Headlights
i changed my first jap head lamp bulb at the weekend...went to harry's got the bulb for £4.50...then did a mod for the missing earth wire using a live terminal fuse holder section of a 13 amp plug...the open legs (where the fuse usually goes) clipped tightly over the UK spec bulb housing making a excellent earth then made up a short wire running from the fuse holder into the earth on the headlamp connector then taped with insulating tape... pity i couldnt take any pics to show how...but for speed and those who aint got a soldering iron its very easy and can be used the next time a bulb blows just pop off the fuse holder and clip onto the new bulb

Um bungo
if you can be bothered to click the link it goes like this......ahem (clears throat) Way down deep in the middle of the Congo, a hippo took an apricot, a guava and a mango. He stuck it with the others, and he danced a dainty tango. The rhino said, "I know, we'll call it Um Bongo", Um Bongo, Um Bongo, They drink it in the Congo. The python picked the passion fruit, the marmoset the mandarin. The parrot painted packets, that the whole caboodle landed in. So when it comes to sun and fun and goodness in the jungle, They all prefer the sunny funny one they call Um Bongo!

strips peeling
the black strips which run from along the sides of the windscreen up onto the targa's are peeling off showing stainless steel underneath...any ideas on difficulty in getting them re-done... seem it could cost a bit for something so small or has anyone just peeled the rest of the black off leaving shiny strips...if so does it look worse better? cheers

Reading rail crash
some good points above...i used to travel into the smoke (London) every day via train and to be honest it was the crashes which stopped me from working there in the end i got 4 kids to consider...the jitters its sends through the rail drivers and their families must be 100 times worse...most worrying of all are the vandals who put stuff on the line or hang/chuck it from bridges...oh what fun (not)...i cant believe some people can be so reckless but it happens all too often without the media coverage if only because a driver is killed or injured and not any members of the public.... as regards this latest one tragic accident or selfish act? we may never know what went on for sure...that gap in information has to be filled by hungry news groups so they make or talk it up to the point we cant believe a damn thing they write...i hear he is constantly being referred to as a loner on news reports....?!! so what just cos he dont go out or have dinner parties its being inferred he's mentally ill...very easy shot especially when they're dead

What great Rock gigs have you been to
went to many gigs ala rock gods....madien, crue etc during the 80's...at the same time got into the whole hip-hop def jam mixing bit...missed Fresh 87 for those who know...but saw the first ever def jam tour...ll cool j, beastie boys (pre licensed to ill) whodini and run dmc...later on jungle brothers mantronix and ice t...still kept up with the rock gigs..stood me good for working in music publishing a few years later maddest thing i recall was a band who had a dwarf for a singer who was tossed into the drum kit as an encore during the seventh son maiden tour and the sight of tommy lee in his mobile drum kit....anyone seen the school of rock film yet...?
