  2. She has said to me only yesterday 'you wont be driving fast will you'!!! My reply 'no love' :glare:
  3. Cheeky - mine is forced induction :tt2:
  4. I am quite happy to meet later as 10.45 is plenty early enough for me but I thought you wanted to get to JAE earli-ish. 10.45, 11.15 - I am not bothered either/or :cool3: It's you that needs your beauty sleep - not me :whistling:
  5. I dont need to stop - I have a bag fitted these days :tt2: Could that be approx 10.45hrs Daz at Lymm services then, could be spot on that for me
  6. He his kidding everybody into thinking it will not be ready :sneaky2: He will turn up in it, i am sure, park it proudly on our stand all shiny
  7. What everyone needs is a MOT centre they trust and are honest/straight. I have one and even more luckily they are across the road from our Mill. Many many years ago I took a car to a 'cheap' testing station, thinking I was saving money and they found stuff wrong and work for themselves - never again :taz: Pay full price at the regular place you trust is my message :cool3: I feel for your problems mate, what a stressfull time you have had :cursing:
  8. I too have scratches when they catch the light that are vertical on the drivers side  On my 1991 MX5, they are notorious for winding up and down very slowly puttting stress on the cables and motor  I sprayed or drenched wd40 or similar on all the window rubber guides and they go up and down a treat, repeat every six months or so
  9. These are exactly like mine, for anyone that is interested  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290470593441&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT From a seller that often as some good gear for our cars and great with comms also, not bought off him though as yet.
  10. As 'Legrath' says, the plastic threads could be goosed and therefore the switch is not seating where it should. Mine are broke, I do have longer self tappers in there with some washers for spacers and I do have it working fine, I dont fully tighten them up either, if I do I have the same prob as you when it does not turn off with a flick.
  11. They give off a white light to match the 6000k HID's. Halogen H3's are too yellow  Not bright at all, so they don't bother/dazzle anybody, but I have not got them in there to light up the road. When the day is dull, I just hit the fog light button, I like to think of them as running lights really :thumbup1:
  12. here for goodness sake!!!!!! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=140674
  13. Why would you want to cover owt up??? Don't we all have a bonnet for that!!!!
  14. Nice work, they match very nicely. I have something like these in mine for the fogs http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-H3-Fog-Xenon-9-SMD-LED-White-Car-Headlight-Light-Bulb-/190427536672?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM my sidelights are in the indicator housing

I will be having a full day Sunday, but on the Saturday I will be arriving at about 3pm perhaps, will I still be able to get to the stand to park at this time?
  16. Top man  that is exactly what I need, I do have the surround bit but not the door, but will happily take it off you :crying: My wife will be there but I might even let you slip it in when we meet  Tell me, is that DVD out of your Gloria Gaynor box set??
  17. What a sweet cake Graham, you can bring my slice to JAE!!!! About your halo's, it doesn't look a crisp halo or is that the just the camera's fault. Be nice to see them in the flesh very soon. When i took my lights out and apart, it is a regret i didn't fit halos, once fitted it is then an option whether I was to use them or not. :glare:
  18. Not an arse Craig just a t**t :tt2: No joking aside, it is why I threaded as I just wanted exactly the info you have given me, so I thank you. Given that at some point somebody as goosed up the spring, I have done the next best thing and at least it moves about and I can live with that, I do have an accurate aftermarket one to glance at. You are probably correct the sender does have a fault and we know now that the needle as, two out two aint bad :whistling: Thanks again :winkiss:
  19. I have not touched the sender at all in 6 months. I think on mine the 'spring' was that mangled up for some reason it had got itself in such a position that it was braking the needle from moving. Once removed completely it had freedom again, albeit it reacts slow it seems, but this must be because this spring is now missing, best I can do unfortunately, can only conclude that my sender is fine. Many thanks Craig for your response.
  20. Yes nice, but it looks like the front fog is not working :tt2: About the wax, I use the link below - carnauba :winkiss:
  21. I could meet with you at J26 on the m6 at Orrell perhaps. Setting off at 10am you will get there at 10.30, I just need to set off from home at about 9.45am. Lets just see for now.
  22. Daz, you not coming on the Sunday at all? You may as well, not cost you anymore, travel back home mid afternoon that day. Wife and I are going south from JAE to Stansted for the Sunday night, monday across to Calais and into Belgium for some Tobacco amongst other things. Cos you not coming Sunday you will always on the saturday be a couple of hours in front of me, I will be passing the M58 at about 11.30am, too late for you with you not doing the Sunday??
  23. I to Daz am travelling down Saturday morning but not setting off until about 11am, I need time for my oats in the morning!!! :thumbup1: So it seems you are a little early for me, shame that :taz: Hotel first in Corby then to Wicksteed at about 4pm for the Sat evening/fireworks and then a full day Sunday after breakfast. See you then. ps, have you got the cover/door for the footwell panel? you said you would have a look, bring it with you if you locate. So good to have you back :whistling: :whistling:
  24. When I got the car 10 months ago, the oil pressure gauge just moved from cold and then after 10 mins would settle back to zero and would not move again until another start from cold then the same would happen. :confused1: About 6 months ago I got a Stack oil pressure gauge in bar for the 3 pod pillar mount, this works a treat and is connected to the sandwich plate. At the time of fitting I had the stock guage sender cleaned out, which I thought made no difference at the time as the same occurred. :tt1: Took the clocks apart to fit the blue smd odometer illumination and I was fiddling with the oil pressure needle once more. Now, I can only call it a coiled spring calibrator is it? thats sits to return it methinks, this was all beat up and just resembled thin metal ribbon, played with it briefly whilst flicking the needle and seemed to be happy with the position and action of it, decided to trim it and then it seemed to go all wrong so I removed it completely, it was all wrapped round crudely anyway, the needle now moves completely freely. Refit the clocks and went for a spin. As usual it moved to about 45psi on start up, drove a bit more until fully warm, It now works :thumbup1: although not very accurately as I expect they never were great. At idle it drops to about 20psi and then at 3000rpm is showing at around 50psi, never as yet as it gone above the 60psi centre mark. As 1bar is roughly 15psi and my aftermarket gauge is perfect and goes to even 6 bar at high revs/start up, it shows how inaccurate the stock gauge is or mine in particular? please let me know? :helpsmilie: When I turn the engine off the needle stays where it is, as soon as I put the ignition back on the needle immediately returns to zero, on start up the needle is back in motion again, all this normal behaviour? But eh, it now works and moves about which delights me, although it does move at it's own slow rate and not instant like the rev counter, it's like there is a satellite delay to it :whistling: So is the lesson remove the metal spring thingy!!
  25. As we all know, having glow dials stuck over the originals, the low fuel light does not shine through one bit :cursing: The orange capped bulb did work as I have seen it light up when I had the clocks out. Now, with me having an aftermarket steering wheel I have no need for the red Airbag light in the centre. I also know that another relocation for low fuel indication is the bottom left corner somewhere, but I have, yes you have guessed it, used the Airbag light  The wires just don't reach so with a little extension I have just touched or trapped the two under the bulb holder. After about 20 more miles, the new 'low fuel light' come on, the next 15 or so miles the light kept coming on and then off during journeys. The next 20 miles it was on all the time, I was half expecting it but was still a little surprised when I did in fact run out :cursing: thought I might get another 10 mainly motorway miles out of it as I was driving light footed for a while. I have since filled up and of course the fuel light never comes on at all as I am half full :cool3: It seems I have done it correctly, but tell me peoples please, is what I describe with the fuel light coming on and off and eventually running out consistent with yours?
