Look like i'll have to start prepping the rear spoiler then , the only thing that it doesn't have is the rear brake light and I'll have to incorporate one in it me thinks.Just have to find a slim unit to fit in it. Yep thats what I have done with mine, use the remote to open doors one at a time of course and they have a safety relay so the doors dont open with ignition on. then I used micro switches on underside of wing mirrors which work without remote and don't work when alarm is activated simple really. you get some strange looks lol when putting in petrol . Hi mac nope why what does he want, I spoke to a guy the other day about a zed about manual conversion and another guy called with a zed with a misfire but he was bald but I don't think he was 24 stone matey. ps can you send me that kermit logo its fooking funny as fook. Richard

Oh I forgot, Martinfa the wing mirrors are made by veilside and I believe they are a bit scarse to get hold off since I got mine. Richard

Thanks Jay, And before anybody says shame about the headlamp panel being a different colour I know this is because the vented one has to be resprayed again and i had a slight problem with paint and paint stripper whilst painting the car lol. soon will be done. Richard

Just to add my two pennys worth, when they fitted the alarm they have to fit a solenoid to the drivers door cos it doesn't have one only the passenger side has it . the drivers side works directly of the lock mechanism on the stock nissan central locking system hence both doors won't lock or unlock from passenger side only drivers side(save money for nissan but other manufacturers do use them all round as well) If the solenoid is goosed they are cheap to buy about £7 and easy to fit . Check to see if one of those crappy injector connectors is not fully pushed on to the injector as they sometimes rattle loose when they are old, or u might have get a bad connection use some contact spray. Richard

will try and get some pics up soon prob at week end and i'll post em. rear spoiler I have left on is the standard one for now which i think looks neat especially with the 99 spec light but am not so sure about the veilside one I have some pics of this spoiler in position on a black zed when it was at lukes for copying and we were not sure on it . might do a post and see what feed back people think of it lol. Just A point to check.... take the panel off in between headlights(10mm socket) and check to see if the airflow meter has the wire connected to it as they might have forgotten to put it back on after fitting airfilters. Richard

I've got the full veilside C11 kit not the copy version. the only thing I have not fitted is the rear spoiler as I can't make up my mind about it and its sitting in my garage and laughing at me for spending £450 on it. the veilside kit is good quality but its thinner than the copy version that luke did of mine.and Luke does them half the price. If you want to buy a car to invest money then your on to a loser straight away cos there is no car apart from classics that will hold their value. you buy a car for the fun factor and looks not what its worth imho. My wife was not impressed with me spending£5000 to buy car and £8000 modding it but I could go and buy a new car for £13000 keep it 3 yrs and get £6000 back and have a boring supermarket car. the choice is yours u only live once . ps I told the wife it was a better ride than her lol !!

just had mine decatted with full stainless and the car deffo accellerates better mind you It has the ballance pipe in as well, had the full system made on car at Ascars of sheffield well impressed.

not sure how that can be affected by changing battery if the alternator is putting 14.4 volts in a dead battery the voltage would surely not drop, unless there was a short in the cells maybe?

Well my Zed is on the road t&t and running like a dream not bad to say its been in so many bits for 6 months. Just got to watch out for speed humps lol with the veilside kit on its low .mind you I have had some fun with the blitz sbc id controller, car goes like fook!!. Happy Zedding.

Well I just had to tell something good about a Zed for a change. my cars been stood in my garage in bits for 5 months and I turned the key to start it (charged battery up first) and it fired first time FFS what a car lol....Ad forgotten how sweet it sounded yeeeeeehaaaaa!!! (well until oil got round tappets lol)

here's a easy cure for your sticking arial, get some wet and dry about 800 grit and polish the antenna up with it to clean all the crap off it. then get some pledge or type polish and polish it up. try a feew times to make sure you get all crap off and that should cure ur arial unless its got a kink in it.

why don't you use the c11 skirts as luke does them and i think they are better styled as they don't look too over the top.

what about fitting the x pipe to ballance the exhaust, am led to believe this is required when decatting and fitting a new exhaust as it helps with the power and flow of the gasses.thought I'd ask cos am having a new system fitted next week and thats what i got told was a good mod on a zed.
