  1. Sorry should of been more specific, i need to know about the convertible rear reversing light, If so can you check if the rear reverse light cluster, is just the center light with a reflector around the out side, or is that illuminated as well.

Saint and grieves http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_and_Greavsie Me and my mates have been all dragged out of a car at 1:30 in the morning because when the copper asked us our names and i said Ian st john, he thought i was taking the piss and used it as an excuse to search the car.

  8. you lay the passenger seat back, lay in that with a blanket over you, with that seat back they wont even see you in the dark unless they are peering through the window's, at least you will know who the fooker is then. Are you sure you are not being targeted by someone local? doubt its because of the specific car, but might be to do with where its parked, though slashing your tyres is a bit non productive if they want you to move it.
  9. id clean the car up and sleep in the fooker till i caught the little scotes at it.
  10. Its a chemical anything can be added / removed to take away the toxicity levels when it is being made. Id say its most likely Propylene glycol not Ethylene glycol, there is a big difference to the toxicity levels upon ingestion between the two, Ethylene breaks down into dangerous acids (glycolic acid and oxalic acid) that the body can not deal with and is highly toxic. Where as propylene glycol breaks down in to what the body naturally produces (pyruvic acid, acetic acid, lactic acid with propionaldehyde being the one that is potentially dangerous) though you would need to ingest a very large quantity of propylene glycol to be "poisoned" by it. Not that id recommend drinking it, but Propylene glycol is much safer not only for humans, but for the environment than ethylene glycol, and both can be used in the cooling systems of motor vehicles. Oh and the reason car manufacturers do not make vehicles that utilise it, its because it actually needs a higher flow rate to be effective in cooling compared to its water / coolent counter part, and in some cases can actually make things hotter rather than cooler.
  11. Dont shoot me down on this as the info comes from the US and we all know about there BHP talk, but been told that the VG30DETT in stock form can handle up to 600bhp as long as its well maintained. and that is the key, it needs to be well maintained. The one upgrade they say to do if going down that route though would be to change the big end bearings for race spec ones as the OEM ones are the weak point in the engine, and seeing people throw con rods due to engine knock id have to agree. Obviously a decent map as well. How reliable this information is i dont know.
  12. I have a 99spec sitting on my balcony, i also agree with what terry said about it, from some angles it looks great others (rear shot) it doesnt look too good even though i know the reason it doesnt look like it fits. If you want to be different and stay with a OEM nissan spoiler, you can always fit the one of the R34 GTR (yes yes back to my all time favourite zed)
  13. The blue one had a HKS cone filter the same size as an Apexi, it fitted just about, the intercooler leans forward at the top and sits back at the rear. oh and its forsale.
  14. Not a plate but there was a van i was following the other day with a sticker on the back that just said "Tw*t on board" lol
  15. never seen it, and glad i hadnt, that is eewww
  16. er.....you should of popped around mine to see the blue one before i took the FMIC off considering i only live a stones throw from you lol
  17. There are more cars than whats in that field if you read it correctly, there are more stored in a warehouse.
  18. thats simple, swap with me lol
  19. Well are you mobile? i need my 19's refurbed lol
  20. Leave the screws, they are the end caps for the injectors, on the plastic connector that connects to the injector, there is a U shaped metal clip (pin) you need a precision flat head screw driver to push the ends down, this is usually where the connector tends to snap and break if its too old, once you have pushed both sides, you should see the end of the clip facing towards the middle of the engine, its at this point you take a magnatised flat head and remove the rest of the clip, put it some where safe and then carry on with the rest, have some stickers handy to label the injectors 1 to 6 so you know what one goes on where. Give the male pins on the injector side a good clean with either a bit of sand paper, or a woman's nail file, or something else rough that can get in there, no doubt you will find loads of oxidiastion when doing (normal for a 20 year old engine) cant remember if ive already done that on that car, having 3 zeds gets a bit confusing as to whats been done on what one. Anyway, get some connector grease in there as well once cleaned up to help prevent it doing it again, before putting the connector back onto the injector, refit the securing clip (little metal U shaped bit) then reconnect to the injector. As for the S2 ptu, would depend if someone sells one with a fitting harness, or they just supply it with the connectors with wires coming out the end that you then have to solder into the exsisting loom.
  21. yes thats a S1, i tried changing it for a know working one, but it refused to start then, your best option would be going for a S2 ptu, and yes to the second picture thats a fuel injector, make sure you have a magnetic long flat head to get the little securing pin off as 9 out of 10 times it will fall on the engine in a location that is not accessible unless the plenum is removed.
