  2. i have always had a soft spot for Calibras, but never the guts to admit it out loud.:x: ... cor this place is sometimes like therapy... " Hi, my name is Paul, and I like Calibras..."
  3. Drrooooollll.... They just look lush!!!
  4. Agreed, Keith really is a good bloke.
  5. can't go wrong with a nice old golf or something like that mate. Mk3s are cheap as chips thesedays, nice little 1.4 or something?
  6. if you get the car up on a lift then it's an absolute doddle. there are 2 little shields which kind of overlap and clip to each other.... any tiny bit of movement or give and hey presto.. dodgy low horrible rattle. If on axle stands then its a bit harder to get to, but a bit of bending or jiggery pokery and you should be good to go, I am tempted just to remove the shields altogether, but I'm sure that can't be the safest option. Chris, your motor is getting some serious love recently..... I'm looking forward to seeing her finished

  8. there is a little heat shield passenger side front over fuel lines kinda just in between the front of the door and just back from the wheel. mine rattles as i pull away but with careful feathering of the revs till i get past about 3 mph i can usually keep it to a minimum. Really should pull my finger out and secure the shield properly.

  10. Bantumbuny has a nice set of wheels for sale on here, check out his thread. Likewise someone else is also selling a nice set of wheels. It's all down to personal preference though, I like deep dish myself.... Or is that deep pan
  11. Nice one mate.

  13. i could pop over to Craigs (ZX-TT) on Sunday afternoon... mini meet?
  14. I like the look of this.. the missus works for a local charity so i might even be able to swing it with her as a fund raising event?
  15. I live between oxford and reading..... Mini meet?
  16. That was what i was thinking Steve, the side of a marquee would be perfect. I would also look to download a load of car related movies perhaps and maybe make a little running programme or something so that if anyone was bored at any time then there would be stuff to watch? Might be worth bringing an xbox or something too then we could designate certain times to some gaming comps perhaps? Anyway I'm happy to bring the projector, the laptop and some speakers if necessary.
  17. no assistance needed really bud, i'll bring an old laptop and the projector. Alll i need to make sure of is that we can link it into the sound system that is/should be set up.... If, however no-one is bringing some sounds then i can bring some crappy computer speakers. I am hoping that whomever is taking a lead on ther whole JAE thing this year will speak to IanL who has kindly offered to help out with sounds and lights etc... I hope i'm not talking out of turn, but I'm sure i saw a post a while back where he offered to bring some of his equipment. I have the following cartoon series on that old laptop: Trapdoor Wacky Races Transformers series 1 and 2 Thundercats The Smurfs MASK... I loved this when i was a kid... Loads more but i seem to have a bit of a mental block at the moment... I also have a load of classic manga stuff like: Ghost in the shell - both series and film Fist of the Northstar Ninja Scroll Gundam Wing Etc and more kicking about on disc somewhere.
  18. hey vods - you organising this again? I like the idea of woking with th eother z clubs out there to make a mahoosive z fest! I have a digi projector and a load of old cartoons that we can stick on a loop or something.... including every episode of WACKY RACES!!!! which seems appropriate.
  19. looks like an awesome car for the money.
  20. some discussion on this subject before: http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=144112&highlight=fmic The jury is out for me really, but i do think that i have learned that with some products, If you buy cheap, you buy twice! I am also considering a FMIC so would be interested to hear from anyone who has bought the cheaper copies.
  21. I do love a zed in white... I just think they look the nuts.
  22. Welcome mate. I too love the wheels on your zed  Got any more pics of your rat meets? I'm on the fence but I think that when you see one done to a high standard they really are like a work of art, but most of the ones i've seen just sand their bonnet and stick on a few cable ties.
