T-shirts for Billing?
Im sorry dude , but if being around a long time is a pre-requisite to having an opinion , then Im sorry I have one. :nelson: I was just having a bit of a leg pull, but there ya go. :mac1: As to the shirts I wasn't saying that I should have a design especially printed ,or that everyones different ideas should all be printed. I was just saying that the shirt that had red over grey just seemed to allow the lettering to dominate the logo, thats all. I am happy to go along with the majority since thats democratic, And I quite understand the logistics and costs of screen printing in more than one colour, having arranged something similar for another type of event. More power to yer elbow for organising such a thing in the first place , I like the designs otherwise I would not consider placing an order. And I also have some small experience with Graphic Design too amongst other things. :duffer: :duffer: :D :D

T-shirts for Billing?
Then Black on Black is out of the question  Ill still have an XL, whatever the colour, its just that Graphically the car in a slightly brighter colour than the lettering would look better. besides the club logo should stand out a bit from the field, the light grey logo with bright red lettering , would just be better the other way around - try it. :D

South East - Bromley meet ? gauging interest.
 noticed a few peeps in zds around the Bromley area, how about a meet at the Pickhurst Tavern in Pichurst lane , during the week (thats near Bromley) it has a big pub, with a large car park reasonably well lit. Just a thought as we seem to have no close meets set up in the SE area

Black Metal Trim Fade
I used humbrol matt black modelling paint and touched in the areas where the surface had come away. Mine used to have black tape but I thought it looked a bit tacky close up. worked ok, but removing them and painting them would be the best bet . :)

Please Post problem resolutions
Having sifted through the advice section, its great to see so many suggestions of possible causes of problems, but the biggest lack of information is what finally cured the thing. Please if you get a result and someones advice pays off, post it on the end of the thread so others who may be experiencing the same circumstances have a chance of a fix without going through all the agro of following every piece of advice until they get the same result that you got by doing the same thing, could save a lot of wasted time and effort. I do like to get to know the ins and outs of my car but results would make it so much easier sometimes. Ta very much.

JEZZ S13 ;'I'm not a cheque book mechanic' LOL, neither am I mate, :nono: having spent 5 years working for Nissan, but I do not have the equipment to do some things , like a consult, or a 4 poster ramp to get the box out, and I'm not digging a hole in my driveway to use as a pit, unless its to bury whats left of my S13 in to save the council the bother of taking it. And the Z engine is a somewhat tighter fit under the bonnet than the 200sx, which has enough room for a Japanese mechanic and his 3 best mates to live in, with room for guests. Anyways when you buy a Z you automatically get your free blankety blank cheque book and pen, its standard equipment. its found just behind the towrope next to the cotton gloves. :duffer:

Replacing PCV valves and hoses
You need a short extension with a universal joint in the middle, then its difficult but can at least be done. personally I found the pass side one much easier to do.

Thanks to SE .
Got my Z back from SE on Saturday, everything completed as promised and the car running really well, and a darn sight better than it did before. Shows up all the local Nissan dealers to be a bunch of no necks, since they could have had the work but turned it down as they are affeared of 300zx's. Injector looms replaced, o/s lambda sensor fitted, coil connectors replaced, new TPS set up , rear main oil seal and sump plate, replaced/ re-sealed and Z centre rear spoiler fitted and sprayed. Me Very happy with all the work done. So a Big thanks to Pete and Alan and the techs for putting the smile back on my face.

Car is OFF THE ROAD!!
Dont we know it, I drove mine for 4 days after purchase, its now at SE, has been for a week nearly , evidently the running problrm that occured after the pas belt snapped is done, but the rear main is still to do, still do not know whether the car will be back for the weekend. Hopefully they will be phoning today to let me know the score. We live in hope (of a lottery win)

Rip-Off Garages
Having worked in the trade for over 25 years, I have to agree its all true, and that makes me very sad, techs who dont give a toss and are bonus driven to extreem, managers who encourage rip off britain and want to glean every penny from the unsuspecting, usually trusting customer. Big manufacturers try to be all about customer satisfaction and right first time, but even thier franchised dealers piss it up the wall in the name of profit. I have actually resigned from firms because of thier less than savoury practices. If you find a dealer who returns the trust you place in them - then tell someone else so they can benefit, same goes for bad ones. A good garage that is honest and truthful is very hard to find , but once found is worth its weight in gold.

Missfire- still
Spent the whole weekend working on the zed I purchased from Arthur a few weekends ago, which despite being a lovely car has skinned my knuckles enough, hwoever fitted the engine must have been ghenghis Khan and his brother , 1 non of the spring clips on the injector plugs were in place, so they were just push fit, the rubber intake pipe had the jubilee clip missing from the front end and the rear was loose, so was the double clamp on the lower end of the metal pipe, the story was the same on the other side, except that the front end of the metal pipe was oval shaped with some not so pretty hammer marks on it, several of the vac pipes were split , cut, or unclamped. the TPS is knackered, and set completely wrong ( suspect this is a major missfire cause) also the o2 sensor on the o/s has failed. The o/s PCV valve was blocked but the n/s looked new. PCV valves are not so hard to do all you need is an extended socket and a short UJ socket extension, on the nearside remove the battery to gain access, and on the o/s possibly the vac hoses and wiring to get the socket in, basically make room for youself. the o/s one is way harder to access but is not too big a problem. took me less than an hour to do both, make sure you have replacement PCV hoses before you start , they will invariably break/split on removal. So far ive replaced all the vac hoses that were split, tightened or replaced all the clamps, replaced the PTU, re taped the wiring to the injectors. Its off to SE next weekend to have the new TPS fitted and set up the new o2 sensor fitted and the wiring sorted, as well as the rear main oil seal replaced. They are fitting a replacement spoiler ( purchased from the zed centre) whilst its over there. I am hoping that it is going to be sorted and remain so for a while, as on the few occasions I have driven it I ve really enjoyed it. Advice is :1) nothing is as straightforward as it first seems, apart from the PCV valves which were an easy job. 2) dont give up on what is basically a sound car. 3) nothing is insurmountable 4) take the time to learn when your in the midst of it 5) Don't Panic.

Darren from Nissan Strood
You talking about Darren H, used to work at Beadles in Sidcup, before moving to Ancaster. If thats him I knew him quite well, top bloke when it came to zeds, one of the top flyers as far as hi techs were concerned, never had any problems with him as a work colleague or privately. He knows his stuff and he knows it well.

Help REquired URGENTLY
Ok , got hold of a new PAS belt today, found that the PTU was quite corroded and the terminals very iffy, cleaned them as best I could for the second time, and now it ticks over at 500 rpm, So I ordered a PTU replacement from Courtesy Nissan in Texas. cant be having shagged wiring and terminals wrecking the idle stability can we. Now got to cut my hands to shreds again fitting this poxy belt. Age is relative, its how young you feel, like most things my Z feels new but its bones feel old. pcv valves on order too. :)

Help REquired URGENTLY
Looks like it may have been the PTU as I took it off and cleaned the terminals, about 2 attempts and she started, but she is running hot, the engine would have fried eggs after about 5 mins of running. Im off to get a belt this morning for the PAS, so I can take her for a run. THe other bloody annoyance is that it looks like the rear main oil seal has gone to boot. so it stank of burning oil , on further inspection the gap in the bottom of the bell housing was dripping. dont ya just love it its either  or  or :duffer: or
