  1. R32 or R33 . GTS (non turbo) or GTST (single turbo) ? R32 is'nt actually much more praticle in the rear then the zed, but the R33 is. Im guessing its the R33 GTST ? In which case its around 250hp as standard....faster than an NA zed but not as fast as a TT...a bit mundane to look at and drive in comparison but a bit more praticle.
  2. Have seen several times on zed's, including on my own Black TT, resulting in Cooked heads :(

Im going to have to pull out...gutted :( While car is not currently ready I have every confidence she will be running by the weekend :hyper: , but it has to go to bodyshop after that and then the MOT centre before she can be unleashed
  4. Yes, Datascan shows Wastege solenoids....and Throttle sensor (TPS) voltage. TPS is the little black box about size of a small box of matches on the side of Passenger side throttle body.
  5. Stock spoiler looks nasty, ruins the lines of the car and I've also travelled at similar speeds without spoiler....and It didnt make any difference ! 99spec will be going on my Zed though..but may have to swap it later on for something a bit adjustable that most people will hate when it becomes time to start competing it :wack:
  6. Same scenario if Viscous fan fails
  7. LOL nice kill. Had a go against a Cayman S about a month back. Except zed was in safety boost so was only marginally quicker, side by side on dual carriageway around this long sweeping bend until the Cayman nearly lost it mid bend while the zed crept past. Had a quick chat at traffic lights and driver was pretty cool though.
  8. Was it an Unorthodox pulley, not had a problem with the woodruf key in them before...but the Ebay jobbies are notorius for it.
  9. Yep, I'd go with that since disconnecting them will put you in safety mode it has to be that they receive power for extended(normal) boost, and no power for safety. Did you check for Error codes after taking the car for a drive (and getting into positive boost) and without switching of the ignition ?

The best stock-size brake setup your going to get for the money : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/300zx-Hawk-pads-Brembo-drilled-grooved-disc-deal_W0QQitemZ150154045024QQihZ005QQcategoryZ23013QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem But tbh if your looking to take her on the track then your going to have to go for a Bigger Brake setup (Bigger calipers, bigger discs). Your options there range from a 2nd hand Skyline GTR or 350z Brembo setup or the popular new K-sport range. After that it starts getting into the thousands of ££ mark with the likes of AP racing, Wilwood..etc

Stock is 9.5psi / 0.66 bar. Do you have the ECU chipped.....if not then I would'nt recomend going over 12psi/ 0.8 bar if you do have it chipped then most run at around 14psi/1.0 bar While the intercoolers are a restriction, its actually the Injectors that are the biggest limit.
  12. he only asked what Dials you have ! :headvswal Are you referring to his Signature !? thats not his reply to you. btw - May I suggest you rename you threads something other than your username.....
  13. I would go : 235 front. 265 or 285 rear Goodyear F1's Toyo Proxies and Falken 452's are popular choices. p.s remove that limiter and you can expect to see aover 170 !
  14. We quite often have joint Zed and Supra meets in the south west. Most recent one was last week.
  15. Yep there is a Low fuel light, the little fuel symbol on the fuel gauge will light up.
  16. yep its just telling you that its switched to power mode becuase you have floored it.
  17. Search is your friend ;) Question comes up every week, Im sure its in the FAQ too. Method 1 http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html Method 2 http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/ECUdiagnostics.html
  18. Yes they are stiffer. Stock spring rates are : 157 lb front , 134 lb rear Those Tein are 196 ib front, 191 Ib rear However, I would go for Eibachs instead, far more popular, they are progressive (soak up little bumps better and stiffen up as more pressure is applied) have a more level drop and are about the same price and available from UK traders. Eibachs are 185-250 lb front, 145-200 Rear (progessive hence the range)
  19. Temperature sender for the Climate control
  20. um...check his username and signature bud ;) Paul is the forums 300zx Specialist garage trader - SWZ Performance
  21. Hicas bushes and/or Rear shocks If you do want to change Subframe bushes then expect to pay anything from 6-8 hours labour. EDIT... like Andy ^^ says LOL
  22. my mph-kph conversion was wrong, sorry, so yeh that does seem a bit better. 0-60 time is about right for an Auto...
  23. £700 Parts £500 fitting Thats with a used clutch, obviously more if you want a new or aftermarket one.
  24. That does sounds a bit slow tbh... Standard 0-100mph (0-185 kph) should be around 14 secs (or under 12secs with 1 bar boost). Yours took 6 secs longer with the advantage of a 15mph rolling start....... ..sorry :(
  25. Shit, ******* :( Sorry to see mate I know SWZ has had window fitters out a couple of times to replace windscreens and have supplied own glass.....pretty sure the costs were £100 to remove from one car and fit to another so I would just ring around and avoid the big known companies, probably against there policy.
