  1. http://www.firstlightoptics.com/clearance/hubble-cassegrain-reflector-telescope.html Quality, love the customer reviews.
  2. I actually like it, completely different to the usual and i agree the contrast works well with the polished plenum
  3. I dont like it mate, you really need to replace that rug it doesnt go with the orange on the engine.
  4. Love the 21st of December one, anyone with a half ounce of knowledge will know its fake. First up myth The planets all align on the 21st of December. Actually any planisphere will show the planets will not align on the 21st of December, must to the disappointment of the astronomical community, as getting a picture of the planets aligning would be an awesome event. Second myth The earth is passing through the galactic plain This is also a myth, we are currently a good 21k light years above the galactic plane (or below it depending how you want to rotate the galaxy) The third myth The Mayan calendar runs out. Actually it doesnt, Mayans built calendars in 400 year cycles, the calender in question actually carries on way past its supposed "end" date. Also, the Mayan calendar didn't account for leap years, so the earth actually ended back in October.
  5. Point 2 might drip due to point one, id eliminate point 1 as point 2 would need a new injector rail if that area is leaking (highly unlikely though)
  6. It might look all crammed in, but i give them one thing, they made everything pretty much easy to reach, there are only a few area's of struggle in that engine bay, other wise everthing is pretty much where you can get to it.
  7. Strange, i would of asked him to get his decibel reader out, considering bass is low frequency i doubt it would of moved much. cant do you for bass im afraid, even council houses where base is played, its not very audible to there decibel monitors so cant do diddly squat about it. I had a copper like that recently, tried saying i had committed a traffic offence for driving into a car park via the exit, until i pointed out to him that it was private land. he still took my details though, but couldnt do anything about it. young lad though so had a power trip.
  8. easy mate, have you wedged the throttle linkage open? that is very important, you need the clips either already on the metal pipes or even better, already on the hose, tighten them just enough to stop them moving about with the screws facing up, put the hose onto the pipes, the undo one clip at a time and move it into position, then start tightening it up.
  9. Its a good exhaust mate, sounds nice as well, if its just the single exit, then you will need the associated pipe work to turn your system from a duel exit to a single, or source another one and mount it on the other side of the car.
  10. This advice although sound on a new bit of hose, can create a bigger leak on an older bit due to clip cutting into the harder hose and creating a larger hole. as what had happened on artztogos when i checked his fuel leak. the clip had been tighted that much to stop the leak it had actually created a new one by splitting the hose in half. So its advisable to actually replace the hose and clips.
  11. "as long as i can read it" is what ive got back from almost every copper ive spoken too about my plate lol, not the stick on one, but the small tiny one.
  12. It is the correct font matey. its the correct size as well. Although im not sure about the W, i think thats the one that looks odd. Anyway http://www.premier-number-plates.co.uk/road-legal-number-plates.php
  13. Oh ok here ya go, cars a bit iced over lol and its foggy.
  14. Its more legal than my last plate that was half the size and mounted in the windscreen lol. i doubt they will moan, as from a distance it looks like a plastic hard one, its still reflective and thats there main issue with stick on ones.
  15. Bloody number plates, commissioned mark Darby to get me a sticker number plate made up by his sign guy, its now on the front of my motor, so no longer have the stealth look :( Why we need a front mounting number plate is beyond me, but there ya go (i do know some reasons, but they make the cars look horrible) Oh and a big thank you to mark for sorting it out, full size, reflective but as a sticker.
  16. Didn't you read it properly? the rust has been sorted out with just a few rust bubbles remaining, a small hesitation issue that clears from cold is fixable, most likely something simple as well, paint work ok is faded but might just need a good deep polish / t-cut. a stiff gear on the manual box isnt all that uncommon and can be as simple as changing the oil as most people forget about gearbox oil changes. Id hardly write the car off for that.
  17. think he did, i remembered seeing something along those lines, when i was doing mine, didn't have a craft knife to hand and i was buggered if i was going to pack all me tools away to go rummage around the house for one, so ended up using a flat head screw driver lol. P easy job once you know how.
  18. You can do the hose between the throttle linkage with out removing the plenum, you can basically hack the old pipe out with a flat bladed long screw driver, the new hose cut to size, use something to wedge open the throttle linkage, then (as znut says) dip in boiling water, and using long nose pliers, slide it on passenger side first, then drivers side (with clips already on the pipe lol) It will only go on one way easily, i found out the hard way trying to bend the damn hose once it started going cold, but if you struggle to get it on, then take it back off and do it the other way round. it isn't as bad as it seems, the biggest issue i faced doing that, was getting the old hose off, and not figuring out that it goes on easy one way, but if you put it on the wrong side first, it takes bloody loads of faffing about. But im pretty sure if my memory serves me correctly when i did it, its passenger side first, then drivers side. I mentioned using long nose pliers, as this would definitely make the job easier, but i did it with out, using just me pinky's
  19. Your biggest enemy on that car is the faded paint as its going to cost someone a lot more than a rebuff if it doesnt come out via a good polish - T-cut. Id say 2.3k is a reasonable price to ask in its current state, restore it and have a nice manual zed to drive about in.
  20. Mate i got no problems with you finding out how much your car is worth (even though you could check ebay / piston heads / auto trader and compare) but you are not allowed to sell on the forum unless you are a subscribed member.
  21. You would take your fingers off doing mine that way lol
  22. Not sure about you, but i lack a fundamental tool for that, a 2 / 4 poster, and i wouldn't trust my car up on Axel stands with it being in gear and the rear wheels spinning.
  23. R.I.P Sir Patrick legend Moore, the one person who got me really interested in looking up. I dedicate my latest photo of the moon to him.
  24. well 3 years ago today i posted this picture. My little boy was born. been a while since then, going through a lot of struggle with getting full residency, which i finally got awarded in april of this year, though court is still an ongoing thing, with visiting rights and what not. Over the past 2 years, ive gone through hell and back for my kids, even having them snatched off the street by their mother out of my mrs arms, had a lot of learning to do with my little boys health problems as well, which are now a lot better. but its all been worth it. and if i had too id do it all again for them i most certainly would. Anyway, he turned 3 today, and my god has he grown up, doesnt seem like 3 years, they have gone so quick. Anyway here he is 3 years later, looking more like a proper little boy lol
  25. damn thats quick, wonder if it will be quicker to use their postal service from UK to UK
