  1. nice tidy looking zed there bud....as per gumball & Joely... the wheel setup is gonna be viewed as very very naughty here in the UK as they stick out past the bodywork...as and when you get here i hope the insurance is kind to you what with it being a left hooker...i'd think the situation with the price of zeds over here being so cheap it makes a lot of sense to think about selling your one and buy a right hand one in the UK...also if your drivers license is US get tested to UK license asap as you'll get caned by the insurance even on a UK car
  2. just to let you peeps know Lucas semi-synth ATF is very good value from this man he even did the delivery for just £5 on 12 bottles it worked out half the price of my local motor factors....apparently has supplied a few zeds...if your a manual its still worth keeping a note of his details for he does all sorts of car consumables mail order 01909 477955 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230029344253 http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Dukeries-Engineering-Ltd cheers
  3. just down the road from me...opened up this week so i stuck me head through the door they was working on a lambo not sure what they charge per hour & i'm not sure the mech's are using the proper safety overalls ...but hey ho
  4. slow and steady would be my opinion....if you give the caramel wheel too much revs you'll burn / heat up the paint surrounding the glue...i'd think a variable speed drill / angle grinder is a must to do that job right
  5. not ever removed a rubber spoiler but if the black sticky stuff on your tail gate is anything like the sealer around the brake lights i'd try turtle wax bug n tar wipes / spray to shift it....worked a treat when doing my rear lights had black gunk all over the lights n body work as its a waterproof low heat high tack glue...gets everywhere horrible stuff but soon shifted with the bug n tar stuff
  6. i know that feeling...good news bud
  7. qatar....the whole place floats on oil i think? get a spade man...:D
  8. price wise oh i'll say @ 70,000 euros
  9. power steering pump could be on its last legs hence the wheel feeling hard to turn...i'd replace the aux belts at the same time...in a perfect world do a cambelt change if you dont know when it was last done...re the main seal its a good job he put cheaper oil in seeing as its all gonna come out again :D...get underneath with a torch check for yourself just to make 100% its not dripping down from higher up and then being flicked about...get familiar with the bits and bobs useful picture link here....check the coolant if its brown....drain and replace with a 50% solution i.e 1 part water 1 part concentrate...overheating is the big zed engine killer happy zedding mate

  12. > Hi everyone, There will be a garage sale on Saturday, 2nd August 2008 at my place. (If you're going to come, let me know and I'll give you my address and the directions). A bit embarrassing really, but because of my current situation, (debt, petrol prices, electricity increases and living expenses, etc.) I'm finding it a bit difficult with money at the moment. I've decided to have a garage sale and hopefully I'll make some money to help cover costs. > > Desperate times call for desperate measures!! I am sure that I will > get out of this mess sooner or later but in the meantime... > > I've taken a photo of my stuff (see below) if you see anything you like, please > let me know as soon as possible so I can save it for you, assuming the > price is right. > > Hope you can make it! >
  13. 8k...maybe brought his own boat to sail across the atlantic :D...either that or the insurance premium and duty he paid at customs was the reason
  14. dont worry bud most of us dont know what he means most of the time ;) :D i guess darkside meant to type clocks...but was tired or drunk or both...quite common on here after 10pm :D congrats on the new car...hicas prob just needs topping up...smoke likely to be the rocker cover leaking, quite common...shaking at certain speeds is usually propshaft bearing...subframe or engine mounts etc etc but could be wheel related i.e. uneven tyre pressure, balancing, warped discs possible. cheers
  15. i'd start by giving it a good service...clean the airways...sensors...check timing...tps...idle etc...could be that both your O2's are broken...stick it on a conzult
  16. as i wrote above "big thanks to all those who helped out with bits"....that means paul from SWZ :p:D
  17. almost didnt Mark...the O2 sensor was failing the lambda emissions until i pointed out to the man its a non cat test...he got out the brand new MOT book delivered this week and said....bloody hell you're right not listed :D
  18. well after 2 years stuck in various fields unloved and slowly filling with water....she passed into my hands and passed the MOT...big thanks to all those who helped out with bits and advice....special thanks to Topless, Sussex Stu & MTL...cheers guys
  19. mine had come off....and consequently soaking the passenger footwell when washing the car / raining etc (can be mistaken for leaking matrix)....saw a post on how to reconnect the tube it looked a flipping long job...glove box off etc etc so came up with another quicker way :D get some washer jet tube @ 5-6mm in diameter, a couple of meters length should be plenty pop off the side indicator you'll see a black hose poking downwards into the wing this is the outlet pipe which the targa drain connects to...get some long nose pliers and gently pull it out poke the new washer tube through the black hose and into the hole it was covering....keep feeding it through until it appears in the footwell...helps if you take the side footwell cover off (2 screws) to see where it is now pull the targa drain pipe cover off this is the one which runs down the windscreen from the roof to the dash...remove the foam which grips the tube in the corner of the dash as well...then pull the drain tube out now my new washer tube was stiff enough for me to feed it upwards through the dash...but you could drop a piece of wire down and pull the tubing up whatever is easier the slightly smaller washer tube now can be slid into the larger targa drain tube..obviously tape or glue in place for a tight fit pull the slack out of the pipe...resite the foam, covers and black outlet pipe..trim off any excess pipe so it pokes down into the wing and job done in 20 mins :D
  20. got that beat....chain pier Brighton...October 1833 when the pier itself was struck by lightning resulting in a disastrous fire
  21. we started this trend.....(west pier, brighton):p:mac1:
