any weekend in december. Somewhere where everyone in region can easily commute or hotel/b&B it......main city like bristol ? Lots of Mistletoe !
  4. Im literally 50 yards from the exchange, and get less than half what you get off-peak (6-7mb/s) and about 1/4 of that again during peak times (2mb/s) through Sky.
  5. So sorry to hear. My condolences to you and your family.
  6. Having sold your Z and left the committee, your really showing your true colours in public now Bri. Way to go !
  7. That reminds me, is it possible to get updated Lanyards? Mine has wrong username and car details now. Personal insult uncalled for. Dissapointing.
  8. I started with a rolling shell...stripped it back to a bare shell, then rebuilt with new oem or upgraded aftermarket parts as a I go. Car is 95% road ready, but been on hold for past 2 years.
  9. probbably http://www.thebellstanderwick.co.uk/page/the_menu
  10. I dont give excuses...... ......I just dont turn up :p But I will be there Sunday !
  11. you edited your post , and all the quotes...ruining the joke.
  12. Out of interest Jaffa, what sort of mpg would you average on typical long (motorway) run ?
  13. filthy teens ? whoa...wrong site dude !
  14. Yeh, jeff has one. I've not had a 540i, but did run a E39 until recently. Absolutely love it, brilliant car and can fully understand the "best car in the world" accolades it received during its production. I will have another one, and it will be the 530D
  15. Take it easy when working under the z guys. We very sadly lost a club member under a very similar scenario a few years back :(
  16. except no 4G in the UK for at least a couple of years. Paper specs suggest comparable performance with the iPhone. Larger screen is nice, at the expense of a bigger phone in your pocket, but at a lower dpi. Hands its arse on a plate? no, but a competitive alternative, potentially.
  17. All parts on my car were obtained through sexual favors and the labour done by myself. So its either the cheapest or the most expensive.
  18. I'm sure we were all the same...before we got a smartphone....then everything changes :)
  19. Excellent. :D
  20. Yep, unfortunatly its plastered all over the new Log book these days "This document is not proof of ownership"
  21. no, They take a couple of seconds to reach full brightness, and flashing severely shortens their lifespan.
  22. I dont believe I've missed your point, I meant when new too ;) The M5 was £32k, the LC was a rediculous £48k The M5 was a little behind on the straight line performance, but would destroy it on track. The B10-bi turbo was a close match, and famously renowned for embarrassing the Ferrari Testorossa, made in even less numbers than the LC, and far more tunable with its twin turbo setup. They are high performance versions of a far superior car than the LC was based on, built with high quality materials with first class engineering, and they were cheaper too. The LC is a modified and kitted Carlton gsi, which was fairly dire to begin with. In its own right, the LC is not a bad car....its just over-hyped both in reputation and price compared to what else was available.
  23. MJP...always MJP for OEM in the Uk!
  24. Bmw M5 or Bmw Alpina B10 bi-turbo are the cars I instantly think of as alternatives to the max powered Carlton. Both of which are far superior and cost less.
