Heated Mirrors
Please refer to post 3, as the info stated by me is spot on. The drivers gets warm to the touch and is perfect but the passenger does not, methinks the glass in that one is not heated type as it should be but does it just pop off for me to check - does anybody know?

Heated Mirrors
When it was last steamed up, i turned the HRW on and the drivers side had a visible square in it that appeared and cleared the frost, the passenger side one did nothing. I will go out now and test again. Bye the way mine do still fold. On another note - What about that heater control pod - you said you were going to look for?

WTF ?? must be a misprint 25k ???
'Taking the piss' - you say he says, is he going to play hard ball and hold out for a more sensible offer :tt2: nearer 25 big ones :whistling:

Heated Mirrors
I think my drivers side heats up and clears quite quickly but not the passenger side. My question is - Does the glass just pop off to examine further or should I just leave and live with it as of course I do not want to break it? Thankyou.

Recommend me a dipped beam HID kit.......
You are better with 55w, a bit more woomph about them. You want H3 and 6000k. I got mine from this guy earlier this year and they arrived from HK unbelievably within a week :thumbup1: If you look on ebay also there are extension leads so you can mount your ballasts wherever you like. One final note - make sure all your headlight adjusters are working so you can get the alignments spot on. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H3-50W-55W-HID-Conversion-Xenon-Kit-4300K-6000K-8000K-/150503360843?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230ab3094b

US customs charges - how much?
When I have bought from the US it as been more than 10%. It gets handled and eventually delivered by Parcelforce and they charge £8 flat rate methinks, then there is the duty and I will guess it could be £15 more on around 100 squid. You have no choice but to pay once they write to you, no pay - no goods. You could ask the seller/company to mark the value down for you or in other words lie on their form/declaration but again my experience they do not. If you are really lucky you may escape with no duty/charges at all and I would of thought if this was to happen it would be on the £55 value, not so much on the £100 value. HTH

Waxoyled Today
Had it in my mind to take the Z somewhere to get it waxoyled but after searching on ebay I found that there was similar products in rattle cans. So I purchased the pictured from my local car parts store for a fiver  and then spent 40 mins with car in the air at my local garage, torch in one hand and spray can in the other doing it myself. Able with the straw to get in all nooks and crannies and am very pleased with the job, very very worthwhile :thumbup1: The car is very sound and I just have very slight rust on the inner sills, but coated everywhere and just had enough. It is sticky stuff as you can see - I have some on my thumb, no jokes there please :tongue_smilie: Recommend everyone does this at least once a year

SWB Boot Courtesy Light?
Seeing this pic today showing the boot light in a LWB, prompted me to ask the following Should my SWB have a light here? I don't even have cut out :confused1: Is it because the centre courtesy light in a shorty is supposed to light the boot with the blind down? Does a LWB have a courtesy light on both sides of boot? Thank you.

bumper lights
These have come from HK and they do fit but I don't like them, the colour is not as sharp or as white as the ones I recommend in post 17, which is surprising. I only use the front fogs as driving lights so a beam to light up the road is of no interest to me. However as well as my sidelights being in the indicator housing, I have now re fit these very bright and my fav 501's for the sidelight in the fog housing as was originally intended. So two lots of sidelights for me  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Xenon-White-T10-168-194-W5W-Wedge-5-SMD-5050-LED-LIGHT-/250715692130?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a5fd1dc62 Going to buy some of these now though to try :thumbup1: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-X-25-SMD-LED-Xenon-White-Car-Wedge-Light-Bulb-T10-W5W-/130423224421?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e5dd47865 Also available in red, amber and blue

Not 4-6 weeks at all :confused1: took a call out of the blue, no appointment but the driver was outside with my screen - so I rushed out and the glass is now fitted - at last :) Could not believe it  The glass is absolutely perfect but is not NISSAN it is a Pilkington copy  The scuttle is back and wipers, just need to fit the slicktop long bit of trim now :thumbup1:
