  1. Low fluid Steering wheel not on straight Faulty sensor ?
  2. I remember trying to test someone else's conzult on my laptop, they had bought a new USB converter and couldn't get it to work. Every time we tried a different combination of the 2 consults and 3 converters ( and possibly different USB sockets ) it added one to the virtual com port. We had to check the com port conzult was looking at was the same as the virtual one the laptop assigned and change them to match. I also think I remember having to install the converter drivers separately for every USB socket or I had to remember to use the right one
  3. Every time you connect a different consult or different USB to serial it assigns it to a different virtual port

  5. The girls at work do insanity I get out of breath watching them every day
  6. Get a long screwdriver. Put the tip on the injector, stick your ear on the handle. Try a working one first so you know what it sounds like and dont think i'm winding you up

I'm still quietly chuckling to myself about mikey's bits and the image i have....... Somewhere in a secret underground bunker the 300zx comittee are gathering for a top secret meeting about mikey's bits, they arive individually, slipping in one at a time wearing various discises, giving the code word and the secret handshake. " right guys, item 1" says one committee member, slaping a cane on a large exploded diagram of a 300zx that is pinned to the wall. Meanwhile , in mr bean's breakers yard, in his dodgy portakabin office, there is mikey scratching his head " darn, i've already sold 3 right hand thingamybobs, going to have to pretend this one is a left hand dooda" Note, the above story is just the voices in my head , and i do not believe it resembles the situation in any way ( like they all havnt got better things to do ) but i found it funny. Probably just me then, i,ll get my coat

well i thought your coment about counting mikey's parts quite funny
  10. The turbo bar has extra take offs for turbo things, which you would need to cap off It's the curved one at the left hand end of your picture for the clutch
  11. The turbo manual balance bar has an extra take off for the clutch vacuum, therefore you wont find it on a na engine. Simplest way is to T piece of the brake feed, make sure as a minimum you fit a one way valve after the t piece, or a clutch booster failure also kills your brakes
  12. Also you may still be slightly on boost when you drop the clutch. Therefore without a tank you can get different amounts of assist each time you use the clutch. Also some people who have deleted it report a pulsing, which was rectified by extending the length of the pipe
  13. series 4 clocks (and i think series 3) use surface mount components on the pcbs and everyting is different to series one and two (ie circuit, mounting, shape of dial, plugs, etc)
  14. Does it look like this..........
  15. I'm going off roading that day, unless the land rover is still broken, in which case i would be up for it, unless the zeds are both broken
  16. Or the idle valve at the back of the engine sticking, try tapping it to see if the revs drop
  17. Actually looks like both motors move together, so i would go with door broken off lever or more likely sensor problem
  18. Ha page 98 2 motors attached to the bottom of the heater unit. The motors rotate moving a lever system which varies the air mix door to heat or cool the air. A sensor in the duct sends information to the auto amplifier which decides how to adjust the door Looks like one motor moves it to hot and the other to cold? Or the sensor is broken so the auto amp doent know the air is hot, so keeps trying to warm it to the selected temp
  19. There is also a self diagnostic to check the actuators, accesed by holding auto and off buttons for 5 seconds. Details in ha section of the service manual. Not sure how to post the relevant pages
  20. The auto aircon uses 3 motors to adjust hot / cold, recycle, and direction. Theyre in behind the centre vents i think
  21. Yup, just those without friends on here
