  1. Of the hoses I listed I've got the following in stock: Brake Booster Hoses (red & blue) IAA Valve Feed Pipe (red & blue) Vacuum Hose Kit (red & blue) I've got an upper radiator pipe in red in stock but would need to order the lower radiator pipe. I'd like to say it's about 2 week's lead time but could turn into 3 if history is anything to go by. I can supply you with any diameter coupler. I just need to know that the outside diameter of the pipe is (the one the coupler is going to slip on to). The throttle body couplers are ID62mm IIRC. Regards, Dan
  2. Hi, I think you'll struggle to find hoses in purple anywhere other than at Do-Luck. None of my silicone suppliers will do colours other than blue, red or black unless I can get an order together that will make up roughly 25kg of silicone (that's the minimum quantity that can be mixed). With regard to NA hoses, I can provide top & bottom radiator hoses, IAA Valve Feed Pipe kit (stainless steel pipe with silicone elbows), brake booster hoses and various vacuum hoses. Unfortunately, I can only get them in blue, red or black. The big intake hoses (the ones that lead from the air intake to the throttle bodies) are not available in silicone to the best of my knowledge. I can do you a set in stainless steel with silicone couplers instead if that is of interest. HTH Regards,
  3. Baz, I work closely with an AP Racing distributor and engineering firm local to me. If you pass me your exact requirements I can make an enquiry on your behalf. Regards, Dan
  4. I've got a couple of sets of rear Porterfield pads in stock an ON SALE! ;)
  5. Yep, this happens to me ALL the time! :( It used to be much quicker but lately 5 days in Customs seems to be the average. Also, as of late it would appear that EVERY parcel I receive from outside of the EU attracts import duty and VAT charges ... Used to be about 1 in 3 but that's no longer the case ...
  6. Could well be one of my premium kits - they come with bracket, etc and can appear to be OEM fit (fyi - our premium kits are in fact OEM equipment for some car manufacturers!) And no, HID's was never an option on UK cars and I believe only the 2002+ JDM cars had them as an option. I used to do quite a few NSX parts but as there was such little demand for them I stopped doing them when I sold the last few parts. What I do have (and which I think your car could do with) are the clear side repeaters! Sold loads of these over the years to NSX owners both here and on the continent. Can also get the various hose replacements in silicone. Other than that I can still get hold of the various NSX parts, both aftermarket and service items. Recently had an NSX order come through for Carbing strut braces - not exactly cheap but excellent quality. If you need anything then let me know, I'm on quite good terms with a number of NSX parts suppliers and could potentially save you some money. I'm attaching a pic of my favourite "widebody" NSX. All the best,
  7. Sorry to hear about and see what damage our UK roads have caused to your car suspension. It is a well known fact that all suspension parts suffer more wear and tear on UK roads than any other roads in the EU. Can't remember where I read it but apparently a study on shock absorbers showed that in the UK they require replacing no less than 60% sooner than elsewhere in the EU. I don't think it is fair to insinuate that Powertrix parts are poor quality. It is unfortunate that there have been a (relatively) small number of product failures but it must be remembered that these parts are designed for use on uprated cars for use on race tracks (ie, where there are no potholes, speedbumps, curbs, etc). The parts work perfectly well for 99.9% of the customers who also use their cars on public roads. However, there are no suspension parts which are impervious to sudden massive impacts (such as hitting big potholes, speed calming devices or curbs). OEM equipment will fail in those instances as well. Powertrix suspension parts are still considered to be one of the best on the market. All parts are carefully designed and extensively tested prior to commercial release. Performance and safety is never compromised by cost factors. No performance parts are perfect and I'm convinced that any other branded components (like SPL or TEIN) would have failed as well under the same circumstances. I hope you manage to receive compensation from your local council. Regards,
  8. Sorry Simon - I was typing my message right after I put the phone down on a customer called Stuart ... My apologies! ;)
  9. Hi Simon, Regardless of what the DVLA says I would still go to the post office and get an International Drivers' Permit - costs peanuts and is done on the spot. Many countries will "officially" accept a UK licence but from experience a lot of the police out on the road do not unless the licence is accompanied by an international permit. If I were you I'd just get one. They're valid for 12 months so you could use it during your other travels as well - IMO money well spent. Enjoy RSA - it's a great place to be! All the best,
  10. LOL! I think that car has one of our DTA HID kits in it! :) (I seem to recall the registration) Congratulations on the purchase - I used to have an emerald green/tan NSX-T back in 1996/97 when I lived in the US. Was one of the first F-matics too. Brilliant cars! If you haven't already, make sure you drop by the NSXCB website and say hello. Friendly bunch and excellent technical advise available. All the best,
  11. LOL - I had forgotten about posting this rant ... but now that I remember it's making my blood boil yet again. No, it wasn't Middlehurst - I do good business with them and they have already sent me the correct part now. I can understand that the dealer/service dept. doesn't want to be stuck with an incorrectly ordered part BUT in this case I actually did the hard work for them and printed off the relevant page from the US FAST system. As some part numbers are different over the pond all I needed was for the local guy to confirm the UK part number based on the information presented to him. It is not inconceivable to imagine him using his other brain cell and look it up in his FAST system and compare the two pictures to confirm that the parts are in fact identical. Anyway - I know it's not the dealer/parts dept. fault as they need to operate according to their rules and procedures but it does grate on me when a little bit of commen sense fails would have sorted this out in no time. Ho hum ... ;)
  12. Firstly, all NA's are going to be off japanese imports as only TT's were sold as UK-spec. Secondly, the mounting points of a NA radiator are different to the TT radiator so you'll need to fabricate some brackets to fit a NA radiator into a TT chassis. Thirdly, the NA radiator is different in cooling capacity so putting it into a TT should not be considered an upgrade or even like-for-like exchange. You are better off buying a proper TT radiator or go for one of our DTA performance radiators (53mm KOYO core, straight fit into any TT and priced at £159.00 plus postage). HTH Regards,
  13. :rant on: Had to drive 30 miles to my "local" Nissan parts department to enquire and order a particular coolant hose for a R35 GT-R. I printed the relevant page and information off the Courtesy Parts site and presented it to the bloke behind the counter. Firstly, he asked what car it was for (despite the page having GTR/R35 plastered all over it). Then he proceded to look gormless and proclaim that without a precise model and chassis number he won't be able to find anything in the Nissan FAST system ... What a bloody load of dogs dangly bits! I know the FAST system quite well and there is no requirement to put in a chassis number and the model number of the R35 GT-R is quite obvious. Anyway - he refused to try and look it up so I had wasted an hour and a half of my time ... Not going back there again. :rant off: Phoned Middlehurst and within 2 minutes they had the correct part number and ordered the part for me ... Sorry for the rant but once again Nissan has proven itself to be completely useless. have a good weekend all! Regards,
  14. Yes, good filters but why not just get the correct filter direct from Nissan? Costs about £7 and is guaranteed to be the correct one. Ask for part number A5208-H8904 and make sure they give you a sump plug washer too. HTH Dan
  15. Hi Jeff, Excellent point! The new so-called Nismo 555cc injectors are actually 615cc injectors (out of a Scooby I believe) and regular 555cc chips will NOT work properly for the new injectors. This is a change that Nismo has kept very quiet about with various degrees of success. To the best of my knowledge there aren't any specific 615cc chips available on the market but DTA-Motorsport have a chip that will work although no guarantees can be given until further development has been done.
  16. LOL - speaking of wide tyres vs snow: Just watched an acquintance drive his MY08 Lamborghini LP640 up his rather steep drive (he took the car to Scotland for New Year's). I've not seen a dirtier LP in my life! Front tyres are around 265 and rears a massive 335. He managed it but only just! Think it was his complete disregard for consequences should it go wrong :) He just powered on up the drive and the 4-wheel drive system did the rest ... Lucky SOB! Even my Jeep Grand Cherokee had a lot of grip problems today. On a side note, have just watched in complete amazement as Barry Chav and Co. tried to go around a corner in 15cm snow with a far too optimistic entry speed. The resultant mess was worth a picture (shame I didn't have my camera on me ...) :) They all got out unscathed though which is the main point. Did they learn something from this experience ... probably not ... :( Be careful out there everyone!
  17. Well, if you want a set of our DTA lines then I've got about three complete sets in stock right now ... ;)
  18. Not sure about the HEL lines Dave but here is how you check: If the braided lines have a MALE 10x1 connector at one end then that'll go straight into the caliper and you can do away with the bent metal hose. If there is a FEMALE 10x1 connector on both ends then you'll need to keep the bent metal pipe going into the caliper. As far as I know, my DTA lines are the only ones that go directly into the calipers but I could be wrong - other manufacturers may now also offer this type of fitment. Hope that made sense. Regards,
  19. I'm HERE! LOL! If these are the braided lines you bought from me then the caliper end doesn't require fixing into place. Remember, you're removing the little bent metal hose that originally went into the caliper (and also houses one of the four fixing points). For the rears you remove the holding bracket all together and there are no fixing points other than at the caliper and at the arch. HTH Regards,
  20. Ant, FYI - you won't find any so-called "off the shelf" chips for anything over 555cc setups. That's because there are too many variables in the setup to account for using a "universal" approach. Your only option is to get the car setup on a rolling road and have a custom chip made to suit your particular setup. John Dixon is probably only one of a few people in the UK who can do this so I would recommend you go down that route. HTH Regards,
  21. Hi Richie, I can get all the required parts for you and I'm based in the UK. I can send you individual prices for parts via PM if you like but we do a "Full Engine Rebuild Kit" which includes pretty much everything you need for a top end reubuild. This is what's in the kit: Eagle Con Rods Wiseco Forged Pistons ARP Main and Head Stud Kit Cometic Metal Head Gaskets Nissan Engine Gasket Kit (minus head gaskets if buying Cometics) Detonation Sensor + Harness S2 PTU Water Temp Sensor + Harness Lambda Sensors (pair) Fuel Rail Temp Sensor Fuel Pressure Regulator & Dampner 120K Mile Service Kit Ancillary Drive Belt Kit Price: £3,380.00 + delivery Additionally available: Heater Matrix Hose Kit (silicone) Water Bypass Kit (silicone) NGK Spark Plugs (PFR6B-11B) PVC Kit Bottom End bearings Hydraulic Lifters Injectors (either OEM or Nismo 555/615cc) 300Degree Fuel Rail Kit (if fitting Nismo 555/615cc injectors) Performance Chip Price on request. Please note that all items are available individually but the above listed "package" price is discounted and already includes import duty/VAT/handling fees, etc. I would be happy to discuss your requirements further with you. I am available either via PM, E-mail: info@dta-motorsport.co.uk or Telephone: 0845 4744-382. Kind regards,
  22. To the best of my knowledge, the RLTC system is wired directly to the ECU wiring loom in the passenger footwell. If there are any problems at that point then there won't be any power to the TC system. With regard to ConZult, if there is a problem in the wiring (ie, because of the addition of the TC system) then signalling to the diagnostic plug may be impaired and hence the (ConZult) system won't register that it is connected. Alternatively, if you're trying to run an official DTA ConZult diagnostic kit through a USB-Serial converter then you may require one of our own converters as some converters are known to cause problems with the ConZult equipment. However, I don't think this is the issue as your TC is also experiencing problems. Try to do a continuity trace on the TC wiring. HTH
  23. Apologies for this blatant thread "hijack" but in response to both Damo J and Steve's interest in HID kits: HID-PRO Conversion Kit (H3/6000K): £91.00 Royal Mail Special Delivery: £8.95 Would also recommend you buy our 6000K Ultra Bright LED's (side lights) to compliment your new HIDs: £12.00/pair
  24. Not just the warranty but also your insurance ...
  25. Hi Shamaz, I'm VERY glad to hear that the system is now working as it should be. It is indeed extremely rare to find that both bulbs in one kit are faulty. As I told you over the phone, in three years of selling these kits it has never happend to me. I get the occassional defective bulb but never two! I suppose there had to be a first time ... I'm just sorry that it was you! Thanks also for your endorsement of me and my company - it is appreciated. In fairness, you were the ideal customer to deal with. Very analytical, logical and above all very patient. So by return I would like to say thank you to you too! All the best,
