  1. I have a good look today at the wiring at the indicators and although I did get heartened when I found a loose wire on the passenger side, I could not get any joy. :glare: Joining and bridging wires across and all that. I was looking with the indicators flashing for a wire that became live with these on but could not find one, so alas I have gone back to the newly bought UK indicator stalk and my indicator lense is the indicators of course and my side lights are there instead of in the front fogs. If I would of got the side lights to come on with that corresponding indicator, I don't know what I would of done as I like my side lights where they are and to be on all the time. Forgot to say that when I got the car these indicator lenses where just doing the indicators, it is I that got these 'two job' lenses and converted them to side lights, so it's been a while if ever the car did light up that side of the road when indicated.
  2. to fit the new stalk was very easy, remove top and bottom cowl, two screws on the stalk and the multi plug, simples. i am going to look at my wiring in the front corners tomorrow and investigate. i might even put the j spec stalk back on now even when it does not cancel correctly!!!
  3. series 4 mine, late 94.
  4. Just need one for the other front corner now Al :clown:
  5. I have a Jap spec car and since I have had it the indicator on left turn did not cancel. :mad2: I have off ebay bought one and it was advertised as a UK spec but it was very cheap and thought I would give it a go. :winkiss: I have included two pics, the Jap one on the left pic as an extra 3 pin multi plug that the UK one does not, so obviously I cannot connect the wire from the car if there is now nowhere for it to go!!! Tested everything and all seems to work perfectly :cool3: My question - Why this extra 3 pin on the J-specs??
  6. both T10 or 501, these are the brightest I know about from HK. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/5-LEDS-360-Xenon-White-T10-w5w-501-sidelight-BULBS-X2-/220633118854?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item335ec23886 come in all colours to
  7. joking aside, a bright shirt whether it be your favourite colour pink, purple, light blue and even orange all go with a suit especially for a wedding but you need a suitable tie in the correct colour to compliment both. i am turning into Gok Wan!!!!
  8. i think a pink shirt will go well with your skin tone - honey x :whistling:
  9. asda have similar stuff, try both. a grey suit will also do but not as good as black for a funeral. i think you can buy shirt and tie sets for around £7.00.
  10. here you are http://www.clothingattesco.com/men/tailoring/icat/mens-tailoring&bklist=icat,4,shop,catgmens,mens-tailoring
  11. black suit is all you need for all occassions, light blue shirt and a jazzy tie and you are sorted. for a funeral, god forbid, swop the shirt for a white one and the black tie. all these things can be bought at Tescos, the larger stores and you will easily get the lot for less than fifty nicker!!!!
  12. i was losing 5lbs a day out of one of mine, yes it's a pain!!!! :glare: i took one bolt out that was bubbling when dipped and washered it either side and put it back, did not cure it. i dipped it again and again i had a bubble, seemed to be coming out of the rim, this time i took off about 4 bolts either side and rubber washered these up, put them back as tight as i dared, i then just used the glue gun as a precaution on this tiny area on the inside and i now have no loss at all :tt2:
  13. Thank you very much for your reply. I did read up on the adjuster and so realised what it did and i have seen the red led. the larger injectors mapping for use not on my car? the same pen as crossed out the original stickers? and then written on. All this is quite normal? thanks again.
  14. Please view the thumbnails as this is my ECU. I have always known it was John Dixon but I know nothing else about it. :blushing: It states TT Auto on it but mine is a manual. It mentions about cc on some stickers and writing, is this something to do with injectors? :surrender: There is an adjuster on the side, what does this do? Could peoples advise me further on it please? I would be most grateful. Andy. :balloon:
  15. Lots of thin coats of course and lots of prep work on a warm dry day. When i have sprayed wheels in the past, I just overspray, no masking on the tyres, all this covers over with tyre wall black.
  16. perhaps he means rear tyres :whistling: :whistling:
  17. You can arrange DHL to collect here https://secure.justapplications.co.uk/payperparcel/Default.aspx tell the seller to attach your delivery address and clear tape it to it. you will probably have to have 2 tyres in each parcel, weight issue, all four cannot be handled together. So you will need to book 2 collections, total cost £16.20. Don't need packing any further as they can come to no harm.
  18. No not yet, over the weekend I am gonna just pop off the trim and see where the crack originates, probably be the very edge methinks. Will post up another pic. Then leaving the trim off with just the wiper arms back I will contact insurance and get the ball moving next week.
  19. I had considered the heat as it does get parked in the morning sun from 8am to 12.30pm. This particular day it did get quite warm by 12.30 but I have had it much warmer without any problem. One of those things I suppose, it just decided to go and was just coincidence it went the day after I had the trim off, Iwill leave it at that.
  20. Have you had the light pod off and then the multi plugs off and then back in again, this simple action could reveal something loose, give the wires a good wiggle!!
  21. You have never actually said whether or not there is power at your multi plug, presuming there is not then. Also, a bulb looking fine is not good enough, you need to light them up on a bench or direct from the battery. Do the simple things and it will be just that most probably.
  22. This is the colour to go for
  23. the bronze matches all the other glass, I don't think the blue will match as well.
  24. Bronze glass methinks with a blue sun strip it appears. Is that common?
  25. no thump at all, no stress, no difficulty in removing and replacing, it's a complete mystery how this as occurred!!!!
