  1. The more the merrier i reckon Ian, i would say that advertising that meet would make sense considering there are already quite a few names down on the other list - including yours and mine
  2. I've had a few valuations of plates that i have which i wanted to sell for me and members of my family, and places like Regtransfers put a far too high price on em: A4 PDA - £1000 A8 DJA - £1000 A2 NJA - £1000 and wait for it..... DA 99 - £16000!!!! Guess what - no enquiries at those prices. Realitically i have looked at similar plates to the first 3 and to replace would cost about £3-500. (including all the added costs) I am looking to buy a plate for the missus P22 PEE (pee pee) and it is going for £189 on regtransfers (but with transfer cost etc it is going to be about £350 i think.) Most plates with a letter first then a number folllowed by 3 letters seem to be between £189 - £300 before all the transfer and registrations costs.
  3. Looking really good mate, not long now....
  4. Gotta stay optimistic bud... especially in these times... (but you do make a very valid point about fuel guzzling beasts.)
  5. Well it does look like a very clean example, and low mileage etc... but that is quite expensive. To be honest though i don't mind seeing them priced like this as it helps keep the value of all ours a little more stabe. I don't think that it will be too long before the prices do go up a bit as sooo many are being broken thesedays.
  6. :duffer:Happy Birthday :duffer:
  7. You have pm dude. :thumbup1:
  8. As above bud, I am gutted for you, it's the feeling of not being able to do anything to get the little scrots back that really hurts. On a positive note, you can now claim a respray on your insurance i suppose? that might make you feel a bit better?
  9. Thanks guys - when removing the box is it then easy to remove the old torque converter or is that a whole new world of pain? Likewise, i think a new cooler would be in order.
  10. :duffer:Happy Birthday :duffer:
  11. Agreed, hammer not the best, but a hair drier should do it, just take your time and DONT bang with a hammer or else they will inevitably break on you.
  12. Ok mate, if you can keep me posted as to your progress that would be really cool, thanks again craig.
  13. Craig that is very generous of you, what sort of timeframe are we talking about do you think? So much for me coming round in the next week or 2 and swapping those bits...
  14. Thanks for the adcvice guys, I have a few enquiries out at the moment with regards to both manual and auto options. Clearly it will be cheaper to go auto, and funds are really tight and i do like the autobox so that might be the solution.... but as Grovver says manuals do not have the same issues as the auto boxes. I think in this case it might just come down to cost as opposed to anything else, but at the same time, if it is just a temporary fix (ie autobox will go again) am i just throwing good money after bad? I think i will just have to see what my enquiries come back with and then i can make a more assesed judgement of the situation. ho hum... the joys of zed ownership eh!
  15. Well i am gutted to say that i went to a meet in Alton yesterday and did about 150-200 mile round trip and thought that everything was hunky dory, till i got about 5 miles from home and i noticed a bit of a noise. When i pulled off the motorway and to some lights, she didn't sound happy as i came to a halt, and likewise when pulling away, then no noise again, so i continued slowly back home, but as i pulled up outside the house she didn't sound happy again, and when i put the box into P she made a grinding/rattling type noise. So i went through the gears with my foot on the brake and she sounds fine in D, 1 & 2, but does not sound happy at all in P and N. Not so much a grinding noise as a grating type rattle. I think that the box is clearly on the way out, so i think i am now going to bite the bullet and replace i think. Just not sure if to go manual or stay with the auto. I know everyone here will say go manual, but i like the autobox (till it started playing up) and also the missus won't drive a manual. Also there is the cost implication involved, and christmas round the corner... and the missus' 30th in 3 weeks.... and my very possible impending redundancy in the new year due to government cuts in youth provision.... Gutted really as i honestly thought i had cracked it this time. Not really sure what to do but just wanted to share with you guys. Maybe one last clean of the filter and fluid swap?
  16. Thank you mate.
  17. I find that mine runs best on Tesco momentum...
  18. It has a smooth tailgate and different exhausts. Check out my ride as i have the actual tailgate from the car in the first pic on mine. And a slightly different rear bumper which i bought from CarMad on here who makes all sorts.
  19. i think the black one is a standard jap rear with the stonechip removed with a smooth tailgate.
  20. smooth skirts and smooth rear bumper extension:
  21. Best of the best and bloodsport are some of the best cheesy ones, I love the old Jackie chan stuff like drunken master and police story, and the old jet li stuff like twin warriors and romeo must die. Also ong bak was pretty cool.
  22. Stunning mate, I too want to know what that rear bumper is. Thanks for posting the pics mate, It's nice to see nice examples. (just need to do your rear quarter panels in red now) I just re-did mine and they are a biatch!
  23. :duffer:Happy Birthday :duffer:
