  1. Lol... they're the ones that cost a bit more i'm afraid dude.
  2. Good man.... I love a bit of community spirit.
  3. mate, is it time to save up a few pennies and take her over to see Jeff and Jamie? I just feel for you as every zed you have seem to present one issue after another and as soon as you sort one issue another pops it's head up to crush your spirit a bit more.. Sorry dude, I just hate to see you lose your mojo.
  4. In answer to your original question mate... What's it worth?... Not a lot probably. These are great cars with sooo much personality, but they are a massively undervalued piece of motoring. Have a look through the "cars for sale" area on here and other sites and you will see that £2 or £3k can get you a cracking car, you will also see people who have spent thousands and thousands in upgrades and a very high performance and well put together motor struggle to get half of what has been spent on it, and at the other end you will see tatty ones exchange hands for pennies (relatively speaking) You are looking at a SWB which are rarer and command a bit more dosh, but my advice is that since these cars do require continuous maintenance and most people here will tell you how much they've thrown at their car over the years, I would advise you to try and get one that doesn't need loads doing to it, just to get it roadworthy. However, if you can do the mechanics, welding and bodywork, then you might just create a masterpiece that is guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go.
  5. Nice work everyone, even the weather conspired and a nice sunny day for it. I probably should have dragged the zed up there but alas was otherwise engaged..... I did however win 4 and 2, so not all bad :) I think that a summer bash sounds great; I think that even more would turn up. With that many zeds how bout a few comps and awards throughout the day? (some serious and some silly) Maybe we could spend a little of the club funds on a couple of cups or trophies or something? Anyway some really nice cars there by the looks of things.
  6. I wasn't going to respond to this thread, but having read many of the posts and having heard many opinions (all of which we are entitled to) I am saying here and now: I was on strike on Wed, I marched through Oxford Why? Massive cuts to youth provision No more youth service, no connexions service, no mentoring service, no face to face counselling, no family intervention to name but a few vital services that have been cut that we have been fighting for. The government and those in power have seen that we were crushed along the way, and the only thing left to fight for after all our professions and our services were slashed is our pensions I work incredibly hard... i often work over 50hrs a week, and have worked many longer weeks too. I work with some of the most vulnerable people in society... young people who have been dealt a pretty crappy hand. Those who have very little chance in life.... kids on drugs, kids who's parents are on drugs, some kids who have been forced into prostitution, some who still cant read and write at the age of 16, 17 and 18, some with serious mental health issues, kids who live on the streets to name but a few. Many many of my hard working (and admittedly some lazy and not so great) colleagues are now out of work having had their jobs slashed in an attempt to save money and fill the holes in our make believe economy, holes that were created by people who couldn't be further from those working in the public sector. I myself had to re-apply and had to take a 12% paycut.. all in the name of austerity. I work sodding hard, I deal with a lot of crap, and i get a pretty poor salary. With all this said i feel that i have a right to stand up for my job, for my dying profession, for my colleagues, my service users, and my pension. And just to clarify, my pension is not just given to me... i pay over £175 a month into said pension, and will be doing this for the next 40 years having paid into it for over 8 years already. 50 years of that = over £100,000 of my own investment into the pension, so surely I have the right to stand up and fight when someone is messing with my future security. Seeing as i will probably never be in a position to own my own home due to my low income, this future security is pretty important to me. I cannot talk for every public sector worker out there, but i can talk for myself and that is what i have just done.
  7. Mate. i have a spare set of standard wheels which are fully legal if that helps at all?
  8. nice one steve... who's that good looking chunk of hunk in the sheepskin?
  9. In all seriousness, in my old single days, if i couldn't sleep, I'd just crack one off and that always seemed to do the trick. :xxx::xxx:... seriously though, it worked!
  10. Now according to both my missus, and worryingly Andy Isherward, I tend to snore like a hippo having a heart attack, so she uses Kalms which is a Herbal remedy: http://www.kalmssleep.com/ however tesco do a home brand type version which is about half the price.... however, you did say that you didn't want to take pills, so I guess all of the above suggestions: better diet, more structured routine including regular exercise, less artificial sugars, stay away from caffeine, sweets and fizzy drinks. Warm milk/hot chocolate or malt drinks before bed especially with a healthy slug of whisky or brandy. As my esteemed college suggested above a fat reefer or 2 tends to have the desired effect, but can you leave you feeling fuzzy in the morning. And my personal favourite, give her a jolly good seeing too and then let her start asking all those post coital questions like.. "what you thinking about? or how much do you love me, or describe me in 3 words?..." and trust me, you will be asleep in no time. WARNING!!! DO NOT however, answer the 3 questions as such: 1) what you thinking about? - umm, well just thinking how long i have to wait till i can go downstairs for the aforementioned reefer and play the xbox.. 2) how much do you love me? - umm, loads, but that's just cos you let me smash your back doors in. 3) describe me in 3 words? - can't be arsed. Helpful? i doubt it.

HI mate, I have my name down on a different site. Looks like it will be a fun afternoon, however the Zed is in the garage, so you will have to check out my new chavmobile.
  14. Woah that's nasty. Any idea why he dropped mate? Anyway, i'm sure he'll be surfing along here soon enough, so i hope your doing ok Ian Jnr, just take things nice and easy. And don't worry about the nasty gash... chicks dig scars.
  15. Hi mate, love the skyline.
  16. Hi mate, welcome. Love your engine, it looks lush.
  17. happy birthday mate
  18. Here you go: http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=133972 It won't help with clearance measurements, but might give you some inspiration for what sort of kit your looking for?
  19. I would say that most would fit and have clearance, I'm sure there is a thread somewhere in the FAQs which lists, with pics most of the bodykits out there. I know that some of the guys on here have got their Zed slammed and they have kits on. Will it get over speed humps without fouling? difficult to say bud, I guess it depends on the height of the hump really. I know that this is probably not very helpful, but it might be worth asking someone on here who has a lowered car with the bumpers that you like. I'll see if i can find that link with all the bodykits.. it is quite useful for reference
  20. I'm sorry guys, I am not available to make this meet tomorrow. I am an official let-down. :xxx: However I do have a set of standard alloys with decent rubber on em. If you can pick them up from Didcot then you are more than welcome to borrow them mate.
  21. silly claim, but £1600 for a TT is pretty cheap I do like that grey... looks nice and smart
  22. I get £90 in mine, The reserve tank is bigger than you think, you can get 30 + miles from when the light comes on.
