  1. Most (if not all) guages will come with the appropriate sender unit. If installing it in the top rad pipe make sure the boss you get matches the thread on the temp sender and beware that most temp senders have a tapered thread. Whenever a customer orders a stainless steel top rad pipe with a boss I ask them to send me their temp sender so I can get my engineering company to match the exact thread. HTH Dan

Dan PS - I was in my silver ZX
  3. Ahhh, yes but you forget - I'm not British. Us Dutch folk actually like to impress the locals with some knowledge of the language ;) Failing that I'll try the slow shouting method of communication. ;) Cheers! Dan
  4. That's an old vid ... car belonged to an exotic car rental club. I'm not surprised this happened judging by the speed he was racing up that street ... you just don't do that! :nono:
  5. Hi Colin, Thanks for your help. I've read your PM and won't e-mail your friend until I get your OK. Won't be til next week now anyway ... Cheers! Dan
  6. 'Ello all! I will soon be off to Kuala Lumpur to attend my best friend's wedding - I am really looking forward to some time away! I am the "Master of Ceremony" and as part of my duties I am giving a speech (well, a few actually). As half the attendees are Malay and speak little or no English I was hoping to pass a few comments in Bahassa. So, to the point: does anyone know someone from Malaysia who would be willing to translate a few paragraphs from English to Malay and possibly coach me briefly on some of the pronounciation? Thought I'd ask here before going down the route of approaching a language department at the University in Birmingham. Any/all help much appreciated! Regards, Dan
  7. Yes, I have. Quite a few years ago Stuart (SMW1) fabricated new metal frames in which I mounted Alpine 6x9's. All fitted well with the exception that I had to hammer the passenger side wheelarch down to make allowances for the speaker magnet. Driver side went without any "modifications" ;) I doubt you'll be able to modify the existing (6x4) metal frame to house 6x9's but making a custom frame up isn't that difficult. Good luck. Dan
  8. The black connector is for the stock water temp gauge in the dash. You can happily run the car with it disconnected - it just won't show on the dash. Got a replacement one from MJP but is a common part on a lot of Nissans so perhaps try your local dealer or even a scrappy. HTH Dan

Probably a "comfort" thing  but I am 100% sure that UK-spec rears have a 45% aspect ratio. ;) Dan
  10. It's basically one chip with two (or more) maps which can be activated via a toggle switch somewhere in the cabine of the car. I know AndyP can do them for you and so can John Dixon. HTH Dan
  11. Alex, I've got a source for Nismo equipment in Japan. Let me know what you're after and I'll pass it on to them. They take their time but are usually pretty well priced. Regards, Dan

Rear tyres should be 245/45/16 Dan
  13. Thanks Greg! Lol - as my wife was away for a few days I've had a repeat birthday today! Not bad - got a lovely pressure washer and some fantastic books on modern architecture and also one on the cosmos (more of a "coffe table" book). Cheerio! Dan
  14. Will do mate - get back to you next week. Regards, Dan
  15. What are you after mate - perhaps I can help. Regards, Dan
  16. My guess is that the screw you are turning is in fact the light alignment screw. What you need to do is remove the corner indicator units (two screws). Stick your hand to where the sidelight/foglight housing is and you'll feel three nuts. If memory serves me these are all 10mm nuts. Undo these and the light housing can be pushed forward and out of the bumper. Then it is a matter of undoing the four screws which hold the light backing to the front glass and this will give you access to the light bulbs. BTW: side light is 501/5W type and fog light is H3 but with a bullet connector not spade. HTH Dan
  17. Hi guys, You know how it goes with a Windows based PC: You're merrily working away when a pop-up screen says there is an update for your MediaPlayer - would you like to download it? Well, go on then ... Download completes, installation completes en then (to see if it all works) I choose to play a video. Oh no sir, no can do ... Before the video plays Mr Gates finds it of paramount importance to check whether the installed copy of XP Pro is in fact a ligit copy. I always thought my install was fully above board but the muppet who installed XP on my PC must have done it with a bootlegged version. He's no longer "in the business" or in the country so can't go back to him. End result - no video playing capabilities at all! Question: does anyone have a copy of Windows Media Player version 10 or 11 which DOES NOT try to verify whether the OS is ligitimate? If so could you point me in the right direction please. Many thanks! Dan "I hate Billy-Bob Gates" Zaat
  18. I'm not "officially" registered to sell 99-spec rear lights but do have them in our product line. Not kept in stock as they don't tend to sell well and cost me quite a bundle to buy. Can get you a price if you like ... Regards, Dan ** EDIT: Just read who I replied to ... doh! :headvswal In any case, if you or anyone else wants a price just let me know.
  19. I thank you all very kindly for your birthday wishes. :) I don't drink beer so had a couple of rhum (Bacardi) and cokes (Cola in case anyone thinks the powder variety ;)) instead! Off to bed now - busy day tomorrow. Cheers! Dan
  20. That would probably have been then JAE was still at Billing!
  21. Ohhh ... I like flattery! (cheque's in the post Si ;) LOL) Thank you for your kind birthday wishes everyone. I certainly feel my age today! Got nothing planned for today as the mrs has deserted me for a business trip :( but has promised to "make it up to me" at the weekend ... ;) Cheers! Dan
  22. Hi, Just to let you know, I have worked with this seller about 4 months ago to try and become a UK based reseller of the kits he advertises. I received a sample kit and was absolutely appalled by the dreadful quality. Not so much the ballast or the bulbs but the connectors. Very cheap plastic was used and the rubber inserts (to make the connection water tight) were torn. Needless to say I chose not to pursue this business. Fast forward to this week. You know that I already sell top of the range HID kits. These kits are far superior in their build quality and operation to any other kits I've had the pleasure of testing. This is of course reflected in the price as the best quality does not come cheap! However, I [DTA UK] will be launching a brand new HID conversion kit at the beginning of April which will carry a RRP of under £100 per kit (delivered)! This is a kit which I am putting together (as we speak) with good quality components sourced from various manufacturers. The kit will carry a 1 year (UK) warranty (both ballast and bulbs) and will be available in H1, H3©, H4, H7, etc fitments. I am testing the final kit this weekend and will then be in a position to commence with the launch as planned on April 2nd so stay tuned! Cheers! Dan
  23. Thank you chaps and chappettes! Another year, another dozen or so grey hair! Cheerio! Dan PS - Happy Birthday to all the other 10 members!
  24. I do stock it but don't sell it on the forum as that is Smithy's domain ;)
