  1. hmm i wonder what you'll be up to for the foreseeable future.. Enjoy your new telly mate.
  2. nice car mate, and welcome to the club
  3. Having bought some cheap ones from ebay, i thought i had got myself a good deal, BUT alas, one of the balasts was not holding charge properly so sometimes worked, and sometimes didn't. I couldn't be arsed with dealing with Chinese customer service etc so ended up buying another balast off ebay which worked fine, but my £45 lights (with delivery) suddenly became £60 and still if i have a problem, i would have to deal with international customer services etc. So perhaps the moral of the story is that it is cheaper to go ebay, but your then kind of on your own, at least with a UK supplier you would have somewhere to go if they go wrong etc. Best mod i have done to the car to be honest.
  4. how bout one of these? bout £500 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/peugeot-205-1-9-gti-road-rally-car-/160513327040?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item255f56ffc0 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1991-FORD-FIESTA-XR2I-BLACK-/200551579944?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2eb1ce4128 cheap and loads of fun, and will surely leave some in the bank to get the zed back on the road?
  5. I love the GTO - very nearly bought one instead of the Zed.... I'm glad i got the Zed to be honest, but i think the GTO sits beautifully and unlike most, i love the old pop up lights as opposed to the newer version.
  6. Hi mate, unfortunately i'm not going round to Andys tomorrow as he needs to work on his car and get them lights sorted. Didn't want you turning up thinking that I'll be there - of course if you were already going down there then no problemo.
  7. not the angles you want but both the 89 and smooth, I like it smooth, but the smooth boot looks better on a swb than a lwb like mine. i think the only spoilers i would ever have are the original, smooth or 99spec to be honest.
  8. Mate - Exactly what you want from a cheap runaround.
  9. :duffer:Happy Birthday :duffer:
  10. still hardly any round here.... i could do with a day off work!
  11. nice - i like those old 5 series - had a 535i myself years ago. I didn't know they ever did 4wd version.
  12. happy days Graham.
  13. oooh that looks nice mate.
  14. 25 when divided between 2 zeds more like.... ::whistling:
  15. can some of you old buggers get your age down please - i dont like being the oldest on this list as i know there are a few fossils out there!
  16. 32 - first zed, but most definately not the last.
  17. Correctamundo! Like i said it does look like a nice piece of kit, and at a good price - personally I didn't want to go down the plasma route, as they are not as reliable if they gey heavy use, and they cost more to run. - BUT at 46" that is a pretty massive screen for not a lot of dollar!
  18. That does look nice, and at a decent price too, i notice that it does not have a PC input - so i don't think that you would not be able to connect your PC or Mac to it. Not essential, but i like to watch all my catch up TV etc on the big screen. Likewise porn on a screen that big..... all you have to do is leave a tin of open tuna on the radiator and it's like your there!
  19. No snow here at all..... not even any frost on the car this morning!!! Hopefully our sub tropical climate will hold out till after the weekend.
  20. Funny - I just bought one yesterday... Ended up going to Richer sounds after a bit of research, and bought an LG42LF7700: Freesat HD Freeview 100htz refresh rate Fully HD PC compatable USB ports 3 x HDMI ports etc, etc £499 + i got the 5 yr warrenty @10% I checked a few places and Richer sounds were the best for value, I looked at Plasma vs LCD vs LED and LCD was best for my requirements. (Currys did a nice panasonic which Richer sounds did for about £75 less - and the warrenty with currys was more than twice the price.) Make sure you have a high refresh rate: 100htz or more (plasma will be nearly 10 x higher - but needs to be - the higher the refresh rate the less pixilation and juddering when things move fast on screen etc) Plasma screens cost more to run, and can burn out quicker (dead pixels etc) LED screens are a touch more expensive, but the screen will be thinner, it is newer technology, but not a huge ammount of difference between LCD and LED. I would make sure you have freeviw HD or Freesat HD inbuilt. Make sure that you TV will be far enough away from where you will be watching it from of the picture quality will seem worse than it actually is. Here are a couple: http://www.richersounds.com/compareproducts Check out thier website dude, i would reccomend, I have been buying sound systems from them for years, and have always had good experiences. (14 day trial period on all purchases anyway, so if your not happy with it you can take it back!)
