no the cats are part of the down pipes marty as you can see from this ebay listing. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300ZX-90-95-exhaust-down-pipe-cat-converter-/280534680080?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item41512b8210

Yes You should get a centre section which bolts onto the cats and two rear boxes sections that bolt to the centre section.

At last i have one
Been looking for a flypress for a while and final got one. For people who dont know these are used to bend and punch holes in sheet metal amoung other uses. Ordered some angle iron last week and made and stand for it now ready to rock an roll. Just start my first job for my new press. I have to make 5 floor panels 1200mm x 760 for the local church baptism pool. The pool is sunken into the floor and when not in use is covered with these floor panels. The old ones were made of wood and to heavy for the people to lift in and out so im making some light weight ones out of aluminum. Got a few more jobs lined up and then i might start making a few bits for me zed :thumbup1:

Gearbox trouble
common problem is they get forgotten at service time and never get the filters cleaned/changed. Over time the oil gets contaminated with fiction material from the drive plates and clogs the filter which in turn will cause the valve boby to lose line press which in turn causes the drive plates and driven plates to slip and overheat which in turn causes more friction material to contaminate the oil which results in loss of the high gears and if left other damage. So it can be as simple as changing the oil and filter, a bit more involed a complete rebuild or somewhere in between.

Gearbox trouble
Cheaply depends on whats wrong  Everything you need to know is in the manual and im happy to help if needed. You can test the box after a rebuild with compressed air to make sure everything is working before you commit it to the car.
