  1. i think a lot of yanks are blinded as to what romney will bring
  2. I see no one wants obama to get a second term
  3. vs a electrical pole? dunno, think it would of faired a bit better than the zed.
  4. Bout 0 mins as had it already in my photos folder lol
  5. Those are priced for a quick sale at £350, i know ive been in the market for 3 engines so far, only those wishing for a quick sale or to just get the room back or they know the engine might need a rebuild sell for less than 500 mate. been like that since ive been here. You are also basing your argument on them knowing the VG30DETT and what standard and wiseco pistons look like, if he had asked "does it have forged internals" and there answer was yes, then they would be correct, the TT does have forged internals, they are just OEM forged internals. W'co pistions have the name on the side and a stamped serial number on the top. unless they took the pistions out, if they didnt have a clue what to look for between the two then i highly doubt they would be able to give an accurate analasis, im sure i could ring a number of engeering firms around here, and although they might be good at engeering i doubt they would be able to tell the difference between OEM VG30DETT pistions and uprated ones with out doing some form of research. I have asked if you can provide a link to the Engine advert so we can get to the bottom of this and if he openly said it had the parts on the forum and misled you into the sale, because if this deal has happened outside of the club there really isn't much we can do to help. I'm just trying to ascertain as to if we do have grounds to act or not.
  6. Apparently the kid who was driving the zed survived. (US though so this is the passenger side) More image on the link below. http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2380514
  7. Not to put you on a downer here mate, i know it must be hard feeling like you have been screwed over on something but. you pay £650 for a longblock engine with supposed forged internal? thats only £100 off what a long block in working condition is worth, didn't that strike you as the deal of the century? Also why would a local engineering shop know anything about a VG30DETT, so may be they did do the work but they hadn't a clue about it. I think the best course of action would be to contact the seller first. is there a link to the forum advert with the engine details in? if there is can you PM me the link please.
  8. Too true, we have seen those horror stories quite a lot in regards to a certain ex garage.
  9. ECU temp sensor is the 2 pin plug on the top water pipe, also might be an idea to check intake pipes for splits / leaks as this can also induce over fueling as there is unmetered air entering the system
  10. :( Shame i have a blue zed here with all the ECU's you could ever want and the internal wiring.
  11. what was it with that wood effect? eewww.
  12. not by choice i know that
  13. Because zed prices are rock bottom in the UK compared to everywhere else lol

  15. well there is 2 screws either end holding it in place, there is a metal runner behind it, but best to leave that in place, the two ends pull out side ways, the rest you can just pull on to free from the metal runner, tomorrow im going to see if stretching it slightly then screwing it back down will seal the gap, i think you can do that as the OEM screw location hole in the rubber, is quite long compared to the screw head that tightens down onto it, so my theory is you can adjust it lol Ill let you know the out come when i have a bit of time and daylight to attempt it lol
  16. Right changed them around, the passenger side looks like its now sealing correctly but the drivers side still looks like it doesnt fit :( Seems to be a MASSIVE gap at the rear and the front doest fit much better either, infact i can now see into the cabin through a tiny hole where the rubbers dont even meet any more. You can see the gap when the door is closed through the window lol damn it.
  17. going to go down and see if i can reverse them quickly before it pisses it down again lol i see what you mean though, does look backwards
  18. which ones? the door rubbers only go on one way, or are you on about the targa's? upon further inspection, i see what you mean, but why doesnt my blue zeds targa's go on and "seal"? they are on the blue car correctly and do not leak and when i place them on the black zed, i still have the same massive gaps.
  19. Not sure what you can do about that bud, apart from remove the barrel at some point.
  20. do you have breakdown cover? they should be able to come out and get the barrel cleaned up and started so you can move it. I wouldnt bother "hotwiring" it as it will give you more work to do later when repairing it. there are a few breakers on the forum, im sure someone will have a key and barrel they are willing to sell you.
  21. we have a aussy spy lol :shifty:
  22. if i put my black targa on the blue zed, it seals nice and tight, with no visible gaps between joins, so its not the targa rubber, its the door rubbers that do not seem to meet the targa rubbers, but whats annoying, ive measured the open gap between A pillar and rear of the car door rubber on both cars and the gap is the same distance, yet the rubbers are in the correct places? so im miffed as to why the door rubbers are producing a gap?
  23. Well, its had new door rubbers and targa rubbers fitted, but where the targa meets the drivers side A pillar, it doesnt look like its forming a seal correct, well i know it isn't as at the moment i have a pan collecting water inside the car. Ive checked the rear door runner that pulls the window into the rubber, the 10mm nut was missing, so i replaced that and all was good for a while, but we have had torrential down pours for the past 24 hours and its leaking badly again. anyway ive also tried the match stick under the rubber trick but still no luck. any idea's? as id rather the car didn't eat its self alive from inside to out. The arrowed flap, seems too loose, so the water isn't being directed down the inside of the rubber, its finding its way down between the targa rubber and the door rubber and into the cabin as you can see from the rear rubber, it doesnt seem to fit correctly, ive checked on my blue car and this is all squashed together, where as here you can clearly see a large gap between the rubbers as if the taiga rubber is too short? ive tested my blue targa panel that didn't leak in these areas, and that too is the same, it looks as though the targa rubber is too short, yet its not as it works fine on my blue zed? this is the join on the front where the targa meets the A pillar
