Red Z Croydon
Hence the plate A1, cool. my car is recognisable as it has quadlights on the rear (enzo style) and some small flames under the wing mirrors. Saw a dark blue metallic Z in Mayo Road in Sydenham two days ago, and a maroon one in south Croydon last week.

It won't stop me from continuing to subscribe becuase of a key ring, but overall satisfaction can become tainted by the smallest of things, as anyone in the service industry will know. But sometimes its the small things that count to many people, as it shows up whether people really care about thier support or not, broadly speaking stickers and fobs do not matter that much but it has become an expectation that has not, for many, been fullfilled, its about belonging and being proud to belong to a club that serves its members well. which on the whole it does and very well indeed. The devil they say, is in the detail. Now i'll go and get a cup of tea and not post on this subject again.

Sorry for the delay.
Still waiting for the Z key ring, think Id better get it gold plated when it arrives, since they must be rare. Still we live in hope.

Sorry for the delay.
PM'd mtl in April May and August, all still un-read. May not win any pals this way mate. Whats the point of asking members to PM when they are not even read. Common courtesy would dictate at least visiting the mailbox at least once in five months. Why did no one step forward to take over to help him out if there were difficulties- this has upset a lot of people and its no way to carry on. Lets see a rapid improvement in membership packs and responses. Im sure it can all be sorted out, but what a shambles. :smash:

Dodgy Door Lock
been there -done that - only needs the door handle removed - no glass out etc. found the bracket was fractured, someone should have made it out of metal!. suspect it broke due to the stress of an after market c/lock actuator that came with the alarm. Still so long as the c/lock works off the fob - who needs a key - right(yeah right, some hope)

Sorry for the delay.
external for me please, and a key ring for renewal as promised. cheers Kenny

How many people went to JAE ?
I was there Sat from about 1.30 till sunday , with my daughter. She enjoyed the whole weekend. As did I. What a blast- only got 3 1/2 hours sleep on Saturday night/sunday morning, though. How she slept through I will never know. Nice to put names to faces, We need to do this sort of thing more often, that way faces become friends. ( thanks for dropping the music for half an hour so she could get to sleep by the way) Auto box developed a mind of its own on the way home but it still got us there :D

Stickers and Membership Numbers
This seems to be getting to be a bit of a problem for those of us who have renewed and new members - when is it going to get sorted. I know stickers and key rings are not the be all and end all of membership- but a promise is a promise, and when people are getting nowhere its time we got a full explanation of why and an immediate solution- this has been going on for too long.

JAE.....Who's going???
I will try to get over there on Saturday- so save me a spot if you can. Might bring my daughter along for the day. Have to see how it goes though.

Club collection for Kenny
Thanks everyone, The funeral was very well attended with 250-300 people , it was a very moving and compassionate service, both my children and my mother accompanied me both to the church and to the crematorium. The Flowers the Clubs sent were beautiful. It was very difficult for me to follow my Ruth out of the church in a coffin. especially since the last time we left that particular church was hand in hand and full of hope, having just got married....the service at the crematorium was well handled with all my wishes being carried out. Ruth was lowered to the sound of a Celtic lament- "Here I stand" by Iona from the album 'beyond theses shores'. Special thanks to James, - it was good to meet you, and thank you. It was very good to see Paul and Lorraine (from The SXOC)at the memorial/thanksgiving service, It was a very special time, I had displayed our wedding outfits, and a montage of things from Ruth's life, from her early college days, the jewelry she designed and made, through to the present. Her singing group performed a song and one of her dance colleagues did a veil dance, the evening was interspersed with poems and, also film of her on Songs of Praise a few months ago when she was interviewed by the programme for mothers day. She was a talented and dear woman who was selfless and loving. We will all miss her, but your kindness has made that loss somehow more bearable than it otherwise would have been. Both the Cards of Sympathy and your posts and the posts of the SXOC were displayed. Those words and your compassion will never be forgotten. Kenny_S13/KennyZ I copied this over from the SXOC website- my sentiments are the same for both clubs - Thank you all.

Club collection for Kenny
As I sit here and read the comments, and try to prepare for the funeral tomorrow, and gather myself, I can only express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all that the Club's have been doing. My children will both accompany me to the funeral , which is a descision I left for them to make with my blessing. For us to recieve such support at this time is a wonderful gift that is warmly and humbly accepted. Just so you are aware the funeral is at StPauls Church Brackley Road Beckenham at 2pm, with a family committal at beckenham crematorium at 3pm. The church will provide refereshmentys after the service and I wil be returning to the church after the committal. There will also be a memorial service at greenwich south street baptist church on the 8th July at 8pm onwards. Once again with our sincerest appreciation God bless you Kenny , Jessica & Tobias.

I have some very bad news to share
Yesterday afternoon my wife and I were travelling in convoy on the A roads just past Salisbury plain, when a Pheasant flew into the windscreen of my wifes primera (she was behid me) she instinctivly swerved and collided with an oncoming car. Which resulted in her being fatally injured. My 4 year old son was in the back seat in his child seat, and was virtually unscathed. I ran back and pulled the window out shattering it and forced his door, I managed to release him and get him out and back to my car with his 7 year old sister. Then I and a first aider tried to keep my wife alive , but she was to badly injured and losing to much blood, she had stopped breathing as the emergency services arrived, She was unconcious throughout ,there was nothing we could have done. The driver of the other car was also killed and his wife was critical last night. I have lost my most precious companion and my greatest love but I am thankfull that my two children are still with me. 14/6/2005 Thank all of you for your kind words and offers of help, it is words like this that give me and my young ones strength. We sat and read many of your comments last night. So many of you I dont even know God bless you. The events of saturday I shall never forget, the people at Salisbury District hospital were so compassionate to my children and I and so supportive. At about 10.30pm we went to see Ruth in the chapple of rest and my children at least got to see her one more time before we came home. Th epolice have told me that the Lady in the other car came out of critical and is expected to make a full recovery Thank God. The police also passed on the other family wanted to say that thier thoughts and prayers were with us at this time - which is amazing considfering what they must be feeling.
