if you send me the vin can check if its special or not, although as far as i know there is no nismo Z32, they were too busy with the skylines to bother with Z's back then. there is a few nice parts kicking about thought, genuine or not, if you've got some on there then its still a great find. as for the clocks, there were some special clocks available, not sure if they were nismo or not, in KM but increased the range of the clocks.

Auto zed questions !!!
i hate how slow my auto changes gear and how often it changes, i actually use hold and put in 2ed for all town driving, doesn't go into drive till its an open road, the fastest i think my zed does is manual shift first 2 then drive, in power with o/d off, still miss driving a manual though.

you did the right thing, bought a set of GTR alloys a year or so back, and parcels2go lost them, i was so annoyed, i got my money back but never did find another set of R34 alloys going cheap.

if you can do it yourself then its not too bad, if its passenger side i've a brand new Nissan head gasket you can have for the price of postage, was given it by my manager and already have a pair in my garage,

that sounds just like mine, cyberbean, i had mine on the ramp and found no oil anywhere in the system bar some coming through the egr pipes, so i came to the conclusion the exhaust seal on the turbo was gone, and leaking oil into the exhaust, hence only smoke from warm, and appears to clear under revs, (increased flow of exhaust gasses dilute the smoke so it appears to clear), also found the plugs perfect so no oil was making it to the cylinders will know for sure next month as my turbos are being replaced lol.

The dreaded "is it my turbos?" question!
like car.mad said if depends when it smokes, and if your exhaust has a cross in it, is it from hot or cold? one of my turbos is gone, and i get smoke from 1 bank only on idle, when warmed up, but i have completely separate exhausts. not obviously blue but strong oil smell. mine came out of nowhere too, just started at a set of traffic lights and has slowly got worse. best bet is to change the PCV vales on the plenum, and clear the pipes out, if it stops then great news, good luck.

Car wont start?
id say alarm immobilizer too, had this on my old zed once, for all purposes the battery was fine, lights etc, but when you came to start the battery was just dead enough that the immobilizer thought something was wrong and kicked in.

gtart in Pulborough know there way around performance Nissans, as do austec racing in crawley although personally im having GDA in Tunbridge Wells do the work on my Zed as they build BDC cars, depends on what you need doing really. i think jeffs probably the best for diagnostics etc as he knows the cars so well.

i think that's for an american vin. mellowyellow, JASHET that's not the vin that's part of the model number i.e. heres mine KRGZ32JASHWE7 JDM chasis is 11 digits, somthing like GCZ32-000000, at that's the format all 3 of mine have been. tbh not ever tried to work out what it meen as we only really use the chassis numbers. if it helps, mine is a 04/91 TT LWB Auto in 732(black), so the mine is HWE7, yours is HET ?

Does anyone know the way to decode the vin?
if you want to know something in particular pm me your vin i have euro and jap FAST systems on my computer, the uk ones have some sense to them, JN10RGZ32U0000000 first 3 production region, next 3 engine/body type etc, then next 3 are model, then normally a U not sure what its for, then a unique number for the vehicle.whole vin is 17 digits long, so jn1 - japan production model, org - body type, engine, transmission z32 - model U- ??? 0000000 - unique number however if yours is an import the code makes less sense. gcz3200000 etc... not sure what gc means, z32 model, then unique number maybe we could work it out, uk owners get the first 6 letters of their chassis and what spec you car is.... jap owners sorry we cant play... :(

:offtopic: give 'em both a neg...:whistling: don't know how made them actually assumed HKS didn't make them themselves, they are very different to the NGK ones, at least in style, results might be similar but i like them all the same

im not sure you are paying for the name, the HKS ones are better quality, ngk might be the best std plug but imo the HKS are Superior for tuned engines. although i didn't get any sweets from them.....:no:

im running HKS M401 heat range 8, running toyo fmic, std turbos, induction kit, free flow exhaust, can be a bit spitty at first when cold or after short journeys, but as soon as they clean up she runs sweat and has a really smooth power curve but my turbos are getting bigger soon so should need the better heat range
