  1. I am absolutely delighted! A very big thank you to Jeff, Jamie and Lynda at ZedWorld for their superb service and hospitality. Jeff and Jamie replaced both of the rear lower HICAS bushes yesterday and sent the car for it's MOT. Passed with flying colours and not even as much as an advisory! Have been having some problems with the car lately: flat battery after holidays, funny gearbox changes, sloppy rearend (car not mine ...) and a leaking powersteering hose (thanks for pointing that out Jamie). Am really pleased the old girl passed! That's six passes in the last six years I've owned her ... not bad for what is now a 17 year old car. And to top it all off, I received an insurance quote through the post today: £198 fully comp!!! It's on a classic car policy and seems to be quite good. Will give it some more thought over the weekend as I've just renewed the insurance yesterday for around £489 (which is already a really good quote compared to last year's premium). Apologies if this all seems irrelevant to everyone - I just wanted to share some good news for a change! Night all! Dan
  2. Interesting ... I just renewed my policy via Adrian Flux yesterday afternoon! JDM Z32 Twin Turbo with declared modifications - no problem at all. Had a great quote as well - beat my renewal (with Zurich Premier) by about £50 as well. Don't know what happened with your quote but I've been pretty happy with Adrian Flux.
  3. I'm looking to do the same in the coming week or so. Did you replace the gasket? If so do you have a Nissan part number and approximate cost please? I take it from the above that you didn't replace the filters just cleaned them ... Regards, Dan
  4. Those are ultra bright orange LEDs wired directly into the indicator circuit. Carefully drill a hole into the headlight insert and fit the LED into a nice bezel. Stick that onto the headlight insert and run the wiring behind the headlight unit. Not a big job but do take your time to do it nicely ;)
  5. Not really but most boost jets are either 7 or 8mm in diameter and therefore a really tight squeeze in 6mm hose.
  6. I'd advise you to use proper 3 or 4-ply silicone tubing as vacuum hose will expand under high pressure and hence loose you some boost. 8mm internal diameter is what you need and I can get that for you in meter lengths (in various colours). Regards, Dan
  7. The reason the connectors are different is that the clear side repeaters are not specifically for the Z32. In fact they are off a Nissan Cedric which was only available in Japan and Asia.
  8. UK-spec: Dip beam = H3 Main beam = H1 Jap-spec: Dip beam = H3C Main beam = H1 HTH Dan PS - I have all the above in stock at a better price than Autobulbs Direct ;)
  9. Hey Leigh, The trip was fab - will tell you about it next time we meet up :x: I'll speak to you soon regarding the angel eyes. Regards to your "better" half as well, Dan
  10. Pretty much as the advise above. I sell quite a lot of these clear side repeaters and often find that the bulb connector either need prising apart or even moving over in order for them to make contact with the bulb. Another thing you can do is to pull the metal contacts on the base of the bulb slightly away from the bulb. This will then guarantee that a good connection is made inside the bulb holder. Polarity is not an issue with these simple (halogen) bulbs. HTH Dan
  11. Hey guys, I remember Cos doing these. Despite the parts being easily available the actual process of getting them fitted to the Z headlights is quite time consuming. The existing angle light ring is bigger than the round bezel on the Z headlight. It must therefore be "shrunk" to fit and this is where it gets labour intensive (involves an oven and very careful cutting ...) To be honest, I don't blame Cos for not doing these because for labour cost alone it would make the conversion unfeasible to offer (financially that is). Guess CJ's car is a one-off! ;) Regards, Dan
  12. Lucky you! We've had the mother of all thunder storms and tropical down pours earlier this afternoon. Direct lightning strikes in the field opposite where I live (bloody noisy affair that ...) and about an inch of standing water ... And they say we're in for some more torrential downpours in the next three hours. Ain't summer fantastic in Blighty!?
  13. Hi Iain - That would be much appreciated mate. Give me a bell on my mobile when you get a chance. Would like to talk about your A/T box. ATB Dan
  14. Thank you very much Mark and Znut - will make the calls later today! Wozzer - I'm not fussed about top speed, just reliability, strength and the quickest shift I can get.
  15. Completely plug-n-play, no modifications necessary to either wiring or bulb housing and thus completely reversible (in minutes!) Kit comes with everything required to fit, incl. fitting instruction specific to the 300ZX. HTH Dan
  16. I got these off someone who was breaking his Zed. I think there are a few people breaking S2 cars at the moment but your best bet is probably AndyZ. HTH Dan
  17. Hi mate, You need H3 fitment for dip beam (and H1 for main beam) regardless of UK or JDM spec. My shipment of £99 HID kits looks like it will be with me late this week/early next week. Still have a few "unspoken for" sets ... Cheerio! Dan
  18. That would be very much appreciated. Thanks mate - owe you a drink!
  19. So do I! And I came here by way of Washington DC, Hong Kong and Marbella! What was I thinking? Oh yeah, my wife is British and lives here so I was probably thinking with the wrong "head" ;) Probably not the last time I'll make that mistake ... We've been seriously thinking about moving ... Dubai is very high on our list at the moment ...
  20. Hi all, My Autobox is shagged (well, getting there shortly) and I am looking to get it rebuild to Fast Road spec with a view to adding the Shift At Will (SAW-II) gear in the future. Does anyone know of a RELIABLE place who can do the rebuild for me. I don't care where it is in the UK as I have a spare autobox to send out. But the company needs to know what they're doing - no back street cowboys who claim the world and then don't deliver. Many thanks for your feedback - much appreciated as always! Cheerio! Dan PS - I am not interested in going Manual so no comments about conversions please. ;)
  21. Hi Si, Yes, it's plug-n-pray. Change the ECU (difficult to get at and a real back killer as you need to lie upside down with your back on the edge of the seat/sill and your head by the clutch pedal) and then the pod on the dash and you should be good to go! I did this to my car about two years ago and it worked a treat. However, I have heard that some people have not been so lucky with the conversion and had to revert back to S1 unit & ECU. Have no idea why it would work on some cars and not on others though. Regards, Dan
  22. Thanks mate - will probably take you up on your offer when I get around to doing some forms ... they're doing my head in and have (temporarily) given up on them. Cheers! Dan
  23. As I'm doing it all myself (and I'm not a web designer) it is taking far too long. But ... I'm getting somewhere now, the majority of the work is now done and I'm close to integrating the shopping cart and payment system. I am hoping to have it all live a week before the ZClub 30th Anniversary Meet at Billing (July 13-15) and announce it officially at JAE the following weekend. Cheerio! Dan
  24. Cheers fella - I certainly wasn't upset about your original post! :) Feedback, be it positive or negative, is always a good thing in my opinion. The website will soon go live with a feature which will allow customers to leave their feedback online - should hopefully be useful for new customers All the best, Dan
