  1. I feel left out, another one who missed my zed lol,
  2. It's on an na in the picture but it's the same setup I used on a tt with an fmic but I can't find any pics of the tt. . Not the best pic but gives an idea
  3. Adl have been moved to ebisu d1 so only a couple of stands over from you lot.
  4. Dam I live minutes from Brighton, I'm at jae forgot about the speed trails I always go and watch it.
  5. Been told gates are 24 hour for stand cars with the correct tickets, (emailed the organisers as I want to get there early Saturday now too.)
  6. Lamborghini flame out the factory, as long as it's not excessive, I got pulled by an unmarked car a while ago, they asked me if I knew it flamed, they had a nosey over the car and went off sulking as my zed's 100% legal, even the canards...
  7. Thanks, I have a spare pair of late spec sprockets, if i can find the time to strip it all down I might change them over.
  8. Might sound silly but vtc pulleys? The actual sprocket on intake cam or the thing on the back of the cam? Or have have I misses something? Sorry probably a stupid question.
  9. Thankfully no it doesn't, it's more rattle/ click style noise, as apposed to knocking. Sounds similar to a manifold gasket leak if you know what I mean.
  10. It's relative to revs, so assumed it was engine, it's had a new fly, clutch, spigot bearing, and prop as well as new transmission fluid. Noise didn't change, More I listen I think it could be echoing through the exhuast, but it doesn't do it on the ramp so can't tell
  11. Handbrake it acts like launch control, limiting the revs till you release it, Clutch you can do full throttle gear changes apparently I've never seen it flame from inside, just the look on the car behinds face. I will say, when I first fitted it, the novelty hadn't worn off used it alot, did notice a few degrees increase in engine Temps with the prolonged use,
  12. They have 2 settings, first is max, on mine it's set to 7000, other is switch able either by a switch or clutch pedal switch on handbrake switch, mines set to 3500 on handbrake, They are have there uses, and certainly more fun then castration by masonry hammer
  13. Just make sure you get the right beeR, as some only work with certain makes. Btw mines on a na, not sure if I'd put it on a turbo, Easy to fit, I have mine wired to the handbrake for a sort of noisy launch control
  14. I have a beeR, I like having it for track use, that and my rev counter doesn't work so it's useful to know it's there, And it's childish but there's something satisfying about spitting flames at tailgaters...
  15. Just tried 3 times to record it, there's too much distortion it's no clear enough. It's definitely under load it worse, and under 2500-3000 rpm, and the overrun noise isn't there till revs drop quite a bit, good second after coming off the throttle, Oh well, worth a try, need tovwork out how long it's staying with its current motor, before deciding where to go next.
  16. I'll give it a go tomorrow.
  17. Guess I got lucky then, as the top marks lined straight up, should have said didn't take the bottom cover off, I'll just have to put up with it for now.
  18. Rattle was there before belt was done, and I did the belt, using all nissan parts, and the manual, Had the covers off yesterday putting the springs in, I did check the marks lined up. No error codes, No knock sensor, been bypassed, Thinking on it the cas doesn't look original, but looking at the timing info on the r-vit (constantly plugged into ecu) has alway looked in parameters... Sounds like something for an expert to look at, not sure I want to start playing with my timing, maybe I'll take it to zedworld for it mot next year and have them look at it. Thanks guys.
  19. Hopefully some of the zed experts can guide me here.. My zed has had a rattle since I got it, I'm out of ideas as too the cause now... It's running fine, but it rattles on overrun at the lower rev range, also low in revs under load it rattles up a low speed hill etc. Don't think it's the lifters, as one of my old zed's had them, and this is different, Had brand new timing belt, all pulleys and tensioners, no faults on consult, Thought it could have been vt springs, so just fitted new ones. Didn't seem weak, and we're getting oil, but Made little to no difference, I've checked the exhuast for leaks just in case, there's no heat shields, nothing loose, Doesn't seem to be affected by engine temp, does it all the time. It's not causing any problems, and Tbh the engines only staying for a little while longer, but it's really annoying, Bit lost at where to look next,
  20. Send me the chassis number, I can give your exact build date off nissan system tomorrow.
  21. Mates got one, couple of members of my family own them, they are great, apart from on fuel, none of them have ever broken down, the doors on the back were the main reason they were bought, a sports car that kids can easily get into, and have space, they are no zed, or rx7 but they brilliant in their own right. It's complete chap that they are unreliable, they just need looking after, by design a rotary engine burns a small amount of oil. They use a certain oil, 0w30 iirc, people let the oil run low, use the wrong oil, or miss services, They also forget it's an engine that needs to rev, they don't like pottering round cities they need to be driven... Sorry to jump on this but it bugs me, it's like the people who say zeds are unreliable and overheat,
  22. Ah OK, hadn't taken the coupling into account. I thought it just acted like a dampener, thanks,
  23. Now my argument would be a viscous fan spins based on engine rpm, I thought based on that it would only be pulling the big cfm, at higher rpm, whereas an electronic setup is constant, and when the engine is at higher rpm it's probably moving fairly quickly so would compensate for lower cfm...? My fan is 1800ish cfm iirc, ok just on an na, Don't want to start a can of worms argument, I'm probably completely wrong, but would be interested to know, because it's always bugged me.
  24. Think spal make some pretty powerful fans now, nearly 2000cfm from there latest 16" 10 blade,
  25. Mines a revotec fan, it's was one of the biggest universal fans they did. Was about 150 + a thermal switch, (set to its lowest,) I've had no problems it's on a large alloy rad, but mine is a na, so no hot turbos, not the best in extended traffic jams does climb a bit, but was up to the job on track. I will be switching to a bde water pump, and a second fan once I go supercharged though,
