more power tips please
thanks for the good brake info, i realise there is a knock on effect with power upgrades to a lot of the cars components, its the max power from the standard pistons & rods etc im unsure about, and a list of good known components to get it to this max, basicly i want a build plan to stick to, also does the ecu have to be replaced, or can it be 'live mapped' ? & why dont i see anyone useing 2 chargecoolers? i know theres a lot of experienced people on here  , please help! thanks again steve

more power tips please
hi all, firstly its a tt, i have a chip & boost jets (not sure what sort, whatever z world use), free flow filter & exhaust (not brand makes). what is the max safe(ish) power i can build on the standard internals, dont mind fitting turbo's etc if necessary, is there a good series of stages to build good power or is it a case of buy all at once, then fit? thanks in advance for any help/advice, steve

grey/black smoke on hard accelloration
thanks for that, does it have to be a conzult? i have access to a snap-on scanner & an E.G.A (gas analiser) would an emission test show anything do you think? i noticed the tail pipes are both black & sooted up, so its looking like over fueling.

grey/black smoke on hard accelloration
hi all, my wife uses the zed mostly for going to & from work, its about 15 miles a day in total. when i get in it at the weekend, i like to have a little play, but as soon as i floor it it chucks out a big cloud of grey smoke, it does clear and gets better each time, its done 68,000 miles and had recon tubs at about 60,000. im thinking 02 sensors or just choked up from the misses pottering around, any help or advice would be great, dont like it being driven if theres as poss problem. thanks steve

strange noise on coming from gearbox
if a spigot bearing is missing, how can it make a noise? if the noise is there only when the clutch pedal is down, the gearbox is not turning, leaving only the spigot or release bearing surely!

Most Common Places a Z32 Leak (Engine oil/coolant/transmission/Powersteering)
ive got an oil leak, it forms a small puddle on the alloy pipe (stat housing?, front above water pump) seems to leak oil from the r/h ex cam pulley, ive had the engine out, replaced the cam seals & resealed the r/covers & lots more!, still leaks & allways has  every one says r/cover & through experiance with the 300's, their prob right, but if any one seen it with the cam covers removed, i'm sure they would say cam seal (replaced twice!), heres my post; http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=43117&highlight=oil+leak :)

oil leak
ive also done rocker covers whilst doing head gaskets, shells etc, though it could be leaking again! i take it the (variable?) cam pulleys cant leak then? i thought they may have a seal or something in to allow the pulley to move freely a few degrees wilst the cam stays still (i noticed this when the belt was removed). removing the plenum is a nightmare, ill just take the lump out first this time, unless theres an easy way!

oil leak
when i done the cambelt (z32tt), i noticed oil from around the cam pulley areas, so i replaced the cam & crank seals. i had to remove the covers again & the oil is back (though only around the o/s ex cam pulley) i replaced this seal, but it continues to leak, im wondering if it could be the pulley itself leaking? & if they can, how do you fix it? (not replace surely!)
