  8. my import had jap service history which tallied with mileage however anyone wanting to scam a high miler it would lob the book which showed that and clock it...still lots of investigations by OFT etc show it goes on all over the UK...so look for other signs and inspect carefully...IIRC lots of 60's classic sports didnt even have tacho's so inspection is everything...more so if you spending lots of hard earned
  9. yep...proof is old measurement re the heat flame when burning the alcohol..IIRC highest by vol was Sangsters White Lion Rum @60% vol....neat its undrinkable IMHO unless you happen to have been a meths or metal polish drinker previoulsy :hurl: have one on me....happy xmas http://www.drinksmixer.com/ :duffer: :duffer:

  13. sound like a pot noodle ad.....not 100% but it fits their warped sense of humour
  14. i dont think the ticket you got could be enforced in the same way official local authority parking fines are issued i.e. via the TEC at the northampton county court...it is more likely they would file a small claim...if you dispute it you could get your say in your local court or via the claim form...then again they may drop it as per the question of legality of charging folks for parking over a white line in a private place
  15. was this on a public highway?...or some private car park/road...? as to the dvla giving out details they may be able to make the list avaliable to authorised bodies not sure if this extends to private ticket companies....but if you're worried phone them (DVLA) and ask...if it turns out to be BS then call trading standards about the ticket
  16. link to the madness of a USA lawyer who sues his own govt  http://www.suetheterrorists.net/
  17. yep if it aint your tube...(which it prob is TBH)....look at the advanced monitor settings under control panel...make sure the hertz value is correct.....and deffo take extra care re the shock if you take the back off....when they bite it can be bad
  18. sad but too true i feel....after previously working in London for over 10 years i never forgot the kings cross fire everytime i went through the place...people got off trains, ignored platform staff, dis-regarded announcements and ripped through taped off stairs and escalators...calmly went to their deaths in the ticket hall above...probably thinking its only a false alarm too
