  1. lol great minds and all that matey :D
  2. i hate bar, but anyway 13psi isnt too bad. Whats the complete set up you are running? do you have dump valves and are they set up correctly? could be leaking boost if they are opening too soon due to pressure build up. Could also be the waist gates opening and not letting you build boost.

  4. You would think that but does happen as the plenum has pooling area's for the oil. i had the same once id changed engine and turbos over, luckily i took the time to check the intercooler pipe work, had i not, im sure i would of thought the turbos were at it again lol

  6. PCV valves? i get smoke if i give it hard acceleration but only after and im sat still, soon clears on a blip of the throttle, definitely not turbo related as it doesnt do it on normal driving conditions, you would know if it was piston rings and a easy way to check that would be to see if your dipstick is still in its pipe correctly after a good welly. pressure build up in the crank from leaky piston rings would pop that out. Im leaning more to PCV valves as smokey turbos will gunk them up quite good. you may also still have residual oil in the plenum that only presents its self once its been pushed towards the back of the engine under hard acceleration. You will be suprised with the amount of oil vapor that gets everywhere when turbo seals are on the way out. Here is a video of my blue zeds intercooler pipes and the oil that came out of just one side due to turbo seal failure. Click image. Check the lowest point on your intercoolers.

  8. i think i have a nismo thermostat in mine, temps never reach above 73 and with these cold days we have had, when driving into the cold air, the temps drop to 71, if i take it for a rip it can hit 75 but thats about it? not used to that lol I currently do not have a fan shroud on my car, but will agree with jeff, they are better to have and fitted than not.
  9. Not on the main engine loom lol, O2 sensor is the same as coil pack lol, not all are different, but you have to look carefully, wires on the coilpack are thicker. O2 sensor is also the same as the little boost box and also the cruise control, but is on a different loom. As the loom in question isnt the main loom, id say A. Break master cylinder connector, B plugs into the connector for the Positive battery cable, C is cruise control or boost sensor, D ??? not sure but looks like that goes into the cabin into one of the pods on the dash? how long is the wire on that loom? or D may even plug into the small fuse box? havent removed that yet so do not know how its wired into the car lol That is all on the one loom yeah?
  10. meh, lost both my gifs, cant be arsed to sort out a sig. Gifs dont resize because its a series of small images stacked to repeat.
  11. here we go again, its all about size with you lot lol
  12. yes mate, last owner is showing as from Glasgow ill PM you the owners name.
  13. Not at all, might be why my search hasnt brought anything up lol
  14. Was trying to get photos from what it looked like when i first got it. pretty distinct as it has the vailside EC1 kit.
  15. A private car sales man down in high wycombe Tried that, but doing a search for Vailside when everyone has discussed it at some point brings up all sorts of results, ive also done a search for z1 intercoolers, 555, nismo555, JWT (which brings up 0 results?) and pretty much all mods on my car, hence my post. Only the last owner which is some guy in Glasgow.
  16. on my current zed, as i have no real history, would love to know who owned it at some point and the search function isnt really being helpful as im not sure what to search for? I know it was defiantly on the forum or owned by someone who had subscribed (or maybe they just got the sticker) as there is a faint outline where 300zx.co.uk can been seen under the rear window washer jet. Would just really love to read some old posts about it.
  17. A few things can cause your car to over heat. thermostat failing and not opening enough, this will not allow the correct amount of water through Block radiator Air leak on one of the water pipes (wouldnt be big enough to cause a leak, just suck air into the system creating a airlock) Failed water pump. also get a block tester make sure the last owner didnt blow the HG, he may not have blown it so its noticeable, but just enough to cause exhaust gases to enter the coolant. My first port of call would be a block tester from ebay, get the car upto temp and check to see if the water changes, also as they are so cheap, replace the two water temp sensors on the top water pipe, make sure your sensor isnt fubared, could be reading the temp wrong.
  18. Just read that, didnt know the alternator was a weak point? other wise nice article.
  19. ive got 275/30/19's on the rear and lowered, got no rubbing here, whats your offset, it could be that, as i have 10j at the rear of mine, but only a +35 offset. Smithy i have kyb shocks with eibach springs on my blue zed and its standard ride height with the above wheels on, i never got rubbing?. so i would imaging its down to what shocks he has. they may actually be too much spring rate on them.
  20. gotta do the clutch on my zed yet, still need to relieve my blue zed of the clutch and fly wheel for the transplant lol.
  21. agree, certainly does need a set of smoothed in side skirts to finish it off.
  22. have to say, i actually love it, even with that nose on it. just looks a bit of a beast right there and different to the usual ones.
  23. My God im in love.
