mini Conzult!?!
Not wanting to sound too critical of "freebies" but several observations: 1. the guy can't spell to save his life ... doesn't inspire confidence in his programming capabilities (this is IMHO only) 2. you get what you pay for ... if it's free it's probably not worth it ... 3. in the guy's own words "you need a ConZult ... to make this work" 4. from our own experience of porting the monitoring and data logging functions to a palm O/S - it will not work on all hand held devices and requires a different interface/programming for all different types/brands of hand helds Other than the above I think he's been creative and probably has a product worth downloading but only after a lot of further development - as it stands at the moment I don't think you'll get much use from it. Please note that all the above observations, comments and thoughts are made in my opinion and do not reflect those of this forum. Cheers! Dan

NZR: looking for a small tft screen
Hi guys, I'm looking for a small tft screen. I've tried all the usual suspects (Maplins, PC stores, Car audio/visual stores, etc) but they don't have what I'm after. Specifically, I'm looking for a colour tft screen (upto 7" diag.) but without any external plastic casing. I'm also not too worried about the resolution. This is for a project I'm working on - involving a two way mirror and said screen. I've been told to buy a full unit and then dismantle it but would rather buy the screen component itself - got to be cheaper ... Does anybody have any ideas as to where I can get something like this? I've looked on e-bay and a company called "Lilliput" seem to make the right size screens, but again, only with the outer casing. Surely manufacturers are getting these screens separately from the casings ... Any pointers much appreciated. Cheers! Danny EDIT: Oops, posted in the wrong section - sorry - could a moderator please move this to General where it belongs ... thanks!

exhaust idea can i do it ?
SLR - it uses a series of bends and lengths of tubing containing cats and silencers before exiting. The bends also provide a certain amount of back pressure required to slow the exit speed of the gasses. Contrary to popular belief, a completely free flowing exhaust can actually loose you power because the exit speed of the gasses is too high. There is a certain amount of back pressure required for optimum performance.

exhaust idea can i do it ?
Just thinking of the actual application side of things ... could be tricky in the Z as you'd need to pass the exhaust pipes over the central chassis supports which would put them too close to the road to go over any sort of bump/dip/curb.

DTA Danny!
Think you might mean Saturday 20th Nov. If so then it was definitely me - what time was this? I remember an S2000 passing me in the roadworks (M42N) and looking straight at me ... could be you? Isn't my car filthy - should really wash it soon. Cheers! Dan

Induction Kit Fitting q
As easy as that - more or less ... Removing the old airbox can be a real bugger but after that it's plain sailing. If you like I can e-mail you the fitting instructions I send with the A'PEXi's I sell. Gives you a clear picture of where the bolts are, etc. It is in pdf format. Let me know. Cheers, Danny

strut bar
Hi Alex, Yes mate, but the result is usually only noticable under hard cornering. The result of fitting both front and rear strut braces is flatter cornering and hence the ability to go through corners at a higher speed due to increased grip/adhesion to the road. There is not much point in just fitting the front bar as you'll be introducing a mis-balance into the handling equation. If you really want to go all the way in enhancing the car's handling you'll need to buy front and rear upper strut braces, front and rear lower anti-sway bars and for the die-hards amongst us you'll also need to buy chassis braces which are welded directly to the chassis and suspension. If you'd like to buy some strut braces I have them in stock at the moment. Take advantage of our christmas promotion (quote: XMAS04 at time of ordering) and receive a 10% discount! Take care buddy. Conzult
Hey Mike, Have a look at the review/screenshots on our website (click on ConZult) - there are some pics missing near the bottom of the screenshot page but they should be up in a couple of days). The conZult will (a) give graphical feedback of nearly every sensor in the car, (b) perform all the engine, A/T transmission, climate control and HICAS diagnostics, © offers real-time workshop features (TPS, idle, timing, fueling, etc) and (d) give you a warm glowing feeling ... ;) The system can easily be plugged into another Z32, GTi-R, 200SX, some Skylines. If you need me to source a laptop I can organise that for you. Hope this helps. Cheers, Danny

NZR: small van required
Cheers for that James :) The mileage will be limited to traveling from Warwickshire to Harwich then about 30 miles in The Netherlands and then the return from Harwich to Warwickshire. Total should be roughly: 430 miles. A lot of the places included free mileage as it was over two days rental ... Thanks mate - look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Dan

NZR: small van required
Hi guys! When I moved from Marbella to the UK back in late 2000 (why, why, why, why, oh why did I ever move .... :slap: had an apartment on a golf course, a Ferrari 355 Spyder in the garage and a beffy of Scandinavian women at my beckon call ... :x: ) I had about 4 cubic meters worth of stuff boxed up and stored at my apartment in Holland. Now that I've moved into a bigger house I've got space to put those things and intend to drive to Holland over New Year's and bring it all back. Problem: I can't find a van rental place that doesn't charge the cost of a trip on the Space Shuttle. Basically, I need a small van (ie Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Merc Vito, etc) for the period 30 Dec through 3 Jan (thats 5 days). I'll be taking the ferry over to Holland, pick up my stuff and drive back. To date I've phoned well over a dozen rental places and as soon as you mention taking the thing abroad the price more than doubles! I can understand why (further insurance and international breakdown cover) but so far the cheapest quote stands at £389! On top of that I need to factor in petrol (at least two tanks) and the ferry cost (another £238 for the specified period). That would put the total cost in the region of £600 for which we could fly to Dubai for a week - I know which option I'd prefer! Question: does anybody on this forum have any contacts in the van rental industry who can do this deal a fair bit cheaper? Perhaps someone has a van they could let me rent for that period? At this point I'm getting desperate to book something as the reduced ferry rates won't last forever. And I can't book the crossing without having a confirmed van ... vicious circle. I can get a lot in the Zed (had a full sized door in it the other week and a washing machine just the other day ...) but 4 cubic meters is beyond it's capcity! Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Regards, Dan

New S.steel Zorsts
Defo not Mongoose as they only produce twin 3" rolled tips either side. Bore is 2.5". If it's 5" diameter tips then I'm asuming its single tip either side as twin 5" tips would be difficult to fit under the rear bumper without having to cut bits out! Our DTA exhaust tips are twin 4" which just about fits - looks great (IMHO) and sounds luverly! ;) Dan

Latest news from the bodyshop...
Or while your at it get QVR to fabricate a hatch underneath the car so that you can climb in James Bond stylee!! You're "skinny" enough to fit underneath without needing to jack the car up (no offense intended matey! just having fun ;)) I'm really just kidding mate - looks like the car is getting on nicely. I need to speak with you regarding a couple of thing so I'll speak to you later on today. CheerZ, Dan

Can you get a front Splitter for the Z32?
Do you have any pics of said front splitter as I'm sure I know a place that used to do them as well as rear diffusers (they're based in Japan so may take a while to order/deliver). This was quite a few years ago so they may not exist anymore but it's worth a look into. I'll have a look at my records but a pic would be v. helpful. CheerZ Dan
