a get-together next time Im down. SW Diary here : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=62889 Suggestions thread here : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=62888 You can also PM/email me suggestions and ideas.
  17. Not sure about that. Front and rear bumpers just replace originals, so no extra there. Side skirts are extra but weigh very little, and half the original metal arches are cut away to fit the fibreglass arches. 265 wide tyres going to give a lot more grip than stock wheels, giving better acceleration. Profile should be the same so wont affect anything that way...the only thing is that the wheels probably weigh more. But I would expect the grip to far more than make up for that. Plus swb quite a bit lighter than lwb (more than bodykit and wheels weigh) 5.7 secs is respectable, although zed with chip, exhaust, filter and 13-14psi boost can get under 5secs

Pics and story is from March 05. Nissan will prob have the big V8 in the 350z by the time Toyota launch the new car.
  19. Blueflame Powerflow and Alunox (amongst others) will custom build, or try Zclub.net, thats a forum that caters for the Z31
  20. Decat, Manifolds, Divorced Wastegate Turbo elbows, Lightened Flywheel, Chip & Boost controller(instead of boost jets) will all add responsiveness and quicker spool.
