  1. cheers, i'll keep my eye on it.
  2. i say yes to the blockade, but as said it wont get anyone anywhere IMO, trouble in this country is we never stand united. anyway back to working & getting shafted all the time!!
  3. hi, just dropped the wife off in town, & give it a little burst on the way back. i didnt think it pulled as normal, but i was in third, so maybe the revs were to low & i should of cogged down, anyway an alfa pulled out straight in front of me & as i braked i noticed the speedo needle flickering. dont know if its anything to worry about or not, but if it is i would rather know! its a jap tt, chipped, delimited & foam filter (crap i know) thanks steve
  4. i had a manual conversion after 2 troublesome auto boxes, & my 2nd gear grates when cold, i'm gonna fix it when it breaks! & enjoy being reliable for now :)
  5. the stud pattern is different, i was hoping there was some sort of addapter. i'll have to flog em, & get some jap ones, its a shame cos i really like the wheels. thanks for the advice, steve
  6. i had a missfire on one cylinder & it was an injector connection green/corroded, hth.
  7. i know its not a 300, but i fitted a techniclutch to my wifes fiesta rst, & its been superb, the power was upped (via a 2.1cc engine) & a new ford clutch just slipped on boost. not to sure about your jerking, are your engine & g/box mounts ok?
  8. hi, i have a nice set of (18x10 & 18x8) ATS split rims, trouble is there off a vauxhall omega! is there some way of adapting either the wheels or the stud pattern of the 300? thankyou steve :)
  9. wish i hadn't read this! i pay 98 pence a litre from texeco, our tesco dont do super  good news for those near a tesco super outlet though, wife (works there) says there doing 5p a litre off when you do a £50 shop, its meant to start either this or next w/end :)
  10. hi mtl, ive pm'd you, re stickers. previous pm to you (may) is marked as unread, so if theres a prob, please let me know samantha.hall4@btinternet.com cheers steve
  11. must be a way round it, ill have a look one of these days.
  12. dont let the b******s grind you down, as said get a camera up & repaint the quarter, at least you will get a pic of them if they try again, so you can give em a good pasteing. my x girlfriend suffered loads of scratches & flat tyres, then one night we were sat snogging in the car & heard a scrape noise, jumped out of the car to find an old boy (60 ish) with a key in his hand! only lived 2 doors away, shame he was an old git, cuz i wanted to smack him, but i felt it a good idea not to, prob drop dead knowing my luck!
  13. is this right? in my experience you just have no resistance on the brake pedal when the master cylinder goes down, so no brakes! but never come across one leaking excessivly, causing puddles? would of thought it more likely to be a flexi hose, bleed nipple, or caliper leak, pumping the pedal whilst someone looks under the car should find the prob if it leaking that bad!
  14. thanks mate, at least i know is normal (if you can call it normal) you would think they could park as soon as there switched off, like all other cars! why an extra wipe  bloody japs!
  15. when ever i have my wipers on, then switch them off, they insist on an extra wipe, its not really a prob, but its bloody annoying! is this what there meant to do or is there a prob with the switch or relay? also my hand brake is high & not very good performance, i remember adjusting it up on the shoes in the discs before, but the lever remains high, is there cable adjustment somewhere? & any reasons other than worn hand brake shoes that the performance is crap? thankyou steve
  16. woodhouse eaves in leicestershire :)
  17. sounds like the clutch cover has gone weak to me (small fingers that the release bearing pushes on weaken, this is exaggerated when hot, as they get even weaker), if it was in the box, it would be worse when cold IMO, oil levels & any other cheap fixes are the routes to take first though obviously.
  18. dont know if its significant, but i used to top up the rad, then after a bit of a thrash, it would drop some water from the overflow, couldnt find a prob, so i left the coolant level low, still could be seen at the top of the rad, just not up to the brim, like i had previously filled it, since that its never played up again, the level is still as i left it, i pressumed it needed this bit of room for expansion reasons.
  19. sorry to hear your having a bit of bad luck with the Z, had loads with mine, seems to be ok now though. yeah the lighting is good but the pics a bit bigger than i was expecting, perhaps would have looked better if i had green fingers to,
  20. ahhh wicked!!! thanks :hyper: :hyper: i think i will have to do some cropping of the background next, & thanks for the compliment blackmagic, wanna swap :D
  21. hi, im not very good on pc's, & im struggling to get a pic out of my rides & into my posts. can someone please give an idiots guid please! cheers & thanks for being patient in advance! ah i can see my attempt below! but i wanted it on the left under my user name really
  22. joined a while ago now, paid via paypal then pm'd mtl, but still not recieved any stickers (was looking forward to them), you can email me on samantha.hall4@btinternet.com if more info is required, cheers steve
  23. just been reading this topic on http://www.fiestaturbo.com about shaving the injector caps to flow more, & wondered if it should & could be used on the 300tt? post goes like this: (click the link below) But that's not all. If you plan REALLY BIG power 375 cc/min can't be enought. 375 cc/min Nissan injectors are good for 300+ HP. Then... just simply shave the cap of injector!!! Read more about this mod here: http://forums.probetalk.com/showthread.php?t=1701147295 Ok, with "shaved" cap now you have ~550 cc/min injectors and can get up to 500HP (!?!). Have luck!
  24. i flushed my zxtt engine with the forte engine flush, we use a lot of it at work on 'everyday' cars, we had a 106 pug, which wuold not pass the cat test, flushed & changed the oil, & it then passed the test! also had 2 escort 1.8 diesels flushed & they both start so much better (the rep will actually take compression readings before & after flushing, & in nearly all cases, they will have gone up), got to say though, i never noticed any difference on the 300, but it hasnt harmed anything yet!
  25. good info, thanks everyone :D
