  1. ****ing sh*tty ****wit ****ers ................ Do we have anyone that really knows their stuff on Wheel clamping rules/regulations ? Independent SIA licenced company, on private land. Basically I need to know if there are specific rules that detail that Clampers must be available to release your car when you contact them to pay. I cant find jacksh*t on the internet about current regulations in that regards.
  2. While Im also a Bmw fan, I would go for the Audi. The A3 is a much newer car design than the e36 and the 1.8T is a great little engine. I had an A3 company car many years back...my only gripe with it was rear seat leg room. I could not get babyseat in it behind me....but then I am 6'2
  3. 99spec for sure. The 89 is too square and very dated for my tastes, plus it breaks up the Z's sleek lines by hiding the natural curves of the tailgate. I would go for the 99spec front too, both help tranform its dated looks to something much more modern and sleek.
  4. All non-turbos are Imports, and its quite typical for V5 info to be incorrect in the case of imports.
  5. tbh, your better best is just to sell the 350z rears , and purchase some gtr rears, which are Identical but straigth bolt on. Should'nt have much problem selling the 350z rears, and potentially sell for more than you can pick up gtr rears anyway. But to answer your question, only only Z i've worked on that had 350z rears, had the lugs cut and rewelded.
  6. Looks fantastic to me, would look better with the bodycoloured lower skirts rather than the black though. Would'nt own one, prefer the 5series, but always liked them, great looking car. Had to strip a e38 like that once; Top quality build, the engineering makes other cars look like toys.
  7. Im suprised we have so many heavily slagging it off. The exterior, interior and rest of car look great and the spec is top stuff..... but "a minger" , "suprised it turns over" , "ready for the scrappers"... its just a dirty engine bay ! Ofcourse if your buying it for the spec then your going to want receipts, dyno printouts..etc of proof of parts and work done.
  8. there are a number of Z's running over 500 at the rear wheels, (e.g 600hp at fly) on a stock engine. ........but freshly rebuilt stock engines. Its not something I would ever attempt on a 20yr old, 100k motor. The point being that there are a number of points to be taken into account. The condition and subsequently the fatigue situation of current engine components...and then the Mapping. Detonation from poor mapping will very quickly melt stock pistons, but forged items will withstand a lot more. The stock crank and rods are Forged as standard. The pistons are not.
  9. yeh, see what you mean, but think its just becuase its germany...or at least somewhere in mainland europe and about 20yrs old
  10. Pretty sure I know the pic, its an old strosek publicity pic I believe, with the quad tails. I will see if I have it still lol Im going to hazard a guess its at least newer than 1989 :p
  11. ^^^^ This is what I did. Its the FIA harness mounts I used. I just had to cut them down to fit in the pillar as they were too wide. Once cut down I inserted the plate through a gap further down the pillar and pulled it up into location. This way the plate sits within the pillar, behind the sheet metal rather than welded to the outside of it. These http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Harness-eye-backing-plate-FIA-approved-/370411228599?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item563e3acdb7
  12. It has the spec to deliver that sort of power (650hp + nos @flywheel), if thats what your asking, yes. Wether it actually has that power is a different matter, but still impressive and should fetch £8k. Engine bay looks very typical of a car modified in japan, inc stock rad..etc
  13. Really not sure what the emission numbers look like on a typical decatted Z. Perhaps we can get people posting the numbers from previous mots.
  14. If the Turbo is out of budget, then I'd go for the Regular 996 Coupe , perhaps with GT3 kit. ..or the 993, that is ^^^^^ Very nice.
  15. Carbon Canistor has nothing to do with exhaust emissions. Im not aware of any elimination kit, its always been a diy job I believe. As Groover explained and as per Paul's link all pre-95 Z32's are tested as non-cat equipped cars anyway. A Z running correctly will have no problems passing a non-cat Emissions test without cat fitted.
  16. Despite its simplistic/laughable 16bit graphics and basic gameplay, everyone seems to be playing this recently. over 600,000 paid-up players so far, and its only in the Alpha (testing) phase. Any other fellow Minecraft players here ?
  17. I purchased some universal frames then cut and welded the floor mounting points of a stock frame onto the universal frame. I initially used stock frames, modified to fit my Cobra's but found they sat to high for my preference.
  18. Monoflex tend to come in a 8kg/6kg range, which is an accepted spring rate for a Road setup for the Z. You could get custom rates (6/4) for a softer ride. I'd spend the money on the Meister-R's myself though. Comparable spec but a lot better value. Teins tend to be overpriced and the Super-streets are very poorly specced for the price, with a dated twin tube design and non-independed ride height control.
  19. You should have a hashed(criss-crossed textured) area which indicates the min and max range. If not then then you have incorrect dipstick.
  20. gah...voted for Alonso as I thought it was who I think will win. I'd like Webber to win though
  21. No, Internally no difference. Just the Outlets for oil cooler as Jeff says.
