Hi all. Well, the first thing to go wrong is my Headlight, went to get in it to go and pick up some beer, and my right headlight has gone. I'm glad it didn't go last night whilst in Southend, there were so many cops about I would have been pulled instantly, it's pretty weird that it's happened tonight and not last night really, but hey, whatever. Anyway, where do you guys get your replacement bulbs from? Halfords? And as it's a Jap import am I going to have any problems with fitments etc. I've never had a bulb go on me before, let alone on a Zed, so I thought if anyone knew any tips or had any suggestions, it would be those boys online. Any help would be cool, I must admit driving around with just the foglights looked kinda good, but not exactly best for visibility :D One footnote, since a bulb has gone, do you think it's best to upgrade? As like some others have said, the standard lights aren't that great for night time... Know of anyone who does them? Any traders from here?

Since I like and regularly partake in drifting/doughnuts/sprints I went for a manual. I drove both types whilst looking for my Zed, and like someone else said, the bloody thing changing up or down mid-corner is crap, and you cannot properly control drift with an Auto. I love being in total control, and the feeling of getting a good start in a manual is like nothing else. Put it this way, how many Race cars have auto boxes? How many drift exhibition teams run Autos? The ONLY reason I can think of where an Auto is better is if you do a lot of town driving, stop/start all the time, and you don't really drive it that hard. No disrespect to Auto owners, it's still a Zed after all! And no matter what, everyone loves their pride and joy, whether it's auto or manual or SWB or NA/TT, leather/cloth interior, the list goes on. A Zed is a Zed at the end of the day and that's all that matters :)

True that, I've had anything from 5.2 to 6.1... Getting a good start and keeping traction is bloody hard! But that's what makes driving this car so much fun :D

I noticed that in my blast to Work this morning, seemed to want to take off! I wanted to call in sick and drive round all day! lol

It's silly I know but that bit of driveway looks excactly like where I stayed, and there was a 200sx there too. Didn't pay it much attention at the time, I was on my honeymoon a month and a half ago in the Blue Bay Club. The cars over there are wild, never seen so many Beetles on the road at the same time lol. The driving is even wilder though! Amazing place eh? Which hotel did you end up in?

Wherabouts in Mexico was that mate? Wasn't Cancun by any chance?

I'm still shi tt ing a brick waiting for the first thing to go wrong, but touch wood I've had her for nearly 3 months now and nothings gone wrong yet... :) Such a change from my Focus Auto Estate :eek: I could never go back to a car like that, unless kids came along of course. But I think that's the only reason I would willingly part with my pride and joy.

Nice, after the conflicting reports from Nisstek, I think I'd be prepared to travel to Southend to get a few bits done by them. I may even leave it there Saturday night lol

I've heard tell the first organised cruise is happening, TV coverage and convoys coming from all over the place. Trade stands etc. I was wondering if anyone else has heard, has any more details and if you're planning on going, maybe we can meet up and convoy into Southend? I know there are a few members who reside in Southend on here, do you know what's happening?

I havn't found the Zed to be too much of a guzzler on motorway runs at all. Quite surprising really. It's only on Friday and Saturday nights when I get through £40 of Petty a night.... :eek: Worth every penny though, all I say to people who sneer and say "yeah but what's the mpg like? hrr hrr" (why do people feel the need to do that? Jealousy I suppose) is I wouldn't have bought a car like this if I was worried about petrol. That soon shuts them up as they go and get in their nice economical family cars. Morons.

The amount of complaints we get from our customers saying they haven't had their documents is unreal! We know we're sending it out, but a large percentage is just not getting to them on time if at all. It's a sad state of affairs I agree.

I was worried about this as well, as I have a whiney whhistley noise on boost. Mr Duff kindly suggested checking the hoses, but I have found no loose jubilee clips as yet. It doesn't seem to affect performance, but I've only driven mine for any length of time. Mine could be slow as shite and I wouldn't know the difference! lol I would love to meet up and get one of you guys to have a go in it so I'd know if it's performing anywhere near original specs or (dreaming) above :D . 0-60 and quarter times all seem fairly spot on, but I'm not exactly using Datron timing equipement here ;)
