  1. i did'nt think the Z32 had a safety rating at all? Pre-dates all that ? Googled the 350z and it has really good results, 4-5 stars out of 5 in each area. If it does have a rating then the results dont make sense - if the door does not fly open in a crash then wether its on the pullar or the door would make no difference that i can conceive.....yet clearly if the door does fly open and the belt is on it - your ****ed ! Nissan even got rid of the belt on the doors of Jap models from 92 onwards.
  2. There are loads on ebay, brand new from about £20. You just have to search for 200sx boss instead, same fitment its just the sellers dont realise they fit the Z too. (this is for the non-hicas boss btw, the Hicas boss is Z specific, espensive and rarer)
  3. lol. Jason first reply is on page8 btw
  4. I know/knew a guy whose family own 10 Z's ; he owns - Vert TT, 2+2 TT, Slicktop , 1 breaker Sister - 2+2 TT Widearch Brother - 2+2 TT Dad - slicktop TT, Vert NA, 1 breaker Mum - Vert NA
  5. Depends on the front bumper choice really. Some look fine without skirts, some really dont.
  6. What colour are the bands on the resistor ?
  7. Yes it will fit, but is not compatable with the TT Hicas system.
  8. Have you removed already? Its not always easy to remove in once piece and it would need to be 100% mint to be saleable. They are not normally worth anything.
  9. I presume you mean you dont want to risk damaging your 18's as nothing wrong with 18's for drifting. Anything other than the standard 16's or something other plan looking 16's is going to look wrong in that size, especially with a dish which tends to make a wheel look smaller diameter anyway imo. OEM or perhaps 200sx wheels.
  10. Do it at the ECU instead of the connector. Pins23 and 50.
  11. damn, sry for some reason i thought we were talking about the pin strip that goes around the car :x: my bad.

  13. damn. nothing here.

  15. Congrats to you both ! :thumbup1:
  16. Since you disagree with Paul and Jimmer who are both Mot testers, are you perhaps confusing the VOSA inspection rules, such as used for new/kit cars, rather than Mot regulations.
  17. Im a student , doing a 4yr Masters Degree in Mechanical/Motorsport Engineering . I will have over 30k in Student loans to payback apon completion - Uni is not free, not cheap and certainly not an easy option for people doing a highend degree. I have seen some obscure degree's listed, but its certaintly not "most students" , my course is one of the hardest to get on to and hardest to complete, but with the highest earning potential upon completion. For me this was a major life changing decision to take at the age of 30, to better my future career, you cant take up a career as a "proper" engineer without a full engineering degree. Im sure there are some who go to Uni to avoid work or just go for the social aspect, but they soon drop out or get kicked out when they cant keep up. But these fee increases would add up to £20k across the degree on top of the current costs, and thats no small change !
  18. If you look at the 99spec from dead behind you will see why its the width it is....it flows perfectly with the contour of the side of the car, making it the perfect width.
  19. mrogers old car (also called s-tune for a while) , and once belonged to shunter the clubx ex-secretary. It was in very poor condition. I was told by shunter its a custom kit.
  20. Clamped for an unpaid parking charge in same car park from 14days earlier :x: Its all proper signposted, as much as it pisses me off it seems they are legally allowed to clamp me for it, but ****ign rediculous that unable to remove it that day. If I did'nt need to park there again I would of cut the thing off. Had a bit of a go at first but the chain is wrapped around my suspension arms and had no cutting tools on me. Intending to Pay then make official complaint and appeal through my University who contract the clamping firm. In the end our very own Murt came to the rescue and gave me a lift home (a 100mile round trip for him !), he's a legend  , and Im goign to have to a catch train in tomorrow...I dont do public transport ffs. Annoyingly I discovered there is a new government Freedom bill which will ban clamping on private land except for dvla or Council authority clampers and it will revoke all SIA licenses. It was due to come out this month, but has been pushed back till early next year ! :(
  21. I was very very tempted....proper rageing, .....problem is its a carpark I need to use everyday. Consequences would definatly bite me. Car is still clamped atm. Its 50miles away from home and today is my dayoff, with other plans. Rang them and told them I will be there tomorrow to sort it out (to make sure they dont tow it).
  22. ahhh, Thanks :) I can see "reasonable times" being a loophole for them. I discovered i was clamped at 5:30pm last night in my Uni Car park. Spent 1hr30mins trying to get through to them. When I eventually did at 7pm I was told builders had knocked out there phoneline and they just had BT divert it. When I then tried to pay I was told payment had to be made at the car, not over the phone, and nobody will be available till 11am the next day.
