  1. Right bit of a change this year, as i'm not fully sure on what zclub is doing, they are currently in the process of voting for the events. But we have a few this year people will be aware of from last year, both japshows at Santa pod, trax at silver stone (though with its proximity to JAE, im not sure how viable that one will be) and also obviously JAE, We could add more to the calendar, like modified nationals, classic car shows and what not, if we have the numbers. But i was thinking of adding something for the start of the year as well, there is the annual fast show at santa pod in march, which we could attend as well, i was hoping to get a better calender together but im sure things will pop up during the year we can arrange. Seems a lot of the events that we can say a definite yes too are held at santapod, if you have other events you would like listed, PM me so we can discuss it and see what numbers we can get. So. Event - Fastshow Venue - Santapod. Dates - Saturday 16th of march (RWYB) Sunday 17th of march (Main event) Website for more information http://www.thefastshow.com/index.htm Quick run down. The season-opening show for all performance and modified car enthusiasts with RWYB, Show n Shine, stunt shows, traders, car clubs and Pod Palais heated nightclub on Saturday night Event - Japshow Venue - Santapod Dates - Saturday 29th of June (RWYB) Sunday 30th of June (Main event) Website for more information http://www.japshow.co.uk/index.html Quick run down. The first major event for Japanese car fans with RWYB competition, Jap Drag Series, club displays, drifting, drag demos, Show n Shine and more. Event - Trax Venue - Silver stone Dates - 8th of September Website for more information http://www.traxshows.co.uk/ Quick run down. Massive carshow held at the world famous Silver stone GP circuit, track time available, club stands, show n shine and more. Event - JAE Venue - Wicksteed park kettering Dates - 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th of September. Website for more information http://www.japcarclub.com/ Quick run down. Hell if you dont know what this is about, best come along and find out. Event - Japshow final Venue - Santapod Dates - 29th to 30th of September See above for details. Now September is looking rather busy for car shows, ill try to be at all, but not sure i will be able to pull it off. Trax, JAE and Japshow final are all held this year in September, with the first one being trax on the 8th of September followed the next week by JAE on the 12 to the 15, then at the end of the month we have Japshow final on the 29 -30th. which might be a bit much, but consider this ample warning to get saving. JAE is the only event in September being ran mid week till end of week. I was thinking of adding Ultimate street car in August but considering how busy September is, i think it might be wise to gauge interest first. if there are any more shows you would like me to consider, please do not hesitate to contact me via PM, especially those in the far north of the country, if there are any shows up that way you would like adding please let me know.
  2. does it fluctuate a lot or just the once?
  3. same, ive resealed as per Jeffs thread, i think next up is brand spanking new rubbers when the weather finally lets up and goes back to some sort of normality, at present i just use a bin bag arranged on my drivers and passenger seats to collect the water so as not to drench the carpet, mine too is leaking at the front targa securing point, the rubber is saturated, and its coming down near both sides of the hard plastic that the targa locking pin goes through. Talc trick will not work if his leak is the same as mine as per his description as the whole area is soaking wet. we need some serious hot weather to dry it all out.
  4. JAE has changed dates so far, as trax fell on the same date, so JAE has moved it, ill me getting all the info up with in the next 2 weeks of the club calender including all the info for JAE. As for camping, we try to camp behind the cars, near the marquee, helps keep an eye on things.
  5. i cant fault the workmanship thats gone into that, and certainly does look nice, but i bet it doesnt go as well as a modified zed, looks like way to much weight on it now. and agree, certainly needs different wheels on it. my only real gripe would be, change the steering wheel, that stock one just looks odd in the cabin.
  6. i get mine  it comes 1 week before subs run out, sometimes ive found it in my inbox, others in my junk, but it has arrived.
  7. I think the word banter is getting confused with hate here, which is a very strong word to label someone with. I'm yet to find someone who truly "hates" another zed due to its seating configuration. we have a bit a banter true, doesnt everyone, i love my LWB, means i can get 3 women in instead of just the one, but there is no way id say no to a 2 seater if i didn't need a 4 seater due to the kids, now when it comes to body kits, stick on stuff and personalisation on the other hand, we have people who disagree, but no one who "Hates" as per other places. Oh and welcome to the club kurt,
  8. yes and driving the zed in it too lol
  9. i do not understand this inherent hatred for snow? i love the stuff, and personally this country has become weak when faced with it, when i was growing up we had proper snow, a good 3 to 4 feet's worth (ok i was raised in Germany) but i never once see all this moaning about it, didn't see the gritters, they used snow plows (although with the amount of speed humps we have here, its no wonder we have to use gritters) and i still went school, even had to help clear the school drive way so the teachers could get in the car park. Here we get a few flakes and everyone is ready to shut up shop, bunker down until it melts. anyway, here is a very good inspirational image. if snow this thick doesnt stop these, why should snow 1 inch high bring us to our knees? i just dont get it.
  10. matey, would love to know where you heard that from, i know a few people who want to return to work but cant due to child care costs. the most i can find out about it is this. https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-early-education thats all well and good if your children are of that age, but before that you are basically screwed. the only help it is on about there, is for further education if im reading that right lol
  11. as far as i know, child care isn't something the jobless can claim for, i know they where thinking about giving free child care to those wishing to return to work, but it never took off due to the costs involved. though child care in this country has bloody ridiculous fee's, think it was around £187 per child per week on average last time i checked
  12. Just got release, cheers jane  they said i had too many bikini's
  13. PS jane, wrong link lol u6CXMwuPbYM god that bird at 0.45 is hot lol
  14. 300zx.co.uk will be booked in at japshow that weekend matey
  15. only you can tell, but i must remind you, you need to be a subscribed member on here to sell. Personally 550 isnt that much, id get a engine in it, especially if its not rusty
  16. when i first did my auto to manual conversion on my blue zed, i didn't plumb in the vac line to the clutch booster to start with. as much as you can drive the car without it, id recommend if you have a clutch booster, to use it. the difference is very very noticeable and makes driving much less painful, especially when sitting at traffic lights with the clutch pedal pressed. I had a RPS street max clutch.
  17. Oh and i have a manual conversion kit (TT box)
  18. You can go from N/A Auto to TT manual with out the need to change anything if the kit comes with the correct items, TT fly, TT clutch, TT gearbox, TT rear prop, the starter motors are the same.
  19. bottom line plumbed into, top line (straight of the maf pipe) bunged.
  20. im actually loving this tread, having had many a conversation with my American z owning friends. ive always had an open mind as to the actual potential of our engines. I think the biggest issue with UK cars is they are cheap to buy, usually have minimal mods to increase the power, but people skimp on the maintenance as they do not realise the running costs involved, they then drive them into ground and sell them either smoking, rusted to hell or have major work that needs doing to them, decent zeds are actually hard to come by in the UK. they then get a bad reputation of being unreliable and not very strong engines when its actually down to how they have been treated. As i said, ive seen Noz's car at pod, ive had a good nose about, it is indeed stock. But boy is it quick, ive seen his engine map, not that i understood it, but he was mapping on the stand and taking it down the strip at pod, i have to say im following this with interest and its nice to know what and how or even when noz will actually (if) blow his engine. I also asked my my GT525 turbos, as it would be handy to know if i can indeed give them more boost. though at the moment i need to change the clutch as its started to slip when boost hits - oops.
  21. im running GT525 turbos @18psi, giving me 424.6bhp and 449ftlb of torge, the dyno guys said its been dialed back as the dyno sheet i have from 2009 shows it @ 457.3bhp, im running slightly rich on the topend. am i to believe that my turbos are not rated to the 500bhp that Z1 says they can produce? and how do i get 500bhp with out upping the boost? GT525 turbos, come in 2 A/R ratios, one is .54 the other is .63 Anyway, take a look at Z1's claims, im sure they wouldn't claim something on there own for sale thread without someone picking up on it. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=92 ive also had a few people on the Zpeople facebook page, state they are running stock at 21psi and have done so for a while. I have also seen NOZ's zed at santa pod with his laptop on the passenger seat, ive had a good nose around his engine bay as he said it was stock, and ive seen him running the times he has stated.
  22. tell me about it, feels strange owning a zed im not constantly fixing lol
  23. i think the lad above has the better design lol. that 380z looks too much like that new toyota. BBS, damn it, going to need a mortgage for them aint I? lol
  24. Loving this modern take on the 240z now if only nissan would actually contact this guy and build it. only gripe i have, is the head lights and front grill but thats a rather small gripe to be honest. looks epic though More pics here Would love those alloys for my 300 though lol http://www.productdesignforums.com/topic/8439-datsun-240z-concept/
