  1. Tbh although the fat missed the little cup considering the amount of burgers cooked there was very little that landed on the floor, think the sausages were the main culprit
  2. It was mentioned about putting a list up of what people had to sell so people didn't have to ask, only problem is, would people really want to bring loads of parts along when they are already packed out with camping gear, that would be up to the individual though. Id rather not segregate people into regional groups, Next year might be an idea for us to ware 300zx.co.uk shirts with our forum names on, this would make it easier for people to know who was who, so if a member wanted to talk to a REO at least they don't have to ask 20 people before finding out whos is there local rep lol I shall have a word with jeff about that and see what he thinks.
  3. Right having spoken to a lot of you at JAE and heard the obvious concerns in relation to what other clubs had to offer, plus going around and seeing other club stands. I think for next year ill be concentrating on getting a bit of entertainment going on. I have a projector so thats not a problem, and also we have sound. but what i was thinking along the lines off was something a bit special. My friend who i DJ with runs his own DJing business and gets hired out for all sorts of events. and if we can get the correct generator that doesnt induce spikes into the system id like to see about hiring him out on the saturday night. (though if i paid for his ticket im sure he might even do it for free or extremely discounted) Would also like to throw out there group activities for us as well, like 5 aside football with a soft ball for obvious reasons, or even soft cricket lol especially if we have the same location next year that im hoping we can get, tug-o-war and on the friday night to encourage more people to get there on the friday and spend the weeekend, possible a few drinking games movie night, or something else. hell we could even do the 3 legged race once drunk!, or even egg and spoon race / sack race anything like that. So get your ideas down, as i said all will be looked at, some might be used, other might not be so don't be offended if your idea isn't used. it just might not be suitable at the event. Even going to see about getting some of the JAE staff involved as well, show them that the 300zx.co.uk club isn't just about sitting in a marque talking about how shiny our polished gear knobs are lol
  4. mine wasn't that bad to be honest, when i did the timing i did ring jeff to see if the gearbox problem would have an effect. When jeff redid it, there seemed to be extra marks and no one was sure where the correct mark was, but the lads got there in the end. Always a pleasure meeting jeff and jamie and having a chin wag. i know the reason my base idle was low, its because i didn't change it lol.
  5. im going to give it a good clean this week anyway as it needs it after JAE, cant seem to move it with out getting covered in grease at the moment, that little cup under it thats supposed to collect fat although half full didn't really catch that much lol still a fantastic weekend though. think next year will get some kebabs to go on it, the proper ones not the crap you get from a takeaway.
  6. that might be correct, but the BBQ wasn't a Deep fat fryer :P Anyway with the size of fire extinguishers available if anything had gone up in flames the only thing they would stand a chance of putting out is a small fire.
  7. next year im going to be doing the voting and awards on the Saturday when we seem to have the biggest turn out. This year we were waiting for people to get back so they didn't miss out.
  8. Chris (ck300z) has the paper work for that if he remembered to keep it, other wise I'll still a post up later for it
  9. hes making some quarter panel window blinds like ive got, but they say NISSAN instead of 300zx ?
  10. Check the fuse box first, even if you think there shouldn't be a fuse for it, check anyway. A Gas BBQ can be self cleaning if groover is cooking That having a 2+2 with targas off, is excellent for looking at stars and watching fire works That pablito has a strange habit of getting people who haven't drank in ages, drunk! Mr Isherwood loves his stillen lip a bit too much  200 burgers is not enough 200 sausages is too much That 30 other people who didn't turn up on the Thursday when me and groover were discussing having the cars arranged in a horse shoe shape, really can read minds  (we didnt say how to park they just did what me and groover had already planed the night before lol) we need a freeze and fridge we need some entertainment That chasing a airleak with some talcum powder in an engine bay really does make for a good laugh :) The sound of a generator makes my little boy sleep through a nuclear blast The toilet lights dont stay on that long and you cant wave them on from the comfort of a toilet seat.
  11. ill change the car next time it happens. daz if a fuse blows in my house, im getting a new house. But as i said, my saving grace was the engine did indeed need changing thank god, so the box had to come off to start with anyway. Had i only changed the gearbox to find this out, id of been very p#eed off lol Guess ill be changing my wiring harness and body kit to fix the fact i have no intermittent windscreen wiper option any more as well.
  12. id love to of seen that advertised down the jobcentre like that back when i was looking for work, i can imaging the amount of people who would apply with just this comment. Think my mrs is looking for a change of career ill ask her and PM you matey
  13. first check the fuse (sorry had to put that lol) even if you think there isnt one, and even if there isnt one check it anyway..... But, first is the thermostat in the front of the engine might not be closing properly, but there is also a valve in side the heater matrix behind the dash, neither in too good a place to be honest. but as you will most likely need to empty the radiator to fix either one, you may as well do the water thermos first on the lower water pipe leading into the engine. if thats open when you take it out, problem solved, if its closed could well be the valve in the heater matrix. but check other areas first though before you start changing things that might not even need changing
  14. Your welcome, but i have to say it wouldn't of been half the stand it was with out the members who arrived, was nice to meet you all, I've got some good feedback from everyone, met some fantastic people, took some good photos and had a bloody brilliant time, my little lad and Mrs thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to extend her thanks for everyone making her feel welcome.
  15. mines blue, not me :tt2:
  16. my speedo reads 5mph slower than what the car is actually doing according to GPS so i have to be extra careful at speed cameras, profile is 30 fronts 35 rears, no 3rd gear as the gear box couldn't change from 2nd, groover was in the car when it went over 100 in second and it was still accelerating.
  17. don't forget best of show for show and shine as well. 3 awards in total from JAE. photos are uploading now, but taking a long time as there are a few hundred there.
  18. thats a lot better than my 74 miles to £60
  19. well, (and goover can attest to this) in my auto with standard ecu and 19" wheels, i can get about 120 in second. with no hope of changing gear when your ECU isn't talking to the transmission ecu to change gears lol
  20. redbull doesnt count mate, its ok i found the empty tins when tidying up lol
  21. I have the last person who pissed me off attached to my horse and cart...
  22. Considering im just 7 miles from JAE, and the weather in this part of the country is all over the place, ill wait till the days. forecasts sometimes get it wrong big time over here lol Seem to remember reports of 32 degrees heat with sunshine, only for it to be raining and only 17 degrees. then there was the time it was supposed to be over shadowed, and we were dug in with 5 inches of snow lol Ill post on the friday what its like :)
