  3. Unbelievable! You always get one … Just to put you straight on a few things Zedman or who ever you are... 1, If your talking about the clear corner LED units then you may be interested I knowing that mine are constructed in a completely different way, I have not had access to these or any similar LED units and I have only seen pictures of the clear corner units showing very little detail in the way of circuit design if you must know I used and free online LED array design program to work out the array which is freely available to anyone with access to the internet and a CAD program to design the boards In short this is all my own work 2, As far as I know I have not broken any copyright law by retro fitting a 20 year old light unit. I know you have LED light units fitted already and that you had a go at making them yourself you said that before somewhere in a post.. oh yes here it is posted on the other forum 10/7/10 You said I've already got full LED '99 spec rears on mine. I know when I had mine made they were a biatch to do apparently, and expensive. How much do you expect to be selling these for? So its ok for you to copy them is it??? Then you said on the 10/08/10 I looked in to doing a set myself years ago so I do know exactly how hard it would be to make a design that allows the LED's in to the furthest corners of the light cluster and to design the 'switching' circuit. I gave up and bought a set of real '99 spec, full LED light units. Make your mind up! TBH I can’t work out if it bothers you that someone has done something that you’re not capable of doing or if you’re pissed of about owning an inferior set of LED lights. If Zedman took the time to read my threads about making these then maybe he would have answered his own questions.
  4. Sorry Graham only answered half your question. The circuit boards are made from a copper clad Mylar material (the same stuff that’s used on the back of the speedo/rev clocks in the dash) and mounted on mirror finish Perspex cut to shape then drilled. Martin
  5. umm... indicator is on the bottom but you could change it if you wanted. Yes the LED's used have water clear lenses so clear when off. i'm being lazy now by not reading the manual but is it the EV setting i need to change? May be i should just go find the manual lol
  6. do you mean front and back Steve (full kit)? We should be able to come to a special arangement just for you mate to help with getting your Zed back on the road :wink::wink: Thanks for the kind comments mate
  7. Unfortunately it’s down to my poor camera skills and no understandy the functions. The LED's are so bright that my camera has a problem with it. They are Red on top and Amber on the bottom. Any advise on taking better pictures would be great. Im using a SONY Cyber-shot 12.1 mp
  8. just the one set then? lol
  9. Ok mate The wait is nearly over lol
  10. Like I said if I can get rough idea how many kits I might be making I can work out a price from that. Anybody putting their name down now would not be under any obligation to buy.
  11. should be fine just take your time taking them apart.
  12. thanks mate LED's and a V8 nice lol :thumbup1::thumbup1:
  13. Would everyone interested in buying these rear light LED units in kit form please can you put your names down so I can get some idea of numbers and put a price together. Maybe I can get a discount from my suppliers for bulk ordering the components. Hope that makes sense 1) Bantambunny 2) jaikai 3) Tudor 4) Car.Mad 5) Kaza Steve 6) Al_andthe_beast 7) FunkySi Remind me if I’ve forgotten anyone
  14. I don’t mind supplying the boards (there are six in all 4 LED boards and 2 controller boards). TBH most of the work is in making the boards and most people can solder anyway. There are no static sensitive parts in the Assy the only thing you have to watch is which way the LED's go round. Its very time consuming but the results are worth it.
  15. no problem mate i cant even remember how much it was lol. Glad you got it ok.
  16. I can do these in kit form no problem and would be alot cheaper
  17. I’d better order in some more supplies :thumbup:
  18. be interesting to see
  19. have you got any pictures of them?
  20. :yes: :lol::lol: I've done a few sums and it looks like its going to be around the £300 mark but I haven’t finalised this yet. But its all got to be test yet
  21. Well the lenses on the units i used are well fooked but tthe bases are a1 maybe we could combine my bases with your lenses and make a good set for testing on some lucky chaps car :thumbup1:? I made the input board circuit on a prototype board seems to work ok thanks a lot for your help with that mate.
