LED amber indicator bulbs?
I can shed a bit of light here please see the pics as i have these fitted in the side lights and the indicator at the front corner. I also have the very bright amber bulb on the side and the combination makes them flash fast but this does not bother me and passed the mot. :tt2: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320516287088&viewitem=

If you are hanging a 8 foot gate or a 3 foot gate for that matter, I recommend these adjusters for the bottom as over time, just ask your wife, things will move :tt2: This is my drive set up.

Well Graham thank you very much for those blue strips you prepared for me and they are now fitted. Much better than the green and more importantly match all the other blue in the car as you can see. Once more wonderfull work and service from you. Hi again
Sale :) Just a bit south west for me, i was hoping for something up nearer the Bury end of Manchester. Not to worry, I will keep you mind if my travels take me more southern. Good look with your search, with the money you have you must be looking at 1995 on. :cool3:

The illuminated rear panel is all fitted now and very nice it looks to!!! I think it as a perfect brightness to it. Had to wait until 10.30pm to take the pics, as when I fit mid afternoon it is hardly visible in the daylight. One of the pics is taken with my hazards on, I was not going to include this but my GSD's ears are on it!!! Not sure what do with my spare untouched panel I have, I will have a think but I may buy a EL card for it and illuminate in red the same and then sell, but of course I risk breaking it if I attempt another!! :whistling:

Replacing bulbs
Cost me just the price of these, incredibly cheap from HK, don't know about longevity but eh I will cross that bridge, the ones I took out were phillips ones, and have been stored away just in case. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150438486670 I don't know why the HK ones are described as xenon and white as they are clearly not alongside my HID dipped  but I didn't buy them for that. Regarding the Meganes that's just ridiculous, they would not sell any in the showroom if Renault made the buyers aware of what is involved price wise for a simple bulb change  Renault designed that car that way, lets hope a bulb change is covered under warranty, probably not though!!!

Replacing bulbs
I have bought some 100w H1 bulbs for the main beam and fit today, just got them for flashing at folk really, get out the bloody way kinda thing!!! Blimey what a job it is!!!!!!!!! :pinch: The pipes must be removed for sure and even after that it is near impossible, especially the passenger side. Stick with it though and it can be done. I removed the rubber seal on the passenger side, again not an easy job in itself as its kinda stuck on over the years, and thought I will never get this back on!!!! After fitting the new bulb I then just offered up the rubber and with some blind pushing and poking with your fingers at full extent, it to my surprise did go back on quite well and seated perfectly. :tt2: Cut and scuffed hands is about spot on!!!! :sneaky2:

Ebay HID Xenons 55w 6000K H3
Had a nicer day sunday weather wise and was able to finish off the xenon job. :cool3: With the extensions stated and linked above, i was able to locate both ballasts in the nose panel, which you can say now is kinda full with these, the dual horns and the boost controller. Everything is now hidden after taking the time to feed all the cables through and cable tieing together. Both ballasts are bolted down and secure, you can see from the engine bay pics there is nothing there anymore!!! At the bulb end which of course is easily accessable, I have one wire disconnected and tailed off as I don't need the HID's in summer and I can now flash all I like without being concerned that this is hassling the xenons.

Ebay HID Xenons 55w 6000K H3
Never really been happy with the location of my ballasts, especially the nearside where I just had it tucked away but loose. But fear not in the drizzle today I have been re-locating under the nose panel with the help of these extensions with arrived very quick from an ebay seller http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360266390916&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT I have been rained off but I will finish the job tomorrow and post pics of the new location but they do reach quite easily now. :cool3: The extensions are for only the multi plugs part, for the spade connectors that go to your lights you need to just make up some yourself with spades and all that, simple job of course. :smartass:

illuminated rear panel on ebay
I have been fiddling today as I have my EL strip from glowhut. See the pics but I have just laid it and taped up the edges to stop any light bleed. :winkiss: I think it was a little orange really so I think you can see the difference in the two pics as on one of them I have shone it through a couple of sheets of red translucent folder dividers and this as just deepened up the colour. Will fit to the car very soon. :cool3:
