zed prices rising
I love skylines always wanted an r32 gtr... But it would have to be aswell as a z32, after buying a zed as a stop gap whilst I looked for a good s13 and now completely converted to them, there's not many cars I'd swap mys zed's for.

Oh The Joys of driving in the Wet!!
I have a second car as a daily drive... It's my na... Good tt is under a proper cover and hiding, na loves it all, use it for work, down the shops, trackdays, difference is na cost me £400 tt alot more, and I've plenty of bits for lwb zed's and a bodyshop at work.

You spelt rain wrong... ? Hehe.

intercoolers.
Thanks, they look very similar to z1 ba's but cheaper, didn't know ams did them

Oh The Joys of driving in the Wet!!
It's not drifting... It's crashing with style... My na goes out in all weather, always an eventful drive when the conditions worsen, but love every minute of it

intercoolers.
Really regret selling my ams manifolds... Had said I wasn't buying another tt.... Oops. I only want to buy intercoolers once, so wanted them to be good enough for the later plans, is the no need to go with ba's? Would the reg z1 smic be better?

Tbh I'd like noel's opinion too, especially as I want him to map it after... Don't get me wrong I love the look of fmic, they look mean, but I want the best for performance,

intercoolers.
??? No substitute for cubic inches... The volume of the z1 ba smic is more then our fmic. By about 30% been bored at work today, so did the maths, there are advantages for both just wanted to hear opinions.

intercoolers.
I bought it with the fmic already fitted, and it's the same as the cheap one I regretted fitting to my old zed, did absolutely nothing for performance I fitted it because it looked good and at the time didn't know about better smic , it looks similar to yours spin doctor but wasn't a toyo.

I want to do it properly, doesn't matter how long it takes, if I need to save a bit longer. I eventually want a jimmer engine for it

intercoolers.
Ignoring my zed's fueling and boost issues decided to carry on with my winter plans, Trying to decide on the route to go down, now it got a fmic at the moment, but I don't like it it's a cheap one and it doesn't fit particularly well, So trying to decide if it's worth getting a better fmic, like the autobahn88 ones, or considering going back to side mounts, like the idea of the z1 ba intercoolers and the 2.5" pipe work.. Which would people choose? Other planned mods are 3" elbows and front pipes to match the pg exhuast, new boost controller, selin dual intake and a noz map. This is my second zed and is the project, using the na as daily drive at the moment,

Thanks should have an old manual controller around somewhere. Just though it may have helped, work out if it's an off the shelf or one that's been played with, Either way it's going to be coming your way in the new year.

Thanks for all the help, temp mbc? Will take it into work next weekend to get some of our equipment onto, consult etc, will see if there are any names on the chip/ ecu, need to go down my storage unit to dig out my boost leak tester, as I put it away when I said I wouldn't be buying another tt...

Thought so, my old zed's controllers never went that high. Think I'll replace it with a blitz controller any way as I prefere them, re do all the plumbing and check the turbo actuators.

My boost controller was: 75% was 13.2 psi Gain 18 Start gain 10.5 psi Warning 15psi L 10% It lights up red when you hit the boost limit, as it cuts the boost it didn't do that. I guess the graph would have shown a spike before cutting it too

I thought similar, it took either battery off or consult, to take my old zed out of safety boost, But without boost solenoids how can it be limiting boost? On the m25 it was doing it, intermittently I think the O2 sensors aren't helping with the fueling , just remembered they were disconected when I got it, I've got the green one to play with till I sort this out

Why would it boost to 1bar at one point but 0.6bar the other? Im confused?
-

In case anyone wants a laugh... It's definitely cue the music time, won't be using it again till next year now...
-

Scratch that knock sensor is connected, but there are no boost solenoids.
-

O2 sensors are dead by the look of it not doing any thing, but no knock or boost solenoids, It's odd, boosts the 13psi some times but it did it too me a couple of time on the return leg, just stopped boosting at 0.6, then back to 13 on the next right foot moment

Manual boost controller? Thought everyone preferred electronic ones, If that's the case, I won't bother with another ebc, are there any good manual ones you recommend noel? I'll be getting you to map it, now I've 2 zeds you can have one up there without any rush for it back.

Well we're all wrong.... ... It's a pile of poo... 292.4 bhp...!!! Afr of 10.2 so majorly rich, as boost built, Profec b ebc played up only boost to 0.6bar even though it had atleast 1 bar all the way there, did it to me a few times on the way back too. So now the "good " zed needs to be put right again. Assume the chips at fault for the fueling, but no idea what's wrong with the boost controller...

No they just moved, they're in Farnborough now, not been to their new site yet, It's more to get a before figure so I can start to play with it.
-

All I know is its chipped no idea by who, Can only get 13psi and stable. Max is 14 not sure the profec works properly

Going to surrey rolling road tomorrow with adl racing, It's my new swb, that I'm taking, 13psi, fmic, z1 pg exhuast, chipped, afpr, decat, induction kit, So let's have some guesses I'd like 340+bhp but will have to see
