  1. I don't think you can drive Fiat Pandas any way other than gently can you?!
  2. The funny thing was, her garage un-seized it and it ran fine from that day forth! Lucky cow...
  3. There's a girl who used to work here who came up to me one day and said "My car ran out of oil 2 weeks ago, and it didn't start this morning. Do you think it'll have done any harm?" :slap: 'Nother disclaimer... I'm not generalising the female population by this single (but true) experience...
  4. Not far from me is the Hogs Back Brewery- they do wonderful, wonderful, tasty beers and best of all you can buy the same grog from them direct as you get at the pump. And I like whiskies.
  5. The first car I ever travelled at over 100mph in was my Uncle's Capri 2.8i. I remember turning around and watching my Dad's Astra 1300L become a small white dot behind us... aaaaahhhh happy days!
  6. I reckon the original MR2 pic actually has a Koenig Competition Evolution body kit... and that looked a bit of a mess too, albeit a very powerful and expensive mess!
  7. Mine kept doing this and it turned out the steering rack bushes were knackered. Less likely to be the problem, but worth a thought...
  8. Make sure you're armed with assorted socket extensions and UJs, plus a 6-foot long bit of pipe. At least that's what I needed to get mine out! Mark
  9. What-ever you think of doing to break the deadlock there's bound to be a forum to sort out people in your locality (e.g. http://www.bikemagic.com Mountain biking does it for me :) )
  10. Ryan- are you diversifying...? LOL http://www.ztech.com/
  11. Scratch that, I just found it!!! :slap: :headvswal :D
  12. When I had Windows 98 on my PC it would shut itself down automatically. Now I've upgraded to XP it's stopped doing it! Can't find anything in Help, as per usual. It's bugging me, anyone know how I can make my machine do it?! Mark
  13. Not an expert, but it probably affects exhaust note rather than performance. Dual more likely to have a rumble, and single more likely to have a sporty, er, sound. Any help?! Probably not! :slap:
  14. But I think that was about 2 years ago! :slap: Happy to be proven wrong tho :) jonmoore172- sorry bud, I never sent you the details did I? I'll dig them out...

For me, November's right out, and December is likely to be out, leaving next year as the best bet. Don't want my vagueness to mess up the poll though, so I'll keep an eye here and see if I can make whatever you do! :)
  16. I was stopped at some lights (pedestrian crossing), and happily burbling away. A mum was crossing the road with her small kid toddling along beside her. He takes one look at my car, and just falls over on his face LOL  Even when she was trying to lift him onto 2 feet he was just staring at the car, unable to control his limbs. I'm still giggling about it...
  17. 'Fraid the service manual agrees with Andy! Tried blanking off the damper- still overfuels like a nutter. Ho hum. Well it wouldn't be a Zed without a really annoying thing that you just can't quite find out what the problem is... :slap:
  18. I'm trying to sort out my overfuelling too- but I notice that BlackMagic lists the fuel damper as being on the right side as you look at the picture, whereas AndyP says it's on the left. Is this car orientation vs picture orientation, or is one of you wrong?! ;) Mark
  19. Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but after you've reset the ECU, should you drive in any particular way in order to get the best performance in the long run? E.g. not booting it for the first 10 miles, or not trundling around at 1500rpm, or anything like that. Cheers :) Mark
  20. If he gets stuck drag him with your mouse... http://www.yeeguy.com/freefall/

Yep it's not too bad, providing the window can wind up and down... :headvswal

A spanking idea!!! :hyper: I can make most days except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, given enough notice. Which at the moment seems to be about 2 months!!! But then we are entering the Xmas zone... MArk
  23. My dad loves it! He's always loved cars but when young he was too skint and sensible to get one that's much fun. His one discretion when he had a bit more cash was a Cavalier GSi 2000 when they were new, and from which he developed his digital acceleration problem (damn good fun it was tho). By his own admission he says he's a bit past it now, so he went for a Jag S-Type and is quite content :) I'm popping back over their's on Saturday- last time my dad commented he didn't hear me arrive... now I've got my new zorst on, I don't think he'll have the same problem!
