  1. get some 2k lacquer from ebay, much better than the 1k stuff they do in halfrauds.
  2. looks fantastic that :)
  3. eh? door cards easy mate, just need to know where all the screws and bolts are hidden, ooh and to remember to do it with the window half down.
  4. If you pay for a weekend ticket you can come park on the club stand, other wise you will be directed to park in the public car park out side the event and have to walk in, you will also have to leave the site before night fall. Daz the marquee is already set up, me and groover will be fighting with the gazebo on the Thursday for set up. and hopefully it wont bloody rain.
  5. MJP does sills and inner sills for around £180 per side, where on earth did you get yours from, and his are genuine. But yes its fix able and any competent welder will be able to sort that out, nothing wrong with getting the floor pan done if done correctly, very savable, but the side skirt will have to be removed. I know of a few restoration jobs that have had to basically fabricate the whole underside of the car to restore a classic, as said if done properly nothing to it, the metal will be just as strong as when it rolled out of the factory. But as bri already said, it would be more dependant on whether its financially viable.
  6. well thats not exactly handy for those who haven't :winkiss:
  7. the one at the back in the middle is for the DET sensor, that would be code 34 matey lol The sensor connector your looking for will be mounted just above the boost solenoids if they haven't been moved and come up from the O2 sensor on the turbo elbow, if indeed he has a turbo. will be more or less the same location for the N/A as long as it comes from the 02 sensor on the manifold.
  8. take the plastic triangle off from inside the car, there are 3 x 10mm bolts inside, once removed, make sure your holding onto the mirror and then unclip it from inside the car and feed the wire out through the hole simples. Helps to remove the door card lol
  9. apart from the fact its parked on park street, opposite woods mews W1k London lol (the road name in the back)
  10. i own a 300zx, i know mine isnt very big lol got to compensate some how
  11. how do we know he hasnt moved the engine to the boot? or even installed a second engine  that would be some zed with 2 engines in it :D
  12. there ok cars, have a tendency for the service light to come on when it chooses, ill get hold of me mate who works at BMW and get him to give me a run down on what too look out for when buying a second hand one. Oh and it might be a good idea to avoid one with this bonnet on it
  13. was going to say there was a serious air leak into the lower plenum, by the looks of some of the marks where the gasket should of sat, looks like they replaced the plenum but not the gasket causing an air leak, they then thought that by adjusting the cas unit it was the timing out?
  14. +1 you just have to see "the other site" to know that a chat box kills the forum, amongst other things  we have a live chat room, tried it a few times and had quite a laugh, but ultimately, nothing you can not say in here anyway
  15. best after market front for the zed by miles, ill be getting one next year for mine, and i cant wait. as for the mirrors, if you are keeping it, stick um on, if selling, leave them off
  16. Chris's is fantastic and sits well, i find it just right, ask him to have a look at JAE if your going.
  17. will do that after JAE, cars running quite good at the moment, all cylinders firing, smooth idle, holding its temp. Bit sluggish though like the turbos aren't kicking in, though could be due to the Auto box on manual turbos. so not sure, considering it doesnt bloody change gear like its supposed to.
  18. Artztogo has, well its a bigger clip on one that goes over the OEM mirror, makes a substantial difference to what you can see out the rear window. I always feel im trying to see through a letter box when looking in the OEM one.
  19. its supposed to be 10litres for the coolant system, but yeah im finding im still topping it up, yet no wet spots under the car. so must still have air in the system some where, i do get hot air in the cabin when i put the temp up through the system, and i had the front raised when putting the coolant in to start with. I do have a strange bearing noise from the water pump area, im just wondering if my thermos is opening or not when it comes up to temp.
  20. engines not running hot, gauges and consults are both showing engine temp at 87 degrees.
  21. seem to have a airlock on my drivers side turbo bypass water pipe, when the cars up to temp and you switch the ignition off, you can hear it bubbling any ideas how to get it cleared. i cant take the pipe off and fill with water as all it does is leak out of the pipe it connects too.
  22. ford + escort = not my cup of tea, but glad your happy with it.
  23. Autobahn is the one i have fitted as well, looks very sturdy build from what i can tell. though my pipes are suffering from over spray from the cars color change.
