I know a few threads have popped up about this recently, but today I have just started a new job within the same company servicing and repairing various things at well known superstores throughout the UK. Now I'm useless reading a map, and they only get you to the town you need to be in, nevermind getting you to the store. Today I went to Saffron Walden, Newmarket and Cambridge, and fook me if the bloke I was following learning the job from didn't have a GPS we'd have no chance. So, what I need is something cheap and cheerful that tells me via audio and 3d screen where I need to go. His one was a phone and GPS so no good to me. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions/recommendations for a good portable unit? I had a look today but my head hurts from all the different options! Thanks guys :)

It's a rare thing mate... I agree though, it is a beast and it will catch you out sooner or later if you drive it like a loony everwhere... please be careful, all joking aside. But I think this is a wind up... just for the record :)

I'm with Admiral, very good quote from them, they've never been beaten so give them a try, depends on a lot of things of course :) I have owned a Manual and an Auto, and let's just say after a while of owning my Auto, I thought it was brilliant at first, NOTHING can replicate that feeling of kickdown when you floor it at 40mph - amazing, but I must concede one of the things on my to do list when it comes off the road is a Manual conversion, I miss it a lot, so if you can get a Manual, a lot more fun... Autos are easier to drive if like me it's a daily drive around a lot of congested areas... but I'm going to get it all sorted and have it as my weekend/show car like some here. You won't regret it mate, but make sure you TAKE YOUR TIME. I can't stress this enough, wait for the right one to come along, it will come along, just be patient and wait for a gem to come up for sale and you will be a happy bunny!

Well, we went in true British Bulldog style unlike you poofs lol JDS-Z was there but he had a err.. mishap with his amp the size of Wales, so no Subs but a fantastic Zed all the same, loved the engine bay, he has a VERY sorted Zed :bow: it was a cool night, fit birds, arcades, burgers, some very nice motors this month as well... all in all a good time, just got in and it's ten to two I'm too wired to go to sleep though, we had some fun doing doughnut practice round mini roundabouts on the way home :nana2: It was in a deserted area on a private road (officer) so no Chav like antics just good clean RWD fun We weren't intending to go in the show but when we got there one of the organisers asked us what cars we had, we said "both got 300ZX's" he immediately said "you're in!" with a big grin and handed us the vehicle passes while we drove in past these other cars waiting to be vetted lol brilliant feeling, so we ended up in the show and with JD's Zed opposite us, bit of 300 class among the rest of the unworthy :D Will post some pics up in the morning gotta charge me batteries ;) Shame you two didn't make it, no rain all night :confused: :rofl: :cry:
