  1. Its not going to effect boost coming in your raising the compression ratio which is good for off boost but will probably require timing to be retarded a tad more when its mapped, as long as you entrust it to some one who knows what they are doing I'm sure you will end up with a very powerful Z
  2. I don't thing the head gasket on its own would be a huge problem but its not going to be helped by adding skimmed heads to it. Will be very interested to see what it makes and when boost starts coming in, I'm sure you will still get very good power from that lot
  3. Unlikely to be collapsing flexi there is a lot more pressure pushing the fluid back from the clutch than you get from a caliper, you would need only a small amount of pressure in a calliper flexi to get break squeal, there is as much energy being pushed back against the slave cylinder as there was to push it out. Would start with fluid level, check for signs of leaks at slave check clutch pedal is set right and then start looking for more serious problems. If your having to pump it it sounds like air has entered the system some where, has it been working ok and just got worse or did it start all of a sudden ?
  4. Would start with boost leak test and make sure nothing is lose connectors etc, could also be afm and a million other things
  5. Hows it running ?
  6. Sorry I missed this there are so few meets I don't check in here that often Dohhh
  7. Yes the engine sounds the same in both cars though lol, I here yours will soon be back on the road
  8. Looks like my ability to embed video sucks too try again if not will add the link to click on too &hl=en_GB&fs=1&"> &hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"> Link as thats above is probably no different to first attempt
  9. I prefer single but I'm biased, not the best recording in the world as my phone is a bit pants
  10. Follow the oil pipe from the passenger side turbo goes into a block bout the middle of the sump has a 2 pin connector looks like a cylinder bout 1" by 2" deep, it unscrews, you can spot it easy from under the car
  11. Your either going to have to fit an after market gauge and sender you can trust or take it to a garage that has an oil pressure test kit either way You really need to work out if it is low oil pressure before you do serious damage, rattle could just be sticky lifter but it could be oil starvation
  12. First off good luck With the first problem ring lands on pistons tend to fail because of det not running rich. Until you have all your air leaks sorted your not going to be able to work out how well the engine is running.
  13. Thats why i removed my idle valve and replaced it with a chrome ball valve, that and every other issue related to idle lol
  14. Depends how deep your pockets are http://www.aaa-hiperformanceauto.com/9.html
  15. Tubbs usually smoke worse on overrun ie after you lift off, back pressure tries to suck the oil into the rear housing causing smoke. as a temp measure you could remove the inlet breathers and then blank off the pcv valves and run it with non to rule them out before deciding a course of action, if you could be bothered to get to the inlet side of the tubs you could check he shaft for play. It could be either at the moment or both
  16. just go to the last page of threads in the section its there
  17. I have had intermittent cutting out issues for a while and always linked it in some way to the idle control and a fast idle which was likely to be the fast start valve, have replaced them both cleaned them but every now and then it would still annoyingly cut out. I have binned them all and replaced the idle control with a 15mm ball valve and set the idle to 900rpm, its been on for a month now, been to Crail for a track/drift day, been to the lakes and not cut out once. Need to rig up something for a fast idle as its a bit lumy for the first 30seconds with out the fast idle.
  18. Sir I salute your honesty on your e bay listing
  19. 148 at 6300rpm but its unlikely with stock power it will get there, if its theoretical maximum your after you should stick with the auto its got longer legs
  20. Correct, need backplates and handbrake set up from Z to do an s14
  21. Uk definitely has oil cooler for box, I bypassed mine 3 years ago and the box has not melted yet.
  22. My s13 was the same if not a tad worse
  23. http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=126/category_id=287/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd126.htm Cheaper than buying clocks and will cope with any changes you make in the future
