To be honest Craig - i'm not really sure, I have been scouring ebay of late, and am tempted on a set of new brakes, some new coilovers, and some new wheels.... all this while trying to get the manual conversion done!!!! Perhaps i should just stick to one thing at a time. And as an aside, just to confirm, i would do what i like, because as you say - Its my car. Nice mate, looks really clean and the spoiler looks great - i love the standard one. I love white cars, but the zed looks particularly cool in a clean crisp white.

If in Safety mode the boost will not go up further than 3 quarters on the guage no matter how hard you put your pedal down. If the o2 sensors are faulty, it would probebly kick into safety mode, and there would be more of a fuel smell i reckon? ( I stand to be corrected by those with more knowledge than i) Also as an aside, when driving to scotland in convoy behind my girlfriends parents doing 55 - 65mph i got better fuel consumption figures when driving back at 70 - 90mph?? Someone told me it is beacause the engine are more geared to higher speeds than lower speeds? Likewise the 350 has a bigger engine, but was manufactured in a a more recent time when fuel consumption figures are much more important than 20 years ago when the zed was made....

yeah, the mpg is not great, but shouldn't be that bad. Is it running in safety mode? as apparently they will run really rich when doing so?

yes mate, i beleive the auto is shorter? but i could be wrong - I know that they are different in length though.
