I thought the H1 had just a spade end terminal fixed on the back, and the H3 looks the same but the terminal is on a wire (typicaly used in fr fogs) Cheers Steve

Disco's (300 tdi) give the best mpg if thats the sort of size your looking for, freelander diesel's are good too (dont get the petrol model though). All the other IMO are more costly to repair & run. Got a couple of disco's (300tdi & td5), freelander, & a Mazda double cab pickup all for sale. I'm not touting!

Mines allways nose down, i never put much load on the engine when its in this mood, then when its hot all is well. Ive suffered simlar before coming back from norfolk when it was absolutly slashing it down.

Cheers all, ive already tried some oil in and around the ignition, but to no avail. I'm having a look an saturday. Trouble is i keep having to use it, locking it on the remote, i cant help thinking it being parked with the key in ignition, may attract the wrong attention! Dont suppose the insurance would pay out to boot.

Sorry! forgot the vital details!! its manual (was auto) with no tub timer, Its deffo the lock ide say, but i could be wrong as the 300's are very specialised IMO (i have a small garage in Sileby & work on 'the run of the mill cars' for a living) I'm located in woodhouse eaves near Loughborough. Hi, my ignition key is refusing to be removed! its stuck in the number 1 position, this is the stage where the button is requiring a press, the button seems to be jammed. Ive not had chance to have a look at it yet, so im hoping for a few pointers, Cheers for any help or advice, Steve. No, ive not tried disconecting the battery, i even kept the car powered up whilst changing the battery, i'll try the disconecting it, & see if theres any change, if not, i'll just fit a new alternator ££££! thanks both for your input, steve

the cars been stood for 2 weeks, starts up, abs, esp, & other lights on, checked the charge rate & its not charging, check the batt & its a cell down, ive replaced the batt, but still not charging? pressuming its the alternator, but being a modern car im unsure! anyone got any ideas about this? I know you wont believe me, but ive kept up with a carrera 4 in my wifes fiesta rs turbo, (its a 2ltr with a stage 3 t3 & more) only went up to a ton though, as a roundabout appeared! I do know it would of had me in the end, but it was good watching him chase me!
