regarding the boost controller , im a bit green . is one better than an other . how much is a decent 1 and what can i expect to pay to get it fitted and set up .

cheers funkysi my exhaust isnt standard . it still has the cats but is a power flo i think from there on back . with the filters is it a striaght old one off and new one on or will settings have to be tweeked to allow for the extra suction .

hi . im looking to add some extra horses to liven things up a bit . as far as i know my zed is standard . cat exhaust , stock air filter , dont think shes been chipped . not looking to build a monster but would like to get her up in the big 360-370 bhp range . any suggestions as to an order to change things to get best results . also maybe a guide to rough cost of mod parts and ease or difficulty of doing them . one final ask is by adding an extra 60 or 70 horses how will it affect things like reliability , drivability and economy of the car . cheers in advance for your suggestions andy ps . should finally have some pics on over the weekend . had the respray done today.

to be honest with you mate if you have the original bose boxes in the back you will get a much better fit and finish by dropping 6.5 straight in there . get some focal or audiobahn . a lot of 6x9 are too deep . the sound quality in mine now is awesome . check ebay. coaxials in the back and components in the front . make sure your best speekers go in the front. andy

hello mate . like most new owners of an old super car as i did you feel a bit scared of the beast . i thought i,d bought a bag of crap after a few noises started to appear . dont forget its only a car . yes its more powerful than the norm and a lot more complicated to someone not in the know but 30 mins in the hands of someone with a conzult and a bit of knowledge and you will be in love with your zed . dont forget its jap biult and meant to last .

after looking at several options on spoilers have decided to stick with original 1 . gonna try and keep this baby as original as possible . apart from the wheels of course

next on my list of things to do with my zed is to change the pcv valves as i have a bit of smoke at idle from the passenger side bank which appears after a couple of mins of idling . can the old valves and pipes be cleaned up or do they need to be replaced . if they need to be replaced can anyone recommend a place to buy from . also is it an easy enough job to do .

hi all . i have a stock spoiler at the moment but am thinking of adding a high level one . are there any that fit ontop of the stock or will stock spoiler have to be removed . its a 1990 jap import with brake light in spoiler . anyone have one . cheers andyzx

z went though with flying colours. all those sleepless nights were a waste of time . i,d like to say a big thankyou to jeff and jamie for the time and knowledge they gave me at zedworld . as a new owner six months back they took the time to steer me in the right direction . cheers guys

forgot to mention in original post . each time the car gets a clean i give the seals a wipe over with a black wax specially for seals . keeps them looking nice and helps keep them supple .

hi all . if you have ever gone on the ozzy owners site you may have seen my post on there . if not here goes . firstly remove all seals from car , around doors , targa tops . clean all metal as clean as clean you can get it . fill your bath with hot water and a load of fairy liquid and throw all the seals in. when i done mine i left them in for about 5 hours and just kept topping up the hot water . all of the crap that has built up over the years in the seals (drain holes running through the seals)will soften and with a soft cloth can be cleaned out . a good method is to take the shower head off and blast water through the seals .you will be amazed at the amount of sticky black crap that comes out of them . there are several little drain holes and channels in the rubber . all of these need cleaning thourally . the cleaner you get them the better . once all the rubbers are clear of sticky stuff they will regain a lot of their shape . leave to dry 100% . when re-installing seals be sparing with the sealer as you dont want to block any of the drain channels again . before i did mine it leaked like a sieve , now its jet washer proof . the sealant i used was made by wynns and stays stuck unlike normal silicon which lifts after a while .
