from what i've read/ heard, z1 use the same chip until the injectors are increased, which is 17psi on std injectors and turbos... so im thinking 12psi through slightly bigger turbos should amount to safe air flow rate, im going to get an electronic boost controller and set the max using the dyno, whats the next stage in chips after the zedworld one? i dont want bigger injectors yet though...

wonding if someone can help.... i should be getting zx-tts turbos, which are better then my current ones, now my zeds running a zedworld chip, boost jets @ around 12psi, now i know from the dyno day it ran very slightly lean, now surely bigger turbos means more air so it will run more lean...im not after power really, my questions are: can the map compensate fro the greater air flow? can the std injectors flow enough fuel? and can i run a mapped ecu without the jets? (lower the boost) or will it then run rich? ill be taking it to surrey rolling road at some point after its all fixed up, just trying to get an idea first thanks.

turbo change
how much am i looking at to change my turbos? anyone know anyone in Sussex that can do it and how much? i don't think i can afford it so my zeds up for sale, but i thought id kick myself if i didn't find out.

smoke during idle,
took it apart today to fit the good pcv's once i finally made enough room to remove the breather hoses, the valves appeared to be working correctly and weren't gunked up, at this moment i thought :headvswal:shock::headvswal new turbo time, but as id spent ages getting to them id change them anyway, on removing the passenger side pcv i noticed that the valve has no spring in it!! fitted the new ones and no more smoke, and my vacumme seems slightly more stable too :thumbup: from the sound of it the spring is broken inside the valve, all thought i've just had a horrible feeling, this plenum and valves came off my old zed, which died of a similar fault.... could this valve have done it... :sad: rolandas it might be worth checking yours again, as it wasn't till i removed them it became apparent....

i blew 2 sets of seals on my old s13, both times the intake had oil in it, and car car didn't feel right. and when ever you let off the throttle after boost it would smoke like a chimney, was obvious going down hills, also noticed a slight spike in oil pressure when on boost, i've had nothing like that from the zed, everything is normal, and like i said i have 2 separate exhausts the chances of both going at the same time is so remote. from what i saw the the s13's turbos when the seals go, they either leak into the exhaust directly, leak oil into the intake, or leak oil onto the floor, please correct me if im wrong, but the s13's turbos are just slightly bigger Garrett T2's

dam, i've got a spare pair of known good valves im going to try on mine tommorow, but if its not breather related i have no clue what it could be? its defo blue smoke, and its out of both exhausts, as my zeds exhausts aren't linked (one pipe per bank) and both intakes are clean, if it were a turbo surely there would be oil in the intercooler, or intake pipes, and the chances of 2 valves or cylinder rings going at the same time is very remote, the oils got to be getting into the plenum somehow....

got a bit of a strange fault... i've noticed it before but its never done it more then once every few months, thought nothing more of it tbh, but sitting at a set of lights id get a cloud of blue smoke, then it would go and not return for a few months....? but in the last few days have noticed it more often, cold start, no smoke allowed to stand till heated up, then smoke then clears on boost or driving, no smoke, under vacumme driving, no smoke, hot start,no smoke at first then smoke then clears there is no oil in the intake pipes, car runs and drives like there's nothing wrong it not all the time, today started fine no smoke, then started to smoke as it heats up, then none at all, then after getting fuel at the first set of lights after the petrol station, smoke, then a mile later at home nothing.... im guess its got to be breather related, any one got any ideas tips? is there a one-way valve trick like on the s13's?

broken windscreen
its an autoglass rule, not the first time i've heard it, if there is even a trace of rust they wont touch it... i got a local company to do mine, they put some treatment on the rust and fitted a new screen for 165 inc vat iirc. was a uk blue screen though, jap brown was alot more and a long wait

guess you haven't heard mine then... my current zed's had quad, single, then dual single looked great imo, but the my dual sounds the best... and really didn't like the quad 3 different noises first quad (powerflow), then single (custom), then dual(unknown)

my body shop have quoted 1500 for a color change, but then again my zed needs loads of prep work....

How can I make my interior light come on when...
great bit of advise... i've now got the mental image of a remotely operated thong in my head:wacko::lol: in theory i guess you could, make it come on as the zeds unlocked, but you'd probably have to take the feed from your alarm somewhere, i.e. when alarm is off light is on and vis verse, don't know if you could rewire on of the door sensors (or boot even) to do this , but it sounds like more trouble then its worth personally, or even in a similar way to how some alarms shut the windows for you???

dark purple color codes
i'd heard rumors, something to do with a small current being run across the body to polarize the paint.... in a similar to the way the smartglass works... but not from any reputable sources, i bet that will be one hell of an expensive extra though,and hopefully they wont let Renault near the wiring.... have to say though didn't know it was Nissan developing it... our self healing paint is good though, they even did an i-phone cover in it

my zeds off to the body shop over the next few weeks, and someones just put the idea in my head to respray the whole car... :whistling: now its currently metallic black, but im thinking dark purple, any one know and codes for purples (and pictures would be great) for and solid/ metallic purples, don't really want a pearl.

size and weight of a tailgate?
im trying to get a tailgate posted, does anyone know the rough dimensions and weight of a LWB tailgate? i left my zed on the ramp at work so i cant measure mine :sad: but i know it weights alot lol

strange issue?
right i've got a strange issue, a few weeks ago my zed got towed home as it ran out of fuel, after the light came on 10 secs before ( genuinely ) since then some mornings she'll start up with a misfire??? but it only seems to be when the fuel is low (not quite past the empty line) and its not all the time either just sometimes, ill get to work leave her then a few hours later she starts fine ? any one got any ideas or heard of anything similar, the guys at the garage just keep telling me to get a new car...:mad2:..gits... anyway, one of them recons i should try a new set of coil packs, im thinking i could be a fuel pressure issue or a clogged filter from when it ran out, anyone got any ideas?

Which one would you have?
personally id have an S14a easily get a half decent one for under 3K great fun, fairly quick, and not as bad as a zed on fuel. but failing that an RX-7 all the way,
