  1. Well fuse was fine fuse box on the other hand, well someone screwed the A pillar gauges through the targa drain, inside the fuse box some of the metal strip things were a bit worse for wear, so changed the fuse box for the one out of my blue one, patched the hole in the targa drain for now, will replace that when I can find the other end, sorted out the odd idle (temp sensor connector) so will need to get a new one of them, just resetting the ecu as now have massive overfueling, hell it looked more like a diesel when revving it, oh and found out I have a jwt ecu  :) though that might need remapping if this overfueling isn't sorted by a ecu reset, but I now have lights and working dash
  2. Yep checked that, aaah thanks lol one side light bulb is missing the connected so could be shortly there shall have alook
  3. It was more the "ha ha" at the end of the comment bud. Thanks Ian I shall have a ganders bud, though I have a feeling it might be due to someone's dodgy wiring of gauges, think I'll strip things back and have a closer look
  4. 2 very non helpful comments there, rebel I didn't want yours as I wanted to stick a body kit on which would of meant a respray. The one I have now already has a kit on it As for if it's a wiring issue, I'll just swap the wiring harnesses out of my blue zed if I have to, was asking if anyone had any problems the same that didn't involve doing that, the engine is strong and the body has no rust, these are the only issues apart from general tidying up, that need sorting so still not a bad purchase, plus gives me something to do
  5. Nope fuses all ok matey, I have break lights and indecators, I can flash full beam and I can put them on normally, but no dipped beam or side lights or tail lights, first thing I did was check fuses and relays.
  6. That's a promising start then, at least it has the injectors he said it has lol
  7. Went and picked up my new zed yesterday, mucho respect to Richard smith for that, and what a fantastic AMG he has, me wanty First off a question, did OEM injectors ever come in the color purple as thats what colour my injectors are. Right now thats out the way, 2 kinda major issues. I have no headlights, you turn the dial on, i get no dash lights and no head lights, no rear lights, but i have full beam only, so most likely dodgy wiring connection of some sort. Right i have a hunting idle, the car (i have to check first) is supposed to have 555 nismo injectors, z1 uprated ECU, it has racelogic traction control plumbed in and a HKS turbo timer and EBC that i will be swapping for my blitz and greddy ones respectively, now i know i really need to replace the ECU temp sensor connector as its well, fubar to be perfectly honest, and im sure the injector connectors are not that much better. Ill be changing my wiring loom over at some point today as the blue one has a almost (about 2 years old) wiring loom on. But this head light thing is something i really need to sort out. I think someone had the same issue with there head lights and turned out to be a bad wire in the side pod connection block. And dont ask for pictures yet, none are going up until ive sorted out a few things like changing my interior over and giving it a polish
  8. id hazard a guess at close too or around the 510 mark with those mods, depends what the map is and what boost you are running though, as you failed to mention the boost level
  9. £20 for the first year, then £10 each time you renew after that, doesnt matter if you take a year or even two years out from resubbing, once the first sub is down, you resub at the lower price, see the club subscription page for more info http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?41-Club-Membership-and-Enquiries
  10. hay ya bud, welcome to the forum, ive had to edit your post as only subscribed members are permitted to sell.
  11. that will most likely be why the battery hasnt gone dead while trying to start it then lol
  12. stupid question time, is it auto and if so is it in P or N lol, the amount of times ive moved the gear selector and then wondered why the hell the car wasnt starting, though i have to say, ive never managed to flatten a battery before noticing.
  13. Come on daz get some pictures up then lol
  14. that blue zed of mine thats just been written off, was clipped by a fiesta while it was on ramps out side my house even with a copper present and steams lol, reversed into by a focus out side my friends, even after the driver commented on it being a nice car, and then written off by a cmax who was most likely playing gears of war while driving. damn fords hated that car lol
  15. came across this by accident, but f me the made my self giggle my arse off for the past hour. any way, the best way of describing it to just up load some photos LOL you gotta pull funny faces though other wise it just doesnt work as good lol Anyway, me in a lambo when i met Arney and mr willis cage fighting and well, you know.
  16. odb2? is yours a later model car? thought the zed had a consults port up to around 96, unless my memory fades me. But on the ECU test, if you turn the little screw thing, fully clock wise then counter clock wise it should flash the codes on the power light (on uk spec cars its just a blank orange bit on the dash)
  17. ive got one, not sure on rating, hard to use living in a 1st floor flat, can never seem to get the spray any where near the zed so no risk of blasting the paint off it, ooh and to top it off, some fecker nicked the wheels off it
  18. 300zx's up to i think its year 1995 can still pass a MOT on a non cat test, even though the law states after to 1992, cars need cats, as they are not on the MOT data base, also make sure they put your car through as a 300zx and not a 350z as it will never pass even with CATs on it (had that before and so have others) i was lucky though as i spotted the error before he did the print out.
  19. they are normal welding tips, most go for the 0.8mm ones, that give around 14psi and you can pick them up from B&Q for a couple of quid, not bad for something so simple, plus its a always on power gain, just remember though, before upping the boost, sort out things like air filter, exhaust, its needs to breath properly, also a chipped ecu like a zedworld one to cope with the higher boost level correctly or you could end up killing your engine through wrong fueling map.
  20. Timing light isnt on the zed its a device you use to set the timing using the lower crank pulley mark. If the zed isn't cutting out when moving the cas left or right, put it back to where the marks are on the CAS that the 10mm bolts made and tighten them back up, CAS has been successfully ruled out.
  21. well when i first noticed the cutting out it was only under load when planting your foot, so changed the MAF, but it still did it, then it started doing it when cold, then when i checked the timing, and went to adjust the CAS thats when it would die, so first thought was check the CAS connection, but that was clean, so tried again with the timing and still it kept cutting out the moment i moved the CAS, i swapped the CAS over, and that was it no more cutting out.
  22. im not fussed about mileage, ive seen Volvo's with more miles than nasa's space shuttle has clocked up, its all down to decent maintenance
  23. do you have a timing light? reason i ask, ive had to change a CAS recently as the car kept cutting out, wasn't until i went to adjust the timing and tapped the cas to get it to move, that the car kept cutting out again, so changed the CAS and problem solved. you say you have checked the CAS, but how? just checking the connections on this faulty one didn't do anything, everything was clean as a whistle, but the CAS was still faulty. Might be worth, undoing the 10mm nuts and just rotating it see if you can get the car to cut out, if thats not the issue, the timing light will come in handy to get it back to the correct timing. Might not be your issue, but at least its something to think about.
